Okay, folks.  The recruitment thread for HC2:EB is up.  I have gone ahead and prefilled the slots with everyone from this game, as my understanding is that all surviving characters will be returning for the next chapter.

Well, I mean, Kith will be there, just not as a PC.  But she'll be the deathgod baby mamma, and main squeeze/main torture vitcim of the big bad guy, so... yay?

Okay, so I put together a little something as an "epilogue" of sorts for Hidden Corruption. A glimpse at what becomes of Ch'dau and Aranwen, in particualr, after escaping the temple... I figure I'll build on this, bit by bit, whilst we wait for the next chapter to get underway/ I hereby extend an open invitation to any of you who would like to contribute to do so as you will.

I suppose I should also note that I took a few liberties with our surviving characters, here... I feel like I've come to know them pretty well over the last year+ but, if any words or actions I put into your mouths don't seem to quite fit, feel free to let me know and I'll be happy to edit.

Hell, Bree suggested that perhaps Ch'dau might get in touch with ol' Mosic Townes and enlist his aid in getting Aranwen's head right. You're more than welcome to pick that up... Don't want you to feel left out of your own tale, boss, even if it is just a peripheral jaunt.

I really can't help but think that were Ch'dau not there to keep her sense of self intact, Aranwen would cease to be in the sense that she'd start thinking of herself as someone else. An attempt to block the past by creating a new 'self'.

Yet, she is still lost in so many ways. However, despite all of that, and despite appearing still lost even on the day the others call for her, I can see how they might still reach her. If that were to happen, the broken Sylvari would ask them to wait one evening she'd take alone. One evening for her to gather the shattered blade and reforge her blade of heart...

...that's a BIG part of the reason I decided to go ahead with the aftermath stuff, Butterfly.

Gives us a peek into what might be transpiring, at least where Ch'dau and Aranwen (or, is it Samuel and Sara) are concerned, in the span of time between the original game and the next installment. 

Besides, I've become addicted to the characters and wanted to keep playing around with them, anyway.
