My post disappeared.

I must have closed the tab before it processed. I guess I'm rewriting it.

post is coming...

I had a post almost wrapped, when I realized that I have a serious issue with the "new" Midge.  He's listed as an Evoker, a member of the Secret Storm like Atharis.  But Ayrn's new spell list was for a Conjurer - and I somehow missed that fact.

Fun fact: conjuration/summoning is a direct opposition school for invocation/evocation.  So something has to give.

We're either retconning Midge as a different class, or Ayrn is going to have to swap his spell list and retcon his last post.

I'm leaving that up to him, but I do need this fixed prior to combat.

post is up!

Things are still hot and heavy, obviously.

Since no one has applied magical healing yet, and you haven't had time for natural healing, any wounds from the earlier fight are unchanged.  Note that Aranwen is hurt worse than before, though still not seriously.

Health:
Ch'dau - minor wounds
Aranwen - minor wounds
Gib - moderate wound
Kithran - minor wound
Midge - unwounded
Cedric - unwounded
Atharis - unwounded

Kithran - you didn't give me a contingency plan beyond helping Ch'dau, and since he had his window well covered, you had no opening to act.

Atharis - you gave no plan beyond "see what's going on and act a little tipsy", so I did not presume to cast spells or attack for your mage.

Cedric - you gave no plan beyond "bless people", so that is what you did.

Is the blue robes that the giggling cackling thing wearing matching the pilgrims or matching our wizards who are part of the enclave?

My guess

... pilgrims... but, perhaps, we'll never know.

Question for the Olan: Are there still shambling walkers coming in through the door?

If yes, Midge maintains the spell.

They are wearing the sky blue of the pilgrims, not not the midnight blue of Atharis.

It does seem like there are more zombies outside of the door.

robe colors

Please note that as a final edit to a new player taking the character, Midge is now a member of the Walkers of the Planes, as opposed to the Secret Storm.  His robes are now orange - and the connection here in town only belongs to Atharis.

Question

Are there any torches, lamps, or lanterns still lit in the common room? If so, are there any within easy reach?

Edit: On second thought, never mind. Setting the undead alight in the open might be a good idea but trying to torch them within the confines of a wood-slated inn might bring more trouble than it's worth. I don't imagine being on fire will stop the shamblers from their inward press.

heh

For the record, there are lamps here.  If you want to try to set them on fire, I'm not stopping you...

I'll keep it in mind...

...as a last resort kind of thing. I'd love to see a flaming horde of undead, of course, just not in the same Inn that we're occupying. Could make things a tad uncomfortable, donchaknow?

Thank you for the clarifications, O' Mighty Dungeon Master.

I am very glad you had second thoughts about the blaze, Eol. And, I have posted.

Yeah...

...hot-headed is one thing, hot-everything-elsed is a whole other kettle of kindling.

Good call on the tables, too, Ali, and nice strategizing on Gib's part, Brom! Post in the works.
