Ok Question
Got my post pretty much written in my head just 1 question
Can I assume that Destiny has a gun range of some sort to keep everyone's skill up to par?

Nope........
We are too small for an indoor range, you practice when we are on dirt.

Handgun Range
Would not take that much space to be honest JC could have easily set up a one table range in say the Aft Cargo bay. I can't see not having one as good as he is, too not want to practice while during the long trips in the Black. Even if he is only using soft practice rounds.
In my post I had planned to invite the Simons to shoot with me at the ships range so JC can get a idea of just how good or bad they are.

Rogers Call..................
But I don't remember any range on Serenity and I don't think it's a good idea to be shooting in a pressurized ship in space. A workout room, wrestling mates maybe even a boxing area, but a gun range is a bad idea. Now knife throwing would be ok.

Thats Y
The soft rounds as they will not penetrate the hull. Soft rounds or practice rounds are just hard rubber that have impact power but not penetration. They are what is primarily used by Air Marshalls on commercial flights.
So having a range where we only use those rounds is possible. However your the captain so call is yours.

How long do we have before we take off to meet the liner and pick up our passenger?

hello
The problem with a gun range on a ship, soft rounds or not is the "accident" factor. All it would take is one person using the wrong rounds and you won't have time to apologize. The other thing to think of is the sound echoing throughout the closed space of a ship. I would say no to a gun range and I believe the captain has already spoke. You do have a weight and exercise room on the ship if you look at the map. If you are looking to test your new companions, you can always spar at martial arts or even do a team game and see how well they work together.
How much time? You do not know yet. Badger has said tonight but not when. If he is looking to sneak the girl out though, you can probably assume after midnight and somewhere isolated.

a little bit of catch up
I had a collaboration with MMV, but that was a "call back to the ship once we are out of Badger's office" type of conversation, and I didn't want to skip us forward until we had the deal sealed, and the rest of our instructions.

Rooms
Before we start moving, let's see where crew is staying. If I am wrong with any of these, let me know.
Looking at the map on the Character Thread
#3 Jon's Room
#21 Grace's Room
#20 Stephanie's Room
#12 Angela's Room
#11 Tess' Room
#9 JC's Room
Open - 8&10 (I was thinking #8 for Catie)
Guest Rooms - 5&6 (Note both are double occupancy and can be converted to two small rooms with a privacy screen and some duct tape.

We stuck Angela in the storage room? I remember us discussing that tiny room should be converted into a garden bunk (around page 11 on this thread). Not so much?

Angela insisted
Grace tried to give Angela the bigger room but she refused and wanted something small and enclosed.

2-credits
#8 looks good for Catie. It's on the left side. Or right side if looking towards the back. Which means, if a ship's forward direction is considered 'north', the flipped compass puts #8 as towards the 'east'.
I don't expect that to make much sense right now.

Yup
If any of you have ever seen Whedon's DollHouse, you'd understand:
1. Small and enclosed is what Angela's subconscious is expecting.
2. Even if she wakes up scared and aggressive instead of scared and confused, there's not a lot of room for her to build up momentum if she tries to trash the place.
That second one is from me rather than Whedon, but just keep picturing a doll put in storage between 'gigs'.
