Well...

We seem to be pretty good with item distribution, so yeah, I don't think we really need the bidding system as it is.

How do we give CD points? In PM's

Hehe

Sib works too, but Sibby is downright hilarious. Also, I fully know the extent to which Mithril shirts have been bought, though mine is better (to my knowledge) I went straight to Mitral Hall and got it one mastercrafted for me, rather than getting the regular stuff running all over Faerun.

Darn

So what you're saying is that you have a designer mithril shirt, and we have the cheap knock-offs? ...Darn.

Remaining items

We still have a few potions that people can claim. Personally I think Artanis should take the potion of cure moderate wounds, as she's more likely to get hurt than the rest of us (and Xaris still has a bunch of potions).

I'm not terribly keen on the ring of sustenance, so maybe we should sell it? (when we get the chance).

I'd like to Bart to keep the bag of holding, so he can store any party loot in there.

CD points

I've always given CD points in PMs and in those occasional times when I talk to Kaelyn in chat.

I would encourage people to give them regularly, as if you don't it's easy to forget about them completely.

a hitch

doing away with the bidding system is fine and dandy when the number of items coming is relatively high (nah, i'll pass today, i got one yesterday), or if the item's all have an obvious best fit (well, I am the only one who can use it), but what about when the extra item catches someone's eye?

Was that vague enough? How about some details...

I'm interested in half of the abilities of the Ring of Sustenance. Talus is already set for food and water, but only needing to sleep for 2 hours is really appealing. As a warlock, he doesn't have to spend 8 hours in order to restore full casting capabilities, so only going down for 2 hours doesn't have any draw backs...

...except that I'd be pulling 1250g from the group funds just to indulge some insomnia. I've got a quarter of that stored away and wouldn't mind selling the staff if/when we find a buyer.

What do you all feel is most equitable in a situation like this?

That's a fair point

I'm not really sure there is a (definitive) answer to that.

We could fit that into the 'no-bid system', if everyone is happy for Talus to take the ring (I certainly don't mind). I'm hoping that in the future other items will crop up for others to take, so that the items are spread out.

If you're uncomfortable with dropping the bidding system, however, (or if anyone else is) we can continue with it.

We could also create a compromise. That would involve not applying a bidding system on an item when there clearly is only one user. And applying it if it's a utility item or more than one person wants it. The problem is that it becomes a little fiddly.

It'd be good to hear people's thoughts on the matter.

Alright

I've left the prices and what not there in case there's a need to revert back to it in the future, but as of now I'm fine with wiping the slate clean and just letting those who have the items have the items. Y'all are grown p enough to decide how to sell items when the time comes etc etc.

Secondly Deuc, I think you made a comment on th staff being Arcane or at least the summoning spells within it being such, but Summon Nature's Ally spells are Divine in nature as only druids / rangers can cast it according to the Phb (though clerics have access to it through certain domains)

Whether or not that means anything is up to you lol.

Sibelius

I'm updating tomorow, but you're welcome in getting an introductory post in today if you'd like, or wait for my update and introduce yourself after I've placed them at the shrine, either way it's up to you.

Staff

Hmm, maybe we should sell the staff then (when we get the chance)?

We certainly have a lot of art objects, that our characters forgot to sell at Castle Tethyr, that we can sell. After this last battle, I'm determined to raise enough gold for Aelistae so that she can get her hands on an enchanted weapon.

Inspector Talus

Talus is going to do a sweep with detect magic.

'Sibby': Does he have line of sight to anything other than your ring? Is your armor covered up by a cloak or something?

Kaelyn: Can you roll my spellcraft check to see if Talus can discern the school of magic radiating from Dylan's ring of sustenance?

I'm assuming most of the magic he could pick up is stowed away (like the potion and wand), and therefore shielded from the spell, so he'll pass the newcomer as being safe. His opinion of the ring will depend on the result of the spellcraft check.

Improvised Knowledges

I would like to make a Bardic Knowledge check to identify Aelistae's brooch as a symbol of Eilistraee, in all hopes that I spelled that right.
