You can most certainly take your time though!  Post days are monday and update days are wednesday (nights) so by all means don't feel obligated to pump a post out if you are busy

Take a bath in it for a while

Die results were as follows, success counts as 8+ with 10's exploding

Haze Stealth:  6d10 (6, 10, 1, 10, 7, 5) 2d10 (9, 7), whopping 3 successes

Alexander Perception:5d10 (3, 1, 3, 1, 6)

Alexander persuasion:  2d10 (9, 7)

You were lucky, He was going to leave without saying anything at all but now you have a line with him which is good

Concerning Haze, I was thinking this would be a good opportunity for you guys to meet up and group but nice thing about play by post is that it's not strictly necessary.

Concerning Rath, I'm using the Pastors character as a plot device right now and hopefully as a recruiter (not how I intended it to happem but since I'm NPCing it did.  I was thinking it would be a good way to party together but again not necsesary.)

I also have not forgotten about your contact and he is dilligently doing research at the moment!

Haze struggled not to draw any attention to himself and tried to do his best to blend in the shadows.  Luckily both men were preoccupied with other matters and the dim alleyway provided lots of cover.  He checked his breath, making sure that they were nice and shallow, imperceptible in the current conditions.  He was fairly certain he was practically invisible.

Alexander asked them man, his voice quick and urgent.  As Alexander looked in the stranger's eyes, it was clear that there was pity on his face.

There was no answer for a long time when suddenly he broke the silence, his raspy voice filled with amusement.  "Why this neighbourhood?  Because I live here.".  He reached into one his many pocked and took out a flip phone.  With one horrendously scarred hand, with unkempt fingernails and pale, pale skin, he held out the phone to Alexander.

"My name is Damian.  I think the man in white is responsible but I"m not sure.  There's a cell number in there, youll be able to contact me...  But be careful.".  His red eyes seemed to glow and pierce into Alexanders.  "There are always eyes watching...".  He said carefully, still keeping his eyes on his.  ((assuming he takes the phone))

He stands up straight, stuffing his hands back into his pockets.  "I've spent too long here.  I need to go."  And despite any questions, he left without another word.

((Die results are in the QA))

I binged the entire season in 3 days, I thought it was pretty well done!  I actually loved the netflix series so much that I got the first book and read it in a few days haha.

I have a copy of the books online so if anyone really wants a copy, go ahead and send me a pm

The series actually made me try to learn shadowrun, not exactly the same setting but it could be homebrewed up.

Concerning the sex, I actually thought that it was better than game of thrones.  Just because the sex actually served a plot device instead of sex being there for sex.

Alexander whispered ""Who are you? Please, don't run." and as he looked at the creature, he knew without a doubt that he didn't have a trace of malice in his eyes.

The creature stared at him for a moment, before beckoning him to follow him with a crooked, mangled finger. The creature descended down the stairs and it appeared as if no one noticed him. People moved out of his way and never gave him a second glance. Yet somehow, Alexander never lost sight of him.

((OOC: You can follow or not, I'm gonna write my post assuming you follow for the sake of brevity but I can always change things))

The door to the back slowly opened, the creature peered behind him to make sure no one saw him and as he opened the door, you got a very clear look at him. He's about 5'6", quite short wearing a fedora and a trench coat. His hands were ungloved and it appeared as if there are numerous scars on them. His nails were unkempt and it looked almost claw like.

Haze found himself nestled in the alleyway of the owl, quite carefully hidden in the dark. Upon hearing the door open, he couldn't help but take a peek and he saw a man dressed rather tightly come out of the building. (Same description as above)

Soon afterwards another man came out and Haze is able to listen to the following conversation.

"You... You can see me. Why?" The man asked in a nervous voice. It was quite gravely and rough, as if he smoked a dozen packs of cigarettes a day.

(response))

"I'm... no one. Just looking to fix up this neighbourhood. I've been doing research y'see. On this.. person. the man in white." At his last words, his voice lowered to a whisper. "Go see the pastor. I gave him all the information I have.".

(response))

((OOC: He is willing to talk briefly but will leave very soon unless stopped))

----------------------------------------------------
Preston nods quite emphatically. "Yes, that's true.". He agrees wholeheartedly with your sentences and says "The Devil takes those away from Jesus and I pray for their salvation.".

Collum glanced sideways at Pastor Prowler, he raises his eyebrows, "Why do you ask?"

Preston leaned forward, propping his head on his arms and said. "Just wondering what type of things you've seen. Some think of the Devil as a metaphor, something to scare the people to the masses. Others think of him as this spiritual being that tempts the weak. Me..?". He looked knowingly at Collum, seeming as if he was gauging his reaction. "I think the Devil takes many forms on this lovely earth. And sometimes, someone has to deal with it.". He gathered all of the documents and placed them into the envelope, awaiting Collums response.

post will be up by tonight or tomorrow, if you can't get your post in Eol, no worries, your character is kinda cowering in the alleyway at the moment haha

Preston listened to every single person, every single bit of information. A lot of it was hear-say, it conflicted with one another.

Despite this, he persevered, giving more comforting words to people. Eventually, he worked out that the most amount of "sightings" were centered in Vaughan. One even sheepishly asked for forgiveness as he admitted seeing the man in white at a small "adult entertainment center". A place called "Club Pro".

As more and more drunks appeared, the information got less valuable. Still Preston was patient with all of them, until he eventually noticed a small letter.

Eventually, the information turns more and more useless as people begin to drink more and then the Pastor notices an envelope entitled "For your eyes only. Pastor Preston. -L

He sat down after praying with everyone and then opened the rather thick envelope. It appeared that someone else has been investigating him.
A map with a circle and the words first time? on a small daycare center is inside. A newspaper article of a disastrous daycare that was forced to shut down. All of the workers decided to get hammered, neglecting the children. This happened approximately a year and a half ago. Preston read more and cases are detailed, spanning back this year. About 2 cases predated this time when suddenly multiple cases popped up this month.

Finally, there appeared to be a very blurry image taken from a traffic camera of a man in the background holding a cane. The picture was very grainy but it appears he was wearing entirely white.

At this point, Preston is brought out his thoughts as Colum comes up to him.

"Evening, Pastor," Colum rumbles in his deep voice. "Just arrived in town, working the circuit as a Biker Club Pastor and documenting possible churches around the northern hemisphere where bikers such as myself who love to travel would be welcome in their worship. Name's Ephraim O'Malley, out of Chicago. I heard what was said and am wondering if this is something I should warn my fellow sons and daughters of the Lord away from. Partly, it seems as though these incidents are a little shocking, but no less surprising than those found in any community where people have secrets. I mean," Colum affects a cavernous chuckle to soften what he says next, "with my kind of people, drinking, womanizing, etc. well, it kind of comes with the territory. What am I missing here? If you don't mind me asking, one man of the cloth to another."

Preston blinked for a moment, taken by surprise by all the information before smiling broadly at the man. "Welcome my good friend! It is a pleasure to meet another man of the cloth indeed." As Preston sized up Colum, he said "Just another flock that has lost their way. I'm sure that as a community we will be able to come together once again.". He paused for a moment, his thoughts lingered on the last phrase. He looked knowingly at the rather large man. "Say Colum... do you believe in the devil?"

-------------------------------------------------------

Alexander tried to cut off the being, tried to watch him from the corner of his eye. It was damned difficult. If he didn't look at him just right, the stranger would flicker out of his vision and he would lose him.

He stood up, his drink still in his hand as he walked to the stairway, trying to keep pace with him.

((Rolled composure + Wits, DC:3 to be undetected entirely. Result: 5d10 (9, 1, 2, 5, 10))

Alexander kept going, trying his best to be inconspicuous. Alexander lingered by the stairs for a moment, keeping watch from his periphery, when suddenly, 2 red eyes locked onto his. Alexander caught a good long glimpse at this creature underneath it's scarf. Its eyes were big and red, the flesh of his face looked torn and horribly disfigured as well as his nose was nothing more than a swelling lump on his face. As he looked at this creature, you saw there was no hint of malice within it's eyes.. no it just looked like they were surprised.

So I'm thinking once a week post like before, post by sunday, I'll try to post by monday but I will say wednesday is the latest post for me.

Does that sound good?

Will do! Thing that I like about premade modules is that everything is already made for you, so close to zero prep time

But I agree, I definitely don't want to burn myself out again so I will do my best to avoid that

I think I was just a bit too ambitious with it personally, I didn't know enough about the source, didn't have a good story line planned out and that combined with all the things I was a part of burned me out.

If you're up for it though, I think I might be running Curse of Strahd soon (probably with 2 weeks, just going to be reading the book in my spare time and prepping)

Alright! Well of the two games I was GMing I am more interested in this one so I would be more than happy to go ahead and continue this one.

I'm thinking if we can get 3/4 people, we can go ahead and continue

Hey guys! I am back,

I think most of the players that were here are still active! I am wondering if you guys are still interested in this (But perhaps I might just do a reboot since it's so long).

If you guys are still interested in this game, we could do this keeping everyone's characters and we can either continue from where I left off or restart since it's been ages and personally, I've forgotten everything.

As well if you've lost interest no worries!

Sorry for disappearing on you guys

Sorry about disappearing for so long, I think I just burnt myself out with all the games that I so enthusiastically threw myself in.

I'm putting more time into DnD and since this is so long ago, I'm assuming that this has fizzled out.

I'm thinking of running something again but I think at most I would be a player in one and a GM in one. I'll start a recruitment thread later on.

Sorry to everyone that I abandoned

I realize that this type of system isn't really suited to dungeon crawling or epic fights. They'll still happen but it'll be quick scuffles versus long drawn out combats.

Itll be more investigation than anything.

For the quick post I'm itching to post now and will start working on it for this coming monday hehehe.

One question that I have, if he openly stares at you, will you pretend you can't see him or would you meet his stare?

I rolled the equivalent of an insight check (wits plus empathy, got 2 successes, which is pretty darn lucky)

Even though you get the feeling this entity is dangerous, you gather from the way he walks around that he does not wish you or anyone else around here danger. At least not at the moment.

Me as a player sees no need to kill the ferals, I think it would make more sense to have them work to rebuild and fortify the city but as a character, he's totally okay with their deaths.

Damian is more than willing to go along with what the others want to do though

Damian is looking to talk to Daxos, mainly to figure out what's the next step.

Concerning hooks or whatnot, I think there's still plenty to do.
The ferals being organized and attacking suddenly is something that we might want to investigate.
Missing clerics is another thing.

As well, do you have a specific plot in mind nozzle? Cause then we can figure out to go straight instead of doing a U-turn and turning in a completely weird direction.

Sorry for the late post but I'm hoping that i'll be able to get consistent updates now that i got a post out. Updates planned to go out on mondays

I'm gonna message Eol about whether or not he has time to stay in/wants to stay in. I have something planned for him before but I wasn't sure if he was still gonna be a player
