I was in such a hurry this evening that I didn't get to put in the Q/A that we do have a new player. I didn't think Kuriosaki would post so soon. But it doesn't matter.

So yes, give a welcome to Kuriosaki! Hope he'll give us a nice addition and an extra pair of fists that we can use.

Reralae: Miran has Sylvari on his language list... he just named it 'elven'. But it's the same in Audalis.

And Pao is a half-elf. I don't know how many languages he is allowed. I think only one, and that would be 'common'. He might catch hints of it, though.

And... I don't speak sylvari, but perhaps there are some patrons in the tavern that do. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to share what the poem/song means.

Half-Sylvari = Half Elf, so

If, by PHB, Half-Elves speak Common and Elven automatically,

So do Half-Syls?

I have a post ready for Pao to handle the glass thing, but will wait for a couple of days to post it, in case others want to step up or post their ideas (I'm including Dai in this, too, since she seems to have as much knowledge of what is going on as any of us do) ...

I forgot that the term is used for that as well with this campaign setting. What I meant is it's the language of Fey, put as 'Sylvan' in the PHB.

But still, I would like to receive a translation. I'm curious as a cat, and I was hoping that I could do something with the poem in a later stage of the game? Later meaning possibly tomorrow or in 2 months.

And Utan, please post your ideas. There's no reason to wait with posting to let others get to it. If nobody takes the first step, nothing will happen.

I'm going to wait with an update until people stated whether or not they're following Pao. I would encourage you all to do so though.

Also, I would like to note that you can get some very important information here. How you handle things might well decide if you are going to get close to actually helping Ormander, or if you're going to have to find a different route again.

Pao is getting hostile there, Wyrmsting/Utan. If somebody offers you the palm of their hand it means a handshake, usually. So I think you mistook it for a thread... which I can see why.

One thing though: you can't mask the fact that you're casting Magic Weapon, since it needs all forms of components (verbal, and somatic). Simply touching the weapon won't be enough. Or maybe you don't care to start casting in a tavern such as the Heart of Darkness, but that would be kinda foolish.
