I'm pretty busy for the next two weeks, so my posting will be limited. Kadrin is planning on following moving along into the cave entrance with the others.

As I read this, the Thief, Bard, Ranger and Cleric are going into the cave further. If I receive no correction to this impression, I will post on that basis this weekend.

...I'm thinking Jarenion will, for the moment, linger at the entrance in order to provide fire support if necessary.

Will attempt to get a post up to that effect at some point today.

Regarding Basalisks and their petrifying gaze... do you actually need to see the basalisk in order to be turned to stone? If my character were stuck in a fog cloud or area of magical darkness and happened to look in the direction of the creature, but couldn't actually see it, would he still be turned to stone?

And, I was thinking, you know what would be a truly terrifying creature? The undead version of a basalisk and behir's love child. THAT would not be a nice thing to meet in a dark and spooky cave. ... just saying.

Apologies for my lack of post. Wound up in the ER last week with breathing difficulties and, given the meds and illness they were fighting, had very little "gumption" and/or consciousness available to facilitate. :/

So the statues are within the first 20 feet and 90' of the entrance passage is shrouded in the darkness. Within the great cavern, the top of the embankment is also completely dark.

This guy is not in the module but I just had to share him.

So, we're walking into yet another trap that we know is a trap.

I sense a theme...
