Max looked down. "My oldest brother Jeremy. Car bomb got him 4 days ago."

Seth looked down. He could plan out a battle, but his tactics with people were not that good. "I'm sorry to hear that. I know how you feel though. I had an older brother. He was 30. He was a reporter, got killed by friendly fire in Iraq the year I was discharged." Seth felt bad for her. It wasn't so much pity, as a desire to do something to help her through. "Just give it time, and you'll see his memory as strength, and it'll stop hurting as much. Trust me." He wasn't sure if she really felt that way, but that's what people always told people. It had to work here.

Max looked away. "I'm strong enough to handle it."

'When was the last time I was truly happy?'

"Okay. I'm sorry, I really don't mean to pry."

He just couldn't believe this girl was 16.

His head...it hurt...it felt like he was being bluggeoned with a hammer. What was wrong with him. Why was he like this. He held his unfamiliar face with his new hands. The searing hot headache rolled across his mind once again. He was crounched inside the empty store he had saw his new self at. His mind was throbbing and at intervals all he could see was flashes of white. Bright lights overhead.

He stood up and pounded his fist on the counter. The wood crakced in half and the counter fell out. He crushed a chair, broke a window, and kicked in several doors before the headache subsided.

He had to get back to HQ, have Max tell him what was wrong. He had to go now. He ran, as fast as he could. When he broke intot he door, they glared at him like he was an unwanted stranger. Then he realized he didnt look like Travis, he looked like a small military soldier in Travis' clothes. No doubt a military human in an old vampires clothes would look bad. Travis began to wonder if this was the best descion on his part.

Max didn't say anything for awhile. Suddenly, she hugged Seth. "This war took my mom and brother. And I can't even cry for them."

Max blinked at the man. "Who are you?" She moved between him and Seth.

"Max..." he didnt sound like himself either, "I know this is going to be...really...odd...but it's me...Travis. I don't know what happened, I need you to figure it out for me...or at least try."

He knew that sounded stupid. It made no sense, and he wouldnt be surprised if he had a gunbarrel staring him in the face in a few seconds.

When Max released the hug and turned to face the small man, Seth lifted the ivory handled pistol to the strangers head level. When he started speaking, he didn't trust it. Lycans already knew who each of them were, it would be too easy for them to make up a story like that. He walked forward and put the muzzle of the handgun to his forehead. "Prove that you're Travis."

"Okay. My son's name is Derric, I'm a crazy suicidal self proclaimed hero, I'm in love with a vampire named Rose, your name is Seth, her name is Max and that pistol was a gift from me after I killed the Lycan Dominic...is that enough?"

Seth lowered the gun down. "Welcome back. Now tell us. What happened? You're not huge anymore!"

Travis scratched his head. "This will come as a surprise from ou Seth...and I hope you don't think of me any differently now, but I'm a vampire...Rose wanted me to be one, so she bit me...and here I am."

Seth looked shocked.

"I was...hungry earlier, like I said, so I went out to...eat...I found a military soldier and I took him in to feed from...but before that...I turned invisible. Vampires don't turn invisible Seth! That's not supposed to happen. But thats not all, after I fed off him I started seeing his memories, then I...changed to look like him. Thats not suppose to happne either. I mean I understand changing appearence through magic...but spontaneously...Afte that I got a horible headeache, and I kpe whiting out and hearing voices. Thats when I came back here."

The two of them looked flabergasted.

"Can you guys think og whats going on...I've been studying Vampires for years and there is no explanation to this!"

"Max, do Lycan's have any special invisibility powers, or some super stealth abilities that might be similar? There might be a chance, Travis, that you have been infected with both. I did research on the topic, and they said that Lycan blood stays instable for about 72 hours. I'm hoping that doesn't mean it can mix with Vampire blood." Seth looked at Travis. "Did Dominic bite you?"

"No he didnt...he never even got close to me, and I can assure you I've never been bitten in my life. All of this dosnt matter to me right now, I just want to get back to looking like myself before Rose sees me."

Seths computer pingged...that meant he had recieved and E-mail. He looked at the title.

"To Mr. Travis Carter-Classified"

Max looked at the email.

"Ummm....You've got mail." She said, in the same tone her inbox used.

Max laughed alittle. "Vampires sometimes have abilities that no others do. If you want more, you'd have to ask Rose. I know for a fact she has a very unique one that no other has ever possesed: the ability to invade minds."
