Bad plan.

A tripwire... well, trips! sending Yuphart'd stumbling and letting the trapdoor open.

A boulder drops to the floor and begins to roll towards the three adventurers.

Uh oh.

It's the latter. The guy from the RRR. I suspected the link between ribbons would be self-evident but obviously not

It is indeed the RRR man offering cash for the death of the councillors.

When people train together a long time, they realise that they can communicate without speaking, with mere looks.
When people spend years training in combat and special operations, they realise that they can see through disguises and plans.

Unfortunately for some, Smythian Knights train together for a minimum of ten years.

Around the nurses stood the five heroes, all in various positions of combat readiness.
All six knights drew their weapons in one single movement, and pulled together instantly, before -

"Iu."

A voice on the roof to their right had spoken.
It was a cloaked figure, the same as before, wearing the red ribbon. The knights stood, readied.
"We meet again, mercenaries. You will find the councillor in his manor, I think. A friend of mine is planning on paying him a visit this week..."

The disembodied voice showed no vocal signs of having heard Yuphart'd's reply.

Suddenly, Muhammed disappeared, simply, leaving no trace.

The same, bland voice, rang out "dvoloshin has taken leave. Difficulty remains level 70. Entering..."

With a flash of white light, and a sound that could only be described as "Slorp!" two figures appeared in the room, almost in the exact same spot where Muhammed stood.

Grrrreetinks!

:-/

Two exams left. I have very bizarre feelings, because I finished this morning's Economics and Sociology after only two hours, when a REGULAR human being uses all four hours given and needs more time. Really really good people take about minimum 3 hours.

And I wrote 10 pages, compared to the 7 average.

What the hell is going wrong with me???

Anyways, only maths and Spanish left. Soon I'm gonna be mega mega super active.

Was the Crimelord in the saloon at any time that day before the cowboys entered?
- No.

Did the cowboys recognize the barkeep?
- Yes, he's the regular barkeep. They don't know him enough to be friends or anything, they simply recognise him.

Sorry. Imma working on it.

EDIT:

The situation:

Thomas, DHarem, Varis, Bon and Walker were grouped up, ready to approach.

Bon slipped in front of the group of "nurses" to delay them, and started trash talking. Now, it seems that Walker is approaching in just the same manner: relaxed and harmless-looking.

Were the ice cubes poisoned?
- Yes.

After that half hour, did the ice cubes fully melt in the second cowboy's drink?
- Yes.

((I gave too much of a hint towards the ice cubes. Whoops. I DID say I was starting easy.))

Was anything they consumed poisonous in some manner?
- Needs to be rephrased.

Were the ice cubes in the bourbon composed of anything besides an average mix of water and minerals in a usual ice cube?
- Yes.

Do the two cowboys know that each other is an enemy with the crimelord?
- No, but that's unimportant.

Are either cowboy aware that the crimelord is in Normalville?
- Yes. They're just too thirsty to wait until the next town.

Is the crimelord in some manner responsible for the death?
- Yes.

Is the cowboy that left first dead or injured in some manner?
- Yes: he got into a fight with some bandits a few days later and got a bullet or two to the head. But for the intents of this situation, no

Is one cowboy responsible for the other's death?
- No.

Moments later, Bon stuck his head back in the main doors, and gave a signal.

They all arrived before the Clinic, and could clearly see the six "nurses" prepare to take a right turn into a small alleyway. They stopped, though, for some unknown reason.
The more perceptive of the five heard the slight "shup" of a sword leaving a leather sheath, and saw one of the nurses get into a combat stance, threatening someone.

Bon was no longer beside them, however. He was the one being threatened.
"I don't think you want to try that, dear friends."

DHarem and Thomas glanced at Varis, ready for orders in the new situation.

Are there any visible marks or signs that would lead to a cause of Death?
- Nothing at all.

Was the burbon poisoned,(beyond the fact that Alcohol is poison in itself)?
- The bourbon? Not poisoned.

Was the music and sounds of people loud enough to cover the sound of a gunshot?
- Yes.

Is Normalville located in the desert?
- Yes. Which is why the two cowboys needed a drink.

Is there a sniper involved with the second cowboy's death?
- No.

One of the easier, less bizarre ones I know. I'm adding extra details to make it a little harder.

----------------------------------------

Two cowboys enter the saloon, in the small town of Normalville, where they happen to have a common enemy, the local crimelord. They both arrive at the bar, and each ask for a bourbon.

They are each served a fine bourbon in a small tumbler, ice cubes, condensation dripping down the outside.

In the saloon are various people, scattered around tables, of all sorts. A piano sits in the corner.

One of the cowboys downs his bourbon, then pays and leaves, setting out into the desert.
After about half an hour, someone begins playing the piano, and some people get up and dance. The second cowboy downs his bourbon, the music getting on his nerves. Between the bar and the exit, he drops dead almost instantly.

What happened?

Here's an interesting game that will require a little dusting off of the brain cells.

I am going to post a simple scenario. YOU have to guess the what, how, why, etc of it.

You can ask any questions imaginable, but I can only answer with the following:
- Yes, < insert question reiteration here. >
- No, < insert negative question reiteration here. >
- Not important. (basically, you're on the wrong track. Your question and its answer are of no consequence to the problem.)
- Rephrase that. (some questions need rephrasing, or are answerable using loopholes, which will get you on the wrong track. Make sure it's got no loopholes.)

Ask as many questions as you wish, prepare for all eventualities.
First one to send a PM with the correct scenario wins... something or other.

"Friend, what was it about those ribbons?"

DHarem frowned as he remembered.
When had they seen it?

A man stepped up and tapped his shoulder. A swift armbar and he was immobilised. Cloaked, with the small red bow attached to the collar area.
Eleven thousand electrum he had offered. Refused. Get out.
Red bow attached to collar.

He opened his mouth and -

"The stranger who wanted to employ us to kill the councillors. The RRR," Bon said for him in a monotonous voice.

DHarem's moth wavered, "I think we have a more important task than buying a drink."

I find it interesting, the icy development of Jhim. Would the previous adventure have given him an idea for a "speciality"?
