So like I was sayin'...

... i figger that now I'm up we oughta be thinkin' right hard about puttin' this rock in our wake an' makin' fer greener - and by that, puhn yoh, I mean less purple - pastures! Just lemme grab a bite o' this grub as the Doc's laid out an' hey... whiskey... the good kind... and then we's goin'...

*blinkblinkblink* Hey! Nekkid schoolmarm! Uh.... uh.... what was I just sayin'?

hehehe

I figure Sam's feelin' pretty lucky all of the sudden.... why's it makin' Sam's player just a hint twitchy, though, I wonder? Well... if ya gotta go... I don't reckon there's a better way.

better than a port lock on the ship

Of course, with a Bounty hunter parked next to your ship, you can't really take off fast without arousing suspicions that perhaps you are harbouring fugitives. Best to not be hasty....

I'm having such fun with this campaign.

I second that emotion!

Even though I, as a player, just know that bumpin' uglies with Miss Brigit is gonna lead to more trouble for him, I just can't have Sam even think about walking away from the opportunity... Just wouldn't be Sam, now, would it?

Love this game and all the twists and turns and back and forth it's laid out... can't wait to see where it all ends up going... and the where it'll go after that...

Bills bills bills

Rocinante is at half tank on fuel. To fill up here will cost you 1000 credits as the hydrogen is part of the elements restricted by the embargo, so gas is steep.

You are behind on two regular (quarterly) maintenances on the ship. That will cost you 960 credits if you wish to catch up here - but that will take at least two days. To do what must be done only - cut it in half. Or you keep flying on love and prayer.

The mule needs fixing, which will run you around 20-30 credits.

Port fees will be 50 credits total, and that includes a septic flush, fresh water top up and the likes. If you like to scrub and disinfect the tanks first (which you haven't done in 6 months and it is suppose to be monthly) that will be another 50 credits and a day.

So you got paid 1000 credits, and the banker gave you another 500. To do the whole shebang will cost you 2085 credits. This is why you chose the glorious life of a tramp freighter? The profits!

If i were a mean GM

Imagine if the Doctor handed you a bill as well. Or the band sought out an advocate to bound you by law to pay for their destroyed instruments, and forcing you to pay their legal bills.

Hey, wait a minute.... That last one was a good idea! Let me just scribble that one in...

The hydrogen is way high. You might be better off running on to the next planet to fill up. You'll be close to empty but the cost will be much lower.

Nobody let me talk anymore...

...every time I open my yap, the GM comes up with some other run of bad luck to throw our way...

Why oh why didn't I give Sam a "mute" complication?

holster your weapon

"Sam grinned, his eyes devouring her as he reholstered the Avenger"

You weren't planning on getting "nasty" with the gun belt on were you? Accidents could happen....

LOL

No, actually, I wasn't... just didn't get around to the scene where the gunbelt came off.

Ummm... knowing Sam, though - and especially given the info Wyatt passed on earlier - even after the gunbelt comes off he's not gonna let it be too far out of reach if he can help it...*snort* yeah... right... like he's gonna think about where that pistol is when he's got nekkid Brigit right there... Who am I trying to kid?

Poor sod

So, um...Sam's going on a trip? I'm a little confused as to the means of transportation he's takin'. Is it a rocket? A train? And then there's the posting 'bout Miss Brigit gettin' frisky with him. This just doesn't add up. Is she on the train, or rocket? What about them fireworks? Wyatt'd surely see those as he's making his way back to the ship, right?

Gorram bills. OK, so I'll have to think on how to distribute the funds and keep Ol' Roc in the air. I likely won't post before Sunday though. Got a lot going on this week.

Math not my strong suit

But our profit for this trip appears to be in negative numbers....maybe Willow needs to find a client on this dustball?

Ummm...

Only one post so far so I think this weekend will be a wash for posting to the game. I know Blammm is occupied and Lance is busy until after the weekend. Cathy is crazy with work and child. Tann has school, and so on.

Wonder any of us manage to post actually!!!!

We also will need to look at how to get YeOlde's character into the game. With a crew as twitchy as this one, we need a connection of sorts. Vanadia has suggested he could be a friend of her family.

Yup! Sorry.

I may still be able to post before Sunday. In either case, Wyatt will likely pull a "Family Meeting" together once expenses are figured. With everyone owning a piece of Roc, he'll be expectin' feedback on priority spendin' 'fore makin' the decision on how to spend.

As far as YeOlde's character is concerned, he could realistically be a friend, or trusted acquaitance of any of the long-standing crew and be accepted so long as he's willing to contribute in a similar fashion as the current crew. I don't think Wyatt would allow someone to sign on for straight pay right now, all things considered. he could be family...barring being Willow's, he could be Eden's brother (Wyatt's dead wife). Just another option.
