one more thing
The Wall of Stone is permanent until dismissed or dispelled. The wall of fire will burn for at least 14 more minutes but the undead rodents are not leaping through the fire.

hah
I knew it was going to be ugly when the healers tried to lay hands on the afflicted. :-/
Apparently, the rat undead are just a nuisance at this point. Those ice skeletons, though, are bad news.

Resource Search.........
Got my clue, I'll start checking resources for ideas, including asking questions. Besides the standard 2.0 spells I check my other books. Got to think outside the box.
I'm sure an experienced Shaman like Odyson would know this, too bad he's being played by me.
I guess this how we earn our XP.

An option
I modified Jarenion's last post to include the option for dispel magic. Don't know if it will work, but if healing doesn't maybe this is more of a normal sort of attack? Can't hurt to try.
We waiting on anyone else to post at this point?

the room/corridor
You are basically in a ten foot wide corridor that ends in a metal garage door. You have to pull up from the bottom to open the door. Strange? Yes but what isn't in this module. Trap? Probably but what isn't in this module.
The next section is actually going to be very hard to describe. There will be some ... well I don't want to ruin it for you. But Odyson will be happy to hear there will be crudely drawn illustrations.

Sad..........
I haven't been in much of creative mood this week. One of the boys that was in scouts with my sons when I was Scoutmaster died over the weekend. He had been on the crew when we went to Philmont. I hope to get at least a brief post yet this weekend.

How to deal with a door
Ok, so I assume we have a bit of healing to do to start with, so Jarneion wouldn't do anything until that is done. His stone wall should keep the wights at bay unless something dispels the wall. The wall of fire probably only has 10 minutes left. Will the rat zombies follow us?
Jarenion could disintegrate the door - presumably this would eliminate any traps that might be there. Or set them off, of course. But it might makes things easier. It would also mean the door could not be shut behind us in case somethings try to follow us. It also burns up a 6th level spell. Jarenion has a lot of spells, but they are not unlimited and he has already used half a dozen.
Before that happens, it seems likely that Maximus has some stuff to do - get healed and look for traps. But I wanted to put this out there to see if others thought it was worth it.

Team Work..........
Oh good thought. What do others think? Ody in Hybrid form could help lift the door if Max says he thinks it clear. So do you folks want the door blasted or lifted?

well
The rats alive did not go into the caves. There is no trace of them at all in the entrance corridor or the small corridor you are in. So the undead ones are not crossing the wall of fire - Why not? They are zombies with no intelligence, you'd think one or two would try to jump/shamble through.
Unless their purpose is a much sinister one like keeping you in?
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
