Topic: RDI stats Subject: RDI stats
These are according to Google analytics for the period of the past month (September 23 - October 23).
11,082 visits, resulting in 72,635 page views, from 4,081 unique visitors. Of these visits, 7,265 were from returning visitors.
Most days see 200 (or a few more) unique visitors to the Inn.
The most common visitor (as with most websites) visited only once (34% of the time). However, we have incredible loyalty - the second most common percentage was from people who visited 201 or more times (27% of the time).
90% of visitors hit the site more than once per day.
4% more visit daily.
another 1% visit no more than two days apart.
Most of our users have fast internet (less than 5% on dialup).
Our #1 traffic source is direct links (bookmarks, typing in the address, etc) - 50.48% of visits.
Google is #2, with 29%.
Yahoo is a distant third, with just under 5%.
The most used pages (aside from the front page and the main page of the forums,) are the dice roller (5219 page views) and the town generator (3997 page views). Gee, sounds like I should create more tools!
Anyway, I thought these might be interesting to some Innmates.

Topic: The Guiding Light Subject: attack!
13th Pfier (Valday), 452 E.R.
Pirate camp on the beach
Tal'Anor bristles, his body language screaming a desire to attack these villains, but he mutters deference to the bladesinger. "Aye, cousin," he speaks. "Your plan is wise."
The scent of rose petals wafts into the night breeze as Valendra crumples them in time with her soft chanting. As soon as she beings, Varuna begins muttering his own spell, praying to Lysora to bend the wood of the tower pirate's bolts.
At first, there seems to be no effect. The blonde paladin takes a step forward, intent on charging the pirates, when suddenly, one slumps to the ground.
Then another. Soon, all on the ground but the lone guard are fast asleep. Due to his position (and the fact that he is at least somewhat inebriated), the sentry does not immediately notice that his fellows have fallen silent.
Tal'Anor is on him in a moment, blade pressed to his throat. "Move and die, scum," Oriana's servant hisses. Drunken eyes widen at the blade, and the man opens his hands slowly, to show that he indeed surrenders.
In less than a minute, all waking occupants of the pirate camp (save the sentry on the tower, who still has yet to act is if he has any idea as to what is going on) have been subdued.

...that is merely a snapshot of what was happening at the time when Google dropped by. There is no way to know who was in chat, nor is there a way to interact with the old Inn.
You may browse the archived stuff, that's all.

Just wow. I feel flattered, and also...
just wow.
"DM Song" was much more in my range. I had to key "You're Gruesome" down a bit to have any chance (though I can hit the notes falsetto with my earbuds in, the tone quality is just rotten. No need to subject you all to that).
I just enjoy doing 'em, so I'm requested more off of Al (the truly talented one, here). I'd also love to hear others chime in with their own tunes!

A lot.
We'd need minions to get busy.

Mostly,it was a looping stream. They had occasional live events, but usually, just playlists.
They'd add a few new items every week, though. Was so very cool.

Roger and I mentioned that possibility in chat. I dearly miss RPG Radio, too. I wore my RPG Radio tshirt until it wore out.
It's a possibility, but the thing is, to keep interest, we'd need new content at steady intervals. That seems like a tall order.

Topic: Entertainment for geeks Subject: okay, done
Changed the player to one that plays nicely with Firefox. Also added a download link so that you can own your very own copy, if you so desire.
Added the same to "The DM Song" and "The Die is Cast".
