My Bladesinger Lore skill is abysmal, but I think that checks out!

OR maybe it could be fashioned into something one could say, wear, after enchanted. Like, what if it was enchanted with some kind of restoration or healing magic? I don't know a lot about Sae either, but it seems like a Sae thing.

Lay it on me.

I'm home sick today so I've got nothing but gut-punching time.

I personally think that a Bladesinger who dies honorably in battle has not dishonored thier blade, even though it hits the ground.  To the contrary, I could see these blades beig held as relics, perhaps passed down to those worthy enough to bear them. 

To me, that's the exception to the rule.  If the blade touches the ground through your lack of skill, your lack of strength, your lack of fortune... then it is dishonored, and that is that.  If it touches the ground due to your death - particularly if you died well, for a good cause - then you have honored it with every fiber of your being, have you not?

Just for my own guts--this is after retrieving the blade from stabby girl, chopping off a bunch of Ara's hair, dying it hot pink, and snipping her pointy ears, yes?

I don't know for sure yet. The ending has not yet been written. One way or another, I can see that happening...

Jesting aside, yes, I am assuming in this timeline at least that we're at the epilogue state.

I didn't even think of heirloom weapons, so to speak. It certainly makes sense, though I am also fond of the idea that there is a forge master at Megilindor Nost who crafts their original blades too. 

The melting of a bladesinger's sword, the symbolism behind it is devestating.

I can't get over it, and I'm sorry

1. I'm thinking of breaking LKpt5 up into 2 semi-parts :3  22 pages is very, very long, and there is a point at about pg 12 that would work as a stopping point. And even 12 pages is a lot by itself.
Then again, I might just post it all and see what you guys think after the day or week or two it takes to get through it.

2. I'm gonna wait a while to post it either way. We've had enough of Kith lately, I need some Ara and Ch'dau posts in my life.

Been a busy day, so far, and I'm nowhere near finished, yet. I do have an idea or two in mind, though, so, once I get the chance to pay attention to what I'm writing, it should come together pretty quickly.

Also - Loved the "post-HC" bit re: Ara's sword. Sooooo sad.

I'll see what I can do about getting that started soon.

Anyhow I had a thought about threads - KCandK is a thread about their past, and Aranwen wouldn't accept being called Khatun post-HC.

Perhaps we might be best suited to making a fresh thread for their recovery and future? Just a thought
