Topic: Audalis: Tides of War
Subject: Damara

Damara's hit should have cleaved that thing nearly in two. She had not Idea what this thing was. They were in a difficult situation, If it was just them they could have just moved away up a wall over a roof However, there were many innocents that had been herded into this area. She couldn't just abandon them without making an effort. She tumbled back towards Ruahn.

"We need to open one of those ways up to get the people out of here," she called out to Ruahn (She will fight defensively to keep the creatures away from her and hopefully the Crimson Place will rally to force a path through one of the blocked streets for the civilians. Damara also for a door on the square that they might be able to force open and get these people out.

"Crimson Blades, let's Force one of the blocked street open ot a door to get as many people out as fast as we we can."

Kyara oasue and waited for Hieronymus to move up to her. "We have something in this hall, I begin to believe it is not a person but ghosts. That makes sense especially when the voice indicated that it was glad we were here."

"Now we have a decision to make whether to examine the rooms we fine to prevent enemies to be left behind us though hopefully not raising an alarm if their is someone in there unfriendly to us. I can't imagine there are any such here except the females we heard or Jocelyn. Otherwise our choice i to move one and reach deeper into this place before being detected."

I will take the wand an check for sight sound and scent of anything I can sense In the tunnel to the side I will look for tracks and also listen to to what ever sound I can detect. Also sniffs the air coming out of that tunnel before checking the route ahead the same way using a light until it barely reflects on the wall of the curve then after that giving it back to Hieronymus.

" Siliwen insists rather strongly, "You could move ahead of us Virik, I have never known a Dwarf that would fear moving into a tunnel or cave. It seems very strange to me. We can follow with the light so that it will not be in your eye. So you take the lead."

Once into the cave (However, it works out.) When we come to the cross tunnel Kyara moves up to Hieronymus and whispers, "I do not like how steep that tunnel is to that goes of to the side. It could get steeper and plunging down suddenly.
I suggest keeping straight on and taking the curve to the right. Let me go ahead. and take a listen at both places, You need to stand still so I can do that."

The high pitched obviously female's scream echoed in the cave made it very difficult for Kyara to gain an idea of whether it was Jocelyn's voice, not that she would ignore whoever the female was.

"Who has a source of light?" she asks Hieronymus and Virif. Or, Virif, if you will lead us in the dark that would avoid the chance of warning whoever is in there.

"Let us move on as quickly as possible, but warily," Kyara added perhaps unnecessarily.

Hope you find a game that suits you soon.

Brianna reveled in each satisfying thwack as the huge ax hit the Orcs. She kept swinging that ax. She takes a step forward into the remaining Orcs midst. The keen blade hacking and slashing into the Orcs before her. Her Amazon battle cry ringing our loud and clear. She splits her attacks taking one hit per Orc. Her muscles ripple as they contracted and extend rhythmically.

Flame was somewhere close by, Brianna felt the heat of his breath attack and saw a flash of light on the Orcs around her and Shadowbane's massive black presence bit she didn't let herself be distracted to see if their attacks were successful. she new they would keep attacking until all the Orcs were down.

Kara continued down the tunnel feeling her way by touching the right hand wall, taking extra time to move to avoid making noise. For a light loving elf, even one who had been in many dungeon crawls before felt the oppressive darkness closing around her.

After moving 100 paces, she stopped, realizing that she was so far ahead that if she ran into trouble she should be so far from Hieronymus that help would be slow in coming, even if he could hear her.

Kyara turned and retraced her step using her left hand on the wall and counting out 100 paces before calling out softly, “Hieronymus”. She waits until her responds, If he doesn’t answer, she moves a few paces forward, she calls out again softly. Once he responds, she moves toward him.

“I believe we need to return to the surface and pick up Virif. Dwarfs are best underground with their sense and darkvision. I can tether my horse on a long line and give him water and food.

Tariel crosses the intervening space and draw up a chair to the table. Setting down her saddlebags and hung her bow case on the back of the chair.

Tariel looks around to see how close any local was from their table. Pitching her voice so that it would not carry to any other than themselves,

"I have a question for all of you. "Last Thirkday when that foul wind rose, Did any of you notice anything odd other than sudden change of direction and the feeling of despair and ill will it engendered.?"

"The reason I asked is be cause I was out of the city and noticed something strange. Even though I could feel the wind, but the wind did not affect the trees, brush or even the grass. It affected nothing other than animals and people. My horse reacted to the wind and of course I felt it too. But that was it."

Kyara's led the way into the cave her low-light vision helped her while the reflected light from outside gave her some light but that fade. However they rather quickly ran out of light. Hieronymus being human was in the dark before she was.

The last thing she wanted to do was light a torch but without any light they was literally in the dark. She though if she was alone she could feel her way forward.

Hieronymus, if you want to stop here you can. I would prefer to not have any source of light as that might give us a away, an so would your armor."

After the gates open in the early dawn, Tairel quickly dropped into her standard traveling procedure. Tairel rode out to scout ahead of the group, never to far off, but enough to get a good feel of the surrounding area that was ahead of the group. It was not so critical when they first started, but the farther they moved away from settle lands the more careful she was. Tariel used a random pattern to scout for their group, sometimes mounted and sometimes on foot. She would circle the group covering the right left and middle, in different order each time. She even swung around to the back to see if they were being followed.

It was an easy trip. They finally rode into the of their destination for today stopping in front an the inn they had stayed in on their last trip. She dismounted. The rest went into the inn. Tariel did not go into inn right away. She lead her horse to the stable and she help to untack their horses.

“Here, let me at least untack my Mare, she can get fussy about who handles her." Tariel is hoping the stableman would appreciate her help and be more willing to exchange for information. When she is done with her horse she helps with the others as well. “It is nice to be back here again,” she initiates the conversation. “How has everything been since we were last through hers?”

After Tariel got as much as she can from the sable man, tipping him a silver for his good work, She does not head straight for the doors, but instead makes a circuit around the inn just to get the lay of the land. Only then does she enter the inn and located where the others have taking a table and moves to join them.

“I hope someone has ordered me an ale. Did I missed anything?”

"I did not suggest climbing down the cliff. I only suggested that those we are following may have used magic to go down. Beside I would not leave my horse behind, so for me one of the trails will have to do," Kyara clarifies.

a That seems to be a possible choice. Let us investigate that cave.

Moraglin glides unseen above the Orcs raiders as she clears the forest and sees what is going on. "Orcs" she said out loud, in disgust, not that they could hear her with all the noise being made below her. Orcs pounding on the Door. She watched Brianna and the big Felani, Oko, charge into that mess in front of tthem.

Moraglin targets as many as she can in a close group. Her first spell was a Maximized, Empowered Flaming Sphere that she cast down on a small group of Orcs and she kept concentration on it to hit as many Orcs as she could even multiple times. Soronuume panther lit into a lone Orc with tooth and claw. That make her fingers twitch, a touch of racial memory causing that reaction. She had plenty of powerful spells but she could not cast then with so many of her in th companions midst of the Orcs When she can.

what to use would depend on the movements and groupings of orcs, and how close her companions were to any area of affect spell she might cast.

Responding to Ruahn’s hand signal, Damara began to move towards the guards. Sneaking and stealth was not very useful in a crowded square but using a few tricks she had learned would help her-Misdirection and obscuration would be useful, and don’t let others know you destination don’t, obscure your intentions from others. Therefore, she backed up closer to the guards talking, as if to someone in the crowd, “I will meet you in about and hour at the main square. Don’t be late.”

Damara had gotten into striking range if it was need. She as glad she had worn her mithral shirt under her clothes. She did not regret with having her bow as she was not intending to wound or kill and arrows in such a crowded area could always miss and hit an innocent by-stander. She put her hand on the hilt of her sword but though of carious other options that she could use to give Kor a chance to leave the area without risking himself or his companion. She understood the connection Kor had with his wolf, as she had been raised by her mother in an elven community and worked with rangers as a scout. Obviously, the noble did not and being a noble and used to getting what he wanted did not help the matter.

Hatching a possible move in her fertile imagination that would disrupt the guards, she thought that she could foul up the guards by simply faking a faint into their arms since most had gather together to guard the noble from the Sylvari Ranger. That the ranger had made no hostile action did not seem to matter to the noble who had called on his guards to protect him. It was a ticklish situation.

Though she stood ready to act, she was surprised by the dark robed stranger that enters right up to one of the guard s that guard called out in pain. Things rapidly spiraled out of control as the crowd panicked. Damara tried to figure out why that happened. She quickly scanned the area the motions of the crowd to pinpoint the origin of the mass panic and then she spotted other robed figure emerging from all directions driving the crowd before then into the center of the square. She drew her sword, which until this moment seemed a decoration on a festival dress up outfit. Now the wicked steel blade belied wielded with confidence belied that initial impression.

Damara heard Ruahn call for any Crimson Blades, She hoped that some of their guild members were about. She moved forward towards the firs robed figure that had attacked the noble's guard in some way, to make a skirmish attack on the robed fig that had injured the guard from behind.
