heh

K21? That's outside the Castle. Or maybe I'm not reading the map correctly, which is entirely possible.

Are we where the T marks the pit Brutal fell into?

T marks the spot

The hallway is K21 but the map has it beside instead of inside. You are on the far side of T except Brutal who is in the T.

Somewhere between editions, this part of the map was changed in relation to the stairswell you are in so there is some confusion. According to some version, it doesn't exist.

ok

In an effort not to get shot; I want to throw this out and see if it might be possible or allowed.

Most of the movies I have seen regarding WWII, often there were codewords exchanged when two groups were meeting to identify themselves so that they wouldn't get shot by the other side.

Would it be possible that our group had such codewords in case we were separated and met up later? I think the smart airbourne rangers would have such codewords.

What say ye?

sure

I would accept that you also know each other from the training but codewords are good too.

So the code is "Alacrity" to which the other answers "Fitzhugh".

LOL

Those words seems unusual! But they will work!

I was thinking some more like: "Go Yankees" Response: "Dodgers Suck!"

But your words will work as well.

You may use whatever code you'd like. They more theatrical, the better.

How many of you remember the TV series "Combat"?

Durp...........

With all that has been going on I didn't even check the story post. I've been watching the Q&A but..........

Ok, I'll get something up, I would think that the Captain or Romo will answer the code call so I'll leave that out of my post.

I think a good response would be "Damn Yankees".

Next I'll be punny again...........

Woot woot maybe I'm getting my mojo back. I'll take a small compliment and enjoy it. Thanks!

Maybe the stress is slacking off. It can be tough writing fantasy when RL won't get out of your head.

Minor clarifaction needed

Almerin in his post acts surprised to find that Romo knows Max. As mission Commander he too should know who Max is as the group trained together right or were we just lumped together last minute? He should also know of Max and Romo's friendship through thier service records and the fact they served together in the 82nd at the same time. Plus in a unit of only 20 men he should easily know who is who.

So I'm a little confused here Alacrity before we were only 5 now 6 survivors what was the unit make-up as a whole. Out of the 20 men how many grunts, Sgts and Officers were there?

My fault

I meant to send out a note to all about who knew Max and how well but I never got around to it.

The original mission was two 15 men teams, one to take out the bridge, the other to storm the castle. Max would have been on the bridge team and Luke would have been on the castle team and therefore have only passing familiarity with Max. I didn't establish who was on what team because I didn't plan on adding Max until later in the game. So since Romo was on the castle team too, Luke would be surprised that you knew each other. Perhaps as an officer, Luke never dined with or shared quarters with the enlisted men? It really isn't important to the game so let's just let it slide.

I will be posting to all my games this week to get them going and starting my new D&D game as well.

Alacrity

Can you give me a list of what weapons and ammo we just found as I have a post in mind and that info could play into it.
Thanks
