I don't play for clothes.

You might want to keep that little fantasy to your own self. I'd hate for the ladies to rough you up for gettin to mouthy.

Yeah. Grace will be avoiding your games

Much like strangers

Hey Celeste, would you mind if Tess and Grace were good friends? I imagine Grace and Tess would get along well and could team up against Ken

Avoiding the game?

Awe, I'd make sure the game was straight with no funny business. Besides, you might win a few extra credits to help buy parts for your baby (the ship).

Sounds awesome, MMV! I'll send you a PM with a little history that she might have shared with you. (don't worry, Al. I'll send you a copy to)

Grace's intro

That was very nicely done! I loved the paranoia bit and you played it well. We're almost ready for blast off! I'm not at all excited to get this crew flying.

Room #8

Um, unless someone's already taken it I'd like to lay claim to room #8 for Jason's residence...that way he doesn't have to stumble to far to pass out after cards and whiskey.

Hey Brian, you wanna play some poker??

Heh

I don't see why not... he'll need to be taught Texas Hold'em however, because he only knows Five Card.

... why? Because I decided so ^^

Lessons

Jason would be more than happy to exchange Texas Holdem' lessons for a refresher course in triage or basic EMT techniques. I'm sure that we'd have to see what Alacrity thinks about that though....it could be the start of a beautiful friendship....*cough hack* sorry couldn't help myself.

Backstory...

That's a really good idea....it would explain why Jason's got the medical skills he has and perhaps give a reason for improvement in said skill.

liking post and interaction

Jason - I would assume you would have a small stash of cash to pay for drinks and stuff like that. As a moneyed individual you can get cash if needed under certian circumstances but you are limited by the debt and the people after you.

Grugg - Oh Captain? My Captain? I'd love to post tonight.

Negotiations

Al,

Hey, I'd like to make an Intuition check against Norm. Is he on the level or is he playing us kinda thing PM me the results or send them to me however you'd like to handle that.

Guys,

Here's what I'm thinking...First things first, this deal sounds pretty sweet but only if the guys on the level. I mean the tickets to the party...even if he can only get one or two...Jason can schmooze the party and try to hook up the ship with a contract that takes us off of Osiris and makes us more money. Now that's been said the feel that I'm getting from this guy is that he's a little desperate and a little wary of us. The desperation comes through in the apparent scatter brained/ absent mindedness of Norm. (It seems to me that the absent mindedness is a ploy that he's using to try and schmooze us.) After all, he needs this delivery taken care of and it has to be made in 9 days (no reason to tell him that we can make it in seven or less) and he has no knowledge of us and if we'll even hold-up to our end of the bargain.

To that end I have a couple of different thoughts...

1) We could try and push for more money in the up-front payment. I think that we might be able to get away with this given his time frame for the delivery. However, this may be too much of a push causing Norm to retract the offer of tickets to the party. Those ticket could be worth more than a few credits in the long run given that Jason has friends in high places and knows how to move in those circles.

2) We could let Norm think that he got the better end of the bargain by taking the offer once we can prove that it's on the level without haggling for more money. This serves two ends. First, it gets us off of this rock and moving with a cargo. Second, if we pull this off with a professional level of precision (We get the cargo there intact, with time to spare, not to much time of course, and with a minimum of fuss) Norm might decide to use us on a regular basis and that could mean regular work and a steady paycheck...steady pays means that we can keep flying and builds our rep for fast, discrete, professional service.

These are the thoughts that I had as I was starting my next post. What do you think?
