Well I think we need to max burn and scoot out of there. Even if the cruiser hails us then we are just keeping to our delivery run, long way to go and short time to get there. I'd guess there was some sort of fight plan filed that the Feds would check that confirms our trip and timing. By zipping out we shouldn't be looking suspicious, this doesn't look like a "School Zone".

We can check out then what Doc found.

Max burn? Is that necessary? I agree we should scoot out of there, but going full out might look conspicuous. There's always time later on if we need to go full burn (but I doubt it. I mean... we aren't doing anything 'illegal'); no need to draw undo attention to ourselves.

Well if we zip out that cruiser won't be able to keep up. They'd have to send out smaller pursuit craft and we can out run most of them.

I doubt that it's necessary to run just yet. Jason got clearance from the appropriate parties before we left port and the last we 'heard' the feds weren't interested in us. That said...I don't think that laying in our course and setting out as per our 'flight plan' with out lolly gagging would be a bad idea and maybe we should have Destiny setup for full burn on demand JIC (Just in Case)
Another thought,

Jason would probably be the best choice to head off the bridge and go with the Doc..that way all the working personnel on the boat are where they need to be...If I need help I can always holler at Ken.

I agree it is best to just see if they hail us and even if they do play it cool and sound legite... which we are ... kind of... for the moment... now if they want to board us then maybe decide upon burning and running... you burn now they will definately put out the word... and if they have our transponder then they know who we are... and since we filed a flight plan... they know where we would be headed... so.. for now I say play it cool...

That should sound normal and we're off! That won't look like we hiding anything and should not raise suspicions.

On the topic of what to do. The ship hasn't done anything and we are jet black so we are hard to spot out in the black. Why not stay at normal speed?

We don't draw attention and we don't burn our limited supply of fuel. Plus with the way Norm was twicthing, I have a bad feeling about our cargo. I vote we aviod the Alliance ship by acting inconspisous and if they hail us, we run like the wind.

Well if wind could run in space.

So, here's what I know:

1) Destiny has been cleared by the Port Authorities and has a filed Flight plan...so even if we run the Alliance will know where we are headed.

2) We aren't doing anything ILLEGAL.

3) The Feds haven't hailed us or moved to intercept us.

4) Grace said she covered her 'tracks' so to speak so they shouldn't know they've been messed with and even if they do they shouldn't know who did the messing.

5) The cruiser could blow us out of the black with little or no problem.

6) The cruiser's gun ships are fast enough to catch us even if we run.

The facts lead me to believe that we should stick to our flight plan and stay calm. If you guys would like Jason can even get on the horn and try to make sure everything is green before we go to burn as per our flight plan. That being said...if we rabbit they'll either have to chase us or they might see it as a reason to take aggressive action...I'd rather not die in a space battle that could possibly be avoided.

Phelan is right on all points. Our fight plan would say we have a long way to go and short time to get there, so jumping to full burn would not look unusual. With the general "leaving" broadcast that shows we are not running.

Now if we get hailed to stop and guns get targeted on us then that's a different story.

The Captain heard everyones concerns and made a decision.
