Poor Ch'dau.  Just a squelching noise and an unpleasant stickniness to remember him by.

Post is up.

Well...

...that's krazier than kazari krap, I'matellyawhut!

Based on the inspection, I'm thinking that maybe we should open the door and see what lies beyond? What say the rest?

Additional question...

...is it possible, from where we are, now, to see the far side of the altar room? If so, does it appear that there are any doors, archways, etc, leading further in?

Too dark to see everything from here.  Cannot tell if there are any other exits from that large room.  If so, they would be behind the dais.

Locked doors are always suspicious

The polymorph trap is so well known as a thing from 2e D&D I somehow know about it despite never having encountered it

In any case, Kithran, still got any lockpicks handy?

If so, I vote wooden door first

I would only use a trap like that where it made sense - i.e. a powerful wizard's inner chambers or something, or in a beer & pretzels dungeon crawl.

Kith has lockpicks, yes.  From the look of the door, this will be a simple feat to open.

Well, geez-o-loobus!!!

Here's hoping there's a flight of stairs behind it ending in a pool of lava so that we can just give it a push and RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY!!!!!

jk jk jk

Only if it's an Iron Golem, for anything else she will, of course, follow the Bladesinger's orders.

Y'know...

...if it's a Straightening Iron Golem, it might not be that bad! I've got this kink in my tail that just makes me crazy and that mousse I bought from that merchant a few months back just isn't doing the trick.

I can't say that I'm not disappointed in those search results. I expect better from the interwebz!
