Sorry to hear that Alacrity, I hope your situation settles soon and that you have some free time to yourself.
P.S. Your gladiator system sounds really cool (I just checked it out)

looking good, I thought you just bought a set at first glance, great job
I bought the pathfinder pawn set, (40 bucks is a lot cheaper than the dnd minis, 12 bucks for four random ones) so I didn't think it was a bad investment.

Topic: Slate: The Hundred Years of Rain Subject: ouch
Damian let out a howl of pain as the blade bit into his skin and he prepared to swing his quarterstaff as his side ached but as he heard the yell of the blinded woman, he let exhaled sharply and lowered his quarterstaff. He was on the alert though, standing still when he heard a voice, one of his new allies.
"The old man's life is not my problem. I'm that type of person."
Then the twang of a bow and an arrow being released and he thought: The fool! She may not care about the man but the water should have been on her mind!
His mind racing he shifted his attention to the mage. He had to stop her and unknown knowledge surfaced within him. He ignored the man beside him and walked forward slightly, getting a look at the spell caster, chanting an incantation quickly, a fire beginning to form in his palm. The shadows danced along his face, heightening the scars. If that woman dared speak, dared open her mouth to cast a spell, he would hurl the fire at her in the hopes of silencing her. He had to save the water.
( OOC Edit:Changed based off of Clary. Gets a good view on the man and prepares to hurtle a produce flame at the woman if she casts which I assume she will)

Topic: Slate Q&A Thread Subject: druid
I have spell that allows me to create water, my char doesn't know that but he's going to figure it out soon. It's just that nozzle said that there's a resisted roll I think on whether or not it actually works.
@Nomad. I like your plan. If you can disrupt the mage and then we can quickly go heal the injured woman.
And everyone thanks for answering my questions!
Edit: I guess I'm just going to post, I won't act out on my own too much and I'll leave room to edit.

Topic: Slate Q&A Thread Subject: aight
Someone explain concentration spells to me please, how many spells can i have at a time, jsut realized that shelliagh and entangle are both concentration spells in 5E that means that entangle would go away.
Another thing is, Idk if they are bluffing, if they're the type of guys like "If I can't have it then no one can.".
I was thinking of casting mist, preventing them from targeting the cart.. but the mage is already blinded. Could she accurately aim at the cart?
For future ref, does Geoff have light armour? I was thinking in the future before a fight I could cast cats graces and (I think) it gives a plus 4 bonus to dex, increasing AC by a crap ton

Topic: Slate: The Hundred Years of Rain Subject: Whoopsie
Damian was shocked at first but when he noticed that the plants didn't entangle him, he stared in awe as the plants seemed to.. respond to his anger, he called out to nature.. and it answered. He was slightly perturbed that his companions were tangled up. Putting the thought out of his mind, he faced the swordsman on his left, sizing him up and preparing to dodge. His quarterstaff appeared to grow in size and it seemed to hum with mystical energy, as he prepared to swing it at the swordsman
(OOC: Cast Shilleigah, designate swordsman as dodge to get that plus one AC. Preparing for an attack. )

yea without a doubt, I didn't think I'd be able to scare them away that easy, but i was hoping that by casting entangle plus the scars, it would allow the others to get the jump on them

Topic: Slate Q&A Thread Subject: Intimidate
Yep. I'm hoping I can switch the negative char mod to positive or at least get a buff when I use the scars for intimidation. (I might take points in intimidation next level). Furthrmore, I was thinking that the plants would react to his negative mood and he would 'discover' his powers by casting entangle

Topic: Slate: The Hundred Years of Rain Subject: Not my water!
He was quiet for some time, sizing the men up and noticing the relationship between Clary and the chained cleric but he focused his attention on the men. Damian walked forward, standing straight and his quarterstaff clacked against the ground as he made his way to the front. His hood was up and obscured his face. Damian said in a menacing voice: "Leave. Trust me. This is not a fight that you'll win. But if you dare fight..." With this he pulled his hood back, exposing his heavily scarred face. "I'll make sure you feel the sting of the rain." His hands grip his quarterstaff tightly and he looks extremely angry at the would be thieves.
(OOC: He hasn't used druid powers before but maybe he can accidentally cast entangle on the men?)

Topic: Slate Q&A Thread Subject: Powers
Hey nozzle, as far as my background goes, I didn't have druid powers until the event with the rain, I wouldn't have had a lot of time to learn the abilities so I don't know if he would be able to cast spells yet. What do you think?
Edit: These are my spells
0 level spells: Light, Know direction, Create Water, Guidance, Flare
1st level spells: Entangle, Obscuring mist, Shillelagh, Produce flame. (Can cast summon natures ally instead)
2nd level spells: Cat's grace, Heat metal, Delay poison, Restoration lesser. (Can cast summon nature's ally II instead)
3rd level spells: Call lightning, Cure Moderate wounds. (Can cast Summon Nature's Ally III instead.)
The delay poison thing, Nozzle you can tell me to change that if you'd like
