"Elaborate..."

He was calm, but something about the comment seemed to scare him inside.

"You'd be immortal and nearly indestructible. It would be so much safer for you. But you're scared." Rose knew what he was thinking, even if he didn't say it aloud.

"I can't hide my emotions from you. It's always been a strange concept. I feel I wouldnt be me...the man you fell in love with, if I was someone different. I don't mean any offense, but I simply don't think I could handle taking that which gives life from other creatures...even if I didnt kill them. If you want to turn me into one, I'm not objecting...just expressing concerns...do what you will...if it makes you happy...I'm fine with it."

"I don't know if it would." Rose stopped, her eyes closing halfway.

"I never got the chance to say if I wanted this life or not. And I want you to have that chance."

She closed her eyes all the way.

"But if you stay human one day you'll die. And I can be killed, but I'll never die of natural causes."

I'm doing this because you wanted me too...my opinion dosnt matter, nor will it ever matter. What you want, I am more than willing to do. All of this I've done, finding my son, telling you about my wife..al of it...was for you. In a weird way, I think it's helped you better undersatnd who I am."

He put his hand on her shoulder, exposing his numerous veins.

"Do it if you want to...if you dont, then what you fear will come true, and nothing can be done."

"But before you do...know this is what YOU want..."

"No!" Rose pushed his hand away.

"I can't change someone unless THEY want it. That's why I've never done it before."

"Thats why I find you so amazing...you care...so much...about everyone."

Travis took his knife and pricked his skin, sipping his own blood as it trickled out...
He laughed.

"A little salty...but I could get used to it in time."

He turned his back to Rose.

"What I want Rose...is to make you happy. If thats what it takes..then you can bet thats what I want. My opinion and my very mind is tied to your heart, whichever way you take it, I will always follow...and if I wasn't willing...then I wouldnt be here would I."

"Travis..." Rose closed her eyes.

"I want you to be like me."

"Then I want to be like you."

Rose didn't know what to do now.

"D-Do you want me to go ahead and change you?"

"Whatever it takes, at any pace you want to...I won't rush what needs to be done. If you want me different now...then make me different now. If not, then let me be for a while."

"NO!" Rose stomped her foot.

"This time I'm not gonna be the one who chooses."

"Give me a little time...besides, me unconcious for little while might be suspicious to the rest of the group...I want to enjoy being mortal for a little longer..."

"Okay, but let's get this straight now: Max already knows." Rose looked at the sky again.

"Travis, if I do something...would you not like me anymore?"

"That depends on what it is...if you were lop off my head...I think I'd be a little mad...but I wouldnt lose my head over it..."
