Rogers out with a shoulder injury. I can't see the Pcckers winning this one behind Seneca Wallace... which means I'll finish 6-6 for the week.

Also, an official welcome to Brundel, who will now be playing the role of rogue.

This goes for anybody.
What I need right now are name, a brief physical description, a brief description of personality, basic gear (i.e. sword and board warrior with heavy armor, staff carrying mage that wears blue robes, archer in leather that carries a longbow and wears a knife).
After that, a little background would be nice - why are you adventuring? Where did you come from? Do you have any particular goals?
All the stat stuff can wait a little longer.

Folks, I want to get posting on the game itself. If we can get fully finalized concepts to me, I can always help flesh out the character sheets.

That may be the stupidest weekend of NFL football I have seen in some time.
Darn it, Jets... who are you? Good, bad, mediocre... I can live with any of the above. Looking like you can't beat an arena team one week, then like nobody can beat you the next, is MADDENING.

It's official, Salvator Navaar is going to sit this one out due to access issues. I'll be bringing in a standby player to play our rogue.

I turned to Google for this... and then, I felt like a ninny.
There is, of course, the old Boy Scout method of twirling a stick in the hollow of another piece of wood, and thus create fire with friction.
There is also the fact that, with the correct rocks and the proper angle, you can strike sparks - and thus, start fire.
There are probably other methods, as well.
All that being said, your character will definitely need to spend a nonweapon proficiency slot on fire building.

No worries, Duncan.
Okay, guys... a small intro post is up, and the Q&A is started. The official name of this game will be "What Evil Hides in the Hearts of Men".
First joke about "what about women/sylvari/other races" gets 1 point of permanent CON damage.

Topic: What Evil Hides in the Hearts of Men - Q&A Subject: What Evil Hides in the Hearts of Men - Q&A
This will the be Q&A thread for my 2e D&D game, "What Evil Hides in the Hearts of Men". This goes along with the "Brave Souls? (2e D&D)" recruitment thread.
First entry in this thread has to do with equipment and starting funds.
The various party members are all third level when the adventure opens. As such, you have been adventuring for a minimum of a few months, likely longer.
Gear wise, you should be well equipped. You should have a primary and secondary weapon (if you carry one), as well as an emergency knife or the like (again, if you carry one).
Armor wise, anything up to banded mail is fine. If your character carries a shield, you should have one. If you use any sort of missile weapon, you should own a good supply of ammunition.
Spellcasters, get with me and I will provide your spell list. Assume that you own enough common components to cast any spell up to ten times. If your list includes a spell with a costly material item, you'll need to check with me. For instance, as a cleric you might possess the ability to cast "augury", but the spell requires a set of jeweled sticks, dragon bones, or similarly very expensive items that are beyond the means of the party at this time.
Cash wise, I will roll this for you and let you know your personal total. You'll probably have anywhere from 50-200 silver coins on hand. Remember that currency across Antaron is based on silver, not gold, so PHB pricing does not really apply. These totals will indicate that your character is not, say, in any danger of starving; you can pick up almost any piece of normal equipment that you might need... but neither are you rich. Big ticket items (such as armor) might be out of your immediate reach.
More to come.

Topic: What Evil Hides in the Hearts of Men... Subject: What Evil Hides in the Hearts of Men...
The Dark One shifted ever so slightly on his throne of skulls. Something unexpected had caught his gaze, causing him to stare deeply into the scrying mists.
His attention piqued, he considered this unexpected development. Slowly, his normally baleful expression morphed into a terrifying rictus of a smile.
This situation was promising. More then promising, in fact... it opened all sorts of delicious possibilities.
One of the Eyeless Ones gestured, wondering if it should inform Her of this new discovery. For the slightest of moments, the Dark One pondered, but shook his head, causing the Eyeless One to melt into the shadows.
No, there was no point in informing Her yet. Furthermore, if things worked out to their full potential... well, the possibilities were very interesting, indeed...

Don't worry. Female quotient is now there. Stick with your original idea, and leave the female roles to the females.

Topic: Need stout hearted players (2e D&D) Subject: ...and that does it!
Our esteemed Eol Fefalas has decided to fill the role of the mage, so unless I have a drop, I now have the max number of players that I was hoping for.
I know that we need to get concepts polished up, get sheets made, etc... but I'm probably going to set up the Q&A thread, and may even make an intro post pretty shortly.
