Subject: Two Is Better Than One
Thäoran was on his way to retreat when he saw Silver's brave and noble act of rushing amongst the enemy to pull their unconcious dwarven friend Dok from mortal peril.
On her own, she may not prevail, the elf realised with concern. I must assist.
Returning his bow to its polished oaken tube on his back, he rushed to the aid of Silver and Dok. He tensed as he heard the goblins' mischievious giggles and the gnolls' deep malevolent growls. Both creatures' eyes thirsted for blood which, Thäoran thought, panicking, Silver, Dok and himself may provide if they did not retreat to safety swiftly.
The elf forced himself to calm and ran over to Silver on light footsteps.
'I shall provide aid,' Thäoran reassured his fellow elf. 'I shall drag Dok to safety. If you would, please defend us in the meantime.'
Thäoran grasped Dok's shirt with his slender but strong hands in anticipation of dragging the unconcious dwarf to the safety of the bushes.

Is it alright if Silver drags while Thäoran defends?
@Nomad: How many times can Thäoran use Protection? Once per turn (every turn), or once per entire battle?

What about both you and I work together to save Dok? Up to you. I think we would have more chance of surviving the goblins and gnolls if there are 2 of us.
@Nomad: Er...yeah, that is VERY confusing lol. This is what I understand:
*The rescuer of Dok can reach him on his first turn, but not move him to safety in that same round.
*If there are 2 players dragging the dwarf, movement speed is increased, therefore the two of you can move further each round than if there were only one of you rescuing Dok.
*You cannot attack while dragging the dwarf.
*Dragging the dwarf invites multiple attacks of opportunity by the enemy.
*The weakest character dragging Dok wouldn't have to do strength checks.
That's all I understood from your explanation lol. What if one player dragged Dok while another player defended them against enemy attacks? Is that allowed?

Subject: Hope I'm Doing This Right...
Thäoran heard Hornet's summons to retreat and recognised the wisdom of his words. The elf was confident he could fell the Gnoll, but at what cost? He had already suffered two wounds and was loathe to add more to his collection. So Thäoran kept his rapier unsheathed but disengaged from the Gnoll he was currently in melee combat with and fled towards the river, hoping he was swift enough to reach it and ford to the other side before the Gnoll caught him and re-engaged in the fight.
((OOC: Thäoran disengages from the enemy. This does prevent an attack of opportunity, right?))

Thäoran crouched amongst the bushes and quickly took stock of the battle. He noticed Silver's reetreat and the goblin that would inevitably persue her. Silver's back was exposed to the deadly weapon of the foul little fiend. Thäoran could not let the nasty creature wound his companion!
He quickly knocked an arrow and pulled on the string, the swan feather fletching tickling his pointy elf ear. Taking aim at the goblin's head behind Silver, he loosed the shaft, hoping his aim was true...

Subject: Retreat and Live to Fight Another Day
Thäoran's cat-like eyes flicked around, quickly taking stock of the battle. He could see they were vastly outnumbered and, to make things worse, some pesky goblin had even set fire to Soledad's web! It would not be long before their enemies were free to spill out of the Vargolg and swiftly overwhelm them with sheer numbers.
Thinking quickly, the elf made his decision. He disengaged from his foes, retreating into the brush not far behind him, while also preparing to cast Shield to help protect him from any deadly shafts and ranged attacks that could head his way. He moved closer to Soledad.
((OOC: Disengage action. Plus if enemy uses ranged attacks on Thäoran, he will cast Shield. I'm not sure how close I can get to Soledad in one turn. Thäoran is attempting to get close enough to her to protect both himself and her. So the closest Thäoran can move towards her this turn is how far he moves this turn, if that makes sense. Hope I did this turn right!))

I just asked in a D&D group I'm in on Facebook about healing. They said that you can heal while resting (though of course you can't exactly rest in the middle of a pitch battle like we are haha). And on short rests you can use your hit dice to replenish any lost hit points+your con mod. And a long rest restores half of the used hit dice.
So I'll refrain from healing right now and use my hit dice once we rest (IF we rest haha. We could die first... 0_0). Is that alright?
