Raiel sets off quickly with her Cooshee following at her side.. The green elven hound attracted attention as they moved about . Raiel asked about for the best fletcher from any bowman she spots. She follows their directions to the shops and picks up 50 of his best arrows.

Rayne also finds a supplier of trail rations negotiated for trail rations enough for her and her Cooshee. Then she went looking for a few more dagger to hide surreptitiously about her body.

With her purchases made she makes her way back to the gate well in advance of the stated hour and fines a place to sit and watch the comings and goings through the gate and look also for the others who had accepted this mission.

"Thanks you for the offer of supplies. I so need food at, least I really do not have the need for much else. I also think we should bet going as soon as possible, "Siliwen adds politely and moves over to check out the pile of supplies the dwarves have indicated.

It doesn't take her long to pick out a few basic, dried meat fruit, things that do not take much preparation. She then unpacks her back pack of all unnecessary wight, that will not be needed for the final push to get to this object. she takes out extra sets of clothes and multiples of anything she carries. She does take saves a small piece of soap and a wash cloth, though. One can't expect her to go around dirty.

Siliwen watches the others get ready as well As soon as every one has what they think they need in the way of food and supplies offered she is ready to go..

Going over to the Dwarven leader she speaks with him. "I wish you the best in your battle against the Dark One's forces, May the Gods favor your efforts. Now if we may have that guide you spoke of I think we are all ready to get going."

If you count Sheva's death as well that is five deaths. And your right it would have been more if Xaris hadn't swallowed that potion. because he was virtually dead but happily for im he survived on a great roll. That would make a 54.54% death rate,

Silvara acted for good or ill her decision is made. She steps to Zora side and uses two charges of her belt to heal her. then takes up a defensive stance to protect herself and Zora.

"Corellon aid me," she prays frevently. "Tyr aid you Paladin."

Silvara recovers quickly from her dodge and since she has been making snap decision as her life depended on them, she made one know.

Hoping the that seeming Demi-god can not =use a breath weapon one after the other, she sprints for Zora and goes for the key, she had seen Zora staring at the chest of the Pieta.

With a pray to Corellon and to Tyr for Zora, and with the key in her hand she will leap to the statue, use the key and hope that whatever happens will destroy Malice.

(You know there has to be some hope, somewhere, and one would think the Deities would not want Malice loose.)

Rhiana's face showed her disgust at this whole business. Stupid Star Fleet they should know it wasn't them, well this four that had donw anything to their blessed ship. Just because they would be the first ones to be suspected of it. They were of course the perfect shi'zak. (the Romulan equivalent of scapegoats.

The Star Fleet personnel were po-shats. Look at this Captain standing there with a phaser on them and they were totally without weapons, Maybe he was one of those cowboys she had read about, though they seemed to be more fiction than fact. They were supposed to have gone around shooting at just anybody or anything, for no good reason. He had a Security team to do the job so he should have just let them do it.

Must be a personal vendetta and that would not be good for us and truths may be over looked to serve his own desires.

Rhiana had had such high hopes of working with Federation scientists. A chance to collaborate with them to work together for a common goal. But it didn't look like it now. She even wondered if she would even make it to Deep Space Nine alive.

That anger-filled Captain looked like he would shoot them at the least provocation. Rhiana keep a wary eye on him.

Kaelyn, when we see and hear that happening and the spirit laughs maliciously don't we have a chance to act by attacking the body before it is totally regenerated. There must be some time available to us. Joanne posted already but I think we should have a action or two to take before it is totally regenerated.

Triple curses, thinks Silvara, "Why didn't I see that coming." Silvara turns to Zora, not saying a word just looking at her. She would leave but only if Zora did.

"Who and what are you?" she asks rather calmly as if asking for directions to an inn, trying to give herself and Zora some time to assess whatever they faced. Her sword was gripped firmly in her hand.

Zora looks to the statue, feeling that there is still truth to the riddle. She searches for a clue to that which would melt the Heart of Cold. As she looks, she does Lay on Hands on herself then pulls out a Healing Wand and uses it on Sil.

She hopes that Malice will thinks they must heal before they can leave, giving her time to try and rectify their terrible mistake. She taps her belt for two dice of healing.

Silvara Stuck hard as she could her enchanted sword channeled the fiery power of her spell into the orb, and it flashed in an almost angry retribution. Silvara felt further drained by the orbs actions against her. ‘

Zorana's strike came down simultaneously, rhe Orb shuddered, and so too did the entire temple around it, before a great crack appeared on the orb's surface. The crack fissured and spread across the surface of the sphere, like a great earthquake rending the surface of a planet as viewed from space. Blue light shot forth from the orb, catching the women in a ray of icy cold. Zorana miraculously was able to shrug off the debilitating effects of the spray, only suffering the damaging cold, but Silvara was blown clear from her feet as the spray stole a part of her essence.

The spirit then spoke to them again, “You have have stopped the orb... now, the heart.... bring me the heart....."

Zora steps forward and wraps her hands in her cloaks and picks up the block of ice containing the still beating heart as Silvara struggled to rise to her feet from where she had fallen. She needed to be ready for anything else that might transpire.

Silvara moved wit Zora ready to help.

After she is finished with the paper work Inga just sits quietly monitoring Sgt Lee's vitl signs. It gives her some time to think about what has happen thus far, sort of putting two and two together and getting sixes and sevens. Still they had already had some indication that the area of the observatory had undergone at least two changes just while they were there. First was finding to Soldiers that knew nothing about Rangers still being in this world and then when it turn into a cave with that monster inside it. Perhaps it would switch again.

"SSGT Kane," Inga calls out to him as he stands guard near the door.

"I just thought that the area of the observatory keeps switching about and different times and places keep popping up there. Perhaps you could keep trying to call the others and if they return, tell them to get out of that area."

Silvara

Silvara would go in with Zora at least to make a first and perhaps a second strike, but she would not stay in the field of darkness until she was drained. Nothing would be gain by doing that. She also wasn't sure of Zora's interpretation of the verse Firin had given them, about the heart of darkness but it wouldn't hurt to focus on a strong positive emotion.

Thus it is with mixed emotions she moved forward with Zora
and a added prayer to Corellon Lantheran and the deities this temple had been built for. "Help us as we try to rid this place of this abomination.

Not exactly what she wanted to do but then holding back considering what the spirit had said was not an option either.

When Silvara pulled on the candlestick se had set into the massive door it pulled down like a lever and a great grinding sound of hidden gears and machinery was heard, weights and balances working in unison to move the obstruction. The door gave way slowly, lifting up into the ceiling of the threshold, till only a faintly golden half foot thick line could be seen.

Silvara looked in to the large room about five spans wide and ten spans long. TO her it was obviously a place of prayer or ritual. There was a Alter area at the far end surrounded by great ornately carved alabaster columns . A lovely statue of a motherly woman seated apparently holding something in her lap was desecrated by the destruction of what had been there and it being replace by a chain skeleton. There were six skeletons posed as if praying in the pews that filled the left and right sides on the room. but Silvara did not think they had died her like that, certainly not willingly. What was very out of place was the back sphere sitting on a pillar of almost black rock just before the statue.

Silvara cautiously steps in over the threshold and that is when she felt that strange cold breeze almost batter against her. Perhaps trying to keep them out, or warn them but whatever it was it was to late as she and Zoranna crossed into he room, the floor scones along the way lite up with an eerie bluish purple flame, and a purple glow surrounded the sphere and begins to pulse, expanding slowly outwards

"That thing is Evil incarnate." Zora gasps. "It desecrates this temple. More than that, I fear the skeletons will be roused against us."

“I agree this whole setup is not good.” Silvara says flatly to Zora. “I say we back out and shut the door and try to figure this out and make plans. That or we still step back and force the skeletons to come to us only a few at a time.

Silvara liked to be able to figure things out ahead of time she hated surprises and unknowns.

The world erupted around Geim as he ran towards the others battling the Wyvern rider. Exactly what hit him as he ran across the meadow towards his friends he had no time to wonder about. He only had time to see them go down as the ground erupted around them. Whatever it was hit him hard and hurt hiim as well. He had brief moment to use the spell he had planned for Loda on himself as he fell.

Geim struggled to get up but he was overwhelmed by the goblin forces. Geim fought back from the ground with grim determination. HE was poing to take as many as he could though he didn't expect to live though this.

Pain means life and so it was that aGeim knew he was still alive. His body was a loud throbbing multitude of aches and pains. He gritted his teeth and they hurt too so he just laid there for a moment until he could think clearly. He could hardly see through lids that were virtually swollen shut. He tried to move after a bit buthis muscles did not want to respond.. SOme of them counldn't as he found out pretty quickly that his hands were bound tight.

"Kharox give me strength," he whispered, not sure where he was or who was around him. He still had his armor on but he was not on any grassy meadow it was a hard surface.

Awkwardly he managed to get himself seated mostly in an upright position and he squinted to try see who might be with him.

It was then he heard someone speaking but the ringing in his ears made it hard for him to understand. He started to shake his head to clear it but pain quickly stopped him from doing that almost as soon as he started it. Geim grunted

Geim tried to make out who was with him. The darkness and condition of his eyes made it hard for him to see any details but the blurry shapes of others close by.

"Loda, lass Thondrek? Malius lad? Elessarae? Who's here?"

Sharon Shuttle Bay 2 1618

The appearance of their liaison had drawn Lt. Rhiana's attention when the Centurion began to speak to him. However he did not answer her questions and after a few words more turned and walked out. Hopefully he would do something about if even if he didn't say anything.

"So be it." Lt. Rhiana thought for a moment and then put her head down and and became immersed in her newest project though without a PADD to work on she had to use just her mental prowess which were considerable. Her focus on it made it easy to not think about being hungry or thirsty. It also meant she missed the entrance of security crewmen and the two Captains to Shuttle Bay and making their way over to where the force field was.

The rather terse voice made her lift her head up and take notice of what he was saying.

However when she saw him lift up his Phaser and aim it directly at the Centurion she stood up and moved over to where S'Talon and Sienae stood.

Rhiana glanced over at Shiarrael who still seems lost in meditation. She was about to go over and rouse Shiarrael out of her trance, but the Centurion moved over to do it first. Rhiana saw Shiarrael come up out of her trance and look around trying to figure out what was going on.

Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire,. Nose is Longer Than a Telephone Wire
Lt. Kennedy is a liar. He lied to Captain Kel.

Point of fact; Lt. Kennedy never mentioned a word to the Romulans about the "schedule" for food, water, and use of facilities.

BS read your post from the time you left the bridge to talk to the Romulans after they made the complaint. You mentioned nothing about the "Schedule" to the Romulans. Yes, you did mentioned it so some Ensign earlier, somewhere else, but not where the Romulans could overhear it. That ensign then relayed it to a crewman Morga who came to Shuttlebay 2 and spoke to the security detachment about food, water, and necessary facilities for the Romulans. He assumed we could over hear him. S'Talon was busy with his own thoughts and problems, Shiarreal was in a healing meditation, and Rhiana was deep into some problem solving about RCDs, and that left Sienae who had her mind on other things. There was no direct relay of said information to the Romulans.

When the Centurion ask where enad when YOu should have realized they have not been told directly and somehow missed overhearing any exchange by Start fleet personnel.

You left the bridge to talk to the Romulans promptly after receiving the complaint some 2 hours later supposedly after they had been told about the "schedule," During that time, no one directly told Romulans anything about the schedule and you did not tell the Centurion about those specific items when you came to speak to her, which is why she said you were not dismissed until you did.

Shame, Shame, on you.
