Well

Asher and Ma's view is sorta blocked by a dead guy right now.

You would have seen the men dropping from the corvette.

You would have seen and felt the fireball/explosion and you'd have seen the two ships go down. All through dust and dirt but you get the idea.

Ok.........

Now this ia a bit assuming. Can I write Ma's actions and Asher's actions as they try to get the shuttle into the action?

Or would you rather to do some co-posting through PM?

You play Ma well so I have no trouble with you taking the lead.

Must clarify

Ok Roger those 3 Flashbangs could not have gone off as all but 1 were unprimed. Here is the line from my post that specifies that.

With all six flash bangs positioned he only set the third to fire. The other five he would wire to blow as they passed.
The third Flash-Bang was set on the rear stairwell leading up from common area into the Aft Passageway.

Also they were taped to the wall with the pins facing out so the chances of them falling even with the shaking of the ship would have been very very slim.

Comm...........

I'm going to assume that Wyatt hears Asher's call to Wolf.
With the battle rolling there isn't much stealth left.

The same would be for John and Willow.

If Celeste ever shows up she may have had Tess heard it too.
I'd guess if Tess crawls out the shuttle and sees or meets up with Deputy Callahan in the ASREV she'll remember her from Destiny and fatal wine run.

BTW...........

Would that shock wave have been strong enough to knock to Mercs off Roc's back?

That's a pretty good fall and could eliminate several of the Mercs. Their armor would be a negative effect to their dex and add weight to their fall.

I'd guess the flashbangs and then the shock wave would effect the ground troops.

out of time

The Mercs used the dust from the ASREV's created dust cloud to jump on top of the ship. They jumped after.

Correct...........Sort Of.......

Soooooooooooo? The ASREV made the dust to drop the body then moved out of the way as the Corvette moved in dropping the Mercs.

The Mercs were on top of Roc when Tess blew up the Cargo Lifter. That explosion shock wave could knock them off.

answers

I have often said that when people post they are posting what they think happens, and I am posting what actually happened.

As well, this is a game, controlled by dice and skills chosen and the GM say so. So things are not always going to go as you plan they will.

That being said:

Grenades:
I read your post Tann but Wolf set grenade traps using what skill? Covert - no he doesn't have that. Knowledge - no. Tech Eng Security systems? No. Hmmm. To quote Wolf himself I’m a mechanic Captain, not a bloody bomb maker
I decided to use Mech Eng as it was the closest and I wanted to find something you could use. However, there is a chance even with the best trap layers that something went wrong. S*** happens in combat.

So - Three flash bangs went off when the ASREV flew over. They did not hurt anyone or blind anyone defending. the soldiers had not entered the ship yet so they did not affect them either. Specifically they were the ones at the doorway between the catwalk platform and the door into the common area and Infirmary, the top of the stairs leading from the common area to dining area and the hallway to the engine room.

Sonic Boom
Not that your characters would know but Nancy created the dust cloud to cover the fact that she dropped the body with a message onto the shuttle. She then moved back to where she was suppose to be under same cover.

Shock Wave
I was reading your pre-post Ody in a hurry so I am sorry I did miss a point. The shockwave from the missile affected the shuttle that Tess was in because she was too close and the shuttle was not made for combat. Tess' Pilot skill failed and I played that she flew over-confidently. The 1-4 chances after that were, the ground, hit the Asrev, hit the Corvette and hit Rocinante.

So the shockwave from the missile did not throw Ma and Asher's shuttle around, nor did it affect the corvette or the soldiers.

Deputy Callahan
Nancy was not in the Wine adventure of Destiny. The feds were Sanders, Hudson, Hicks and Vasques. So there is a chance that Tess may gun down the fed spy, or vice versa.

Comm
I think it has been established that you can direct your calls on the comm to a number of people , so Asher can call out to everyone, or two or three as he sees fit.

Roger sorry

On this as an ex soldier I have to disagree.

A grenade is designed that if it falls and lands on a hard service it will not go off. Unless the pin is pulled by roughly two pounds of pressure releasing the handle which then causes a reaction that after 30 seconds will cause the grenade to explode. Those 30 seconds gives the person pulling the pin enough time to throw it. See the pic below.

As to rigging it that's relevantly easy also you just take a small thin metal wire, connect it to the grenade, and place the grenade and wire, the wire pulled very tight, at roughly ankle lvl. Low enough not to be readily seen yet high enough to cause the person tripping the wire to pull the pin with his body weight. 30 seconds later, boom. In this regard per my post the metal wire had yet to be attached to the pin so in Reality the grenades would not have fallen far enough or had their pins pulled. Plus they were low enough that the impact from dropping would have not been very much.

As for facing you just place the fat part opposite the pin and handle facing the general direction you want the blast to go. With a flash bang it explodes like a fireball in all directions so facing is not a problem. I seen kids do it better then some career soldiers. It’s not that hard.

Ok enough said lets move on. I'll try to get a post up by Sat once again but I have a lot going on so I maybe late so don't hate me if I am.

Okay

You can disagree with me if you wish Albert. My ruling stands. I do not need to know how a gun works or a grenade is pulled to play a game. Skill + ability rolled against a difficulty chart or a opposing roll.

Edit.........

Ok I did a small edit to down play the shock wave effect. I'll continue the post soon and they will realize that there is no issue.

Roger if you want to post on just Asher and Ma's last actions that would be fine. I can then move them along. I don't want to go too far yet because I have a couple of different action options in mind. But it all depends on what happened to them as they escaped off the Roc.

thanks Ody

I will look at it soon.

BTW - Sheldon in the caves is reacting to the sonic boom, not the shock wave. He mistakenly assumed that was his missile. Not that that affects anything.

Answers to the question

Via email, Bromern let me know -

Wyatt has the radio that is set to the Merc band.

The case is in the cave and given to Sifu. However since I do not want a NPC in charge of the case that means that Willow is now in charge of the case.

The second case (Matherson's) I await confirmation but I believe it is locked up in the infirmary with John. Please clarify if you know otherwise.
