*pokes Celtia* up to you now. I'll let you deal with the bank as you wish while I come up with Bon's info and Thomas' adventures.

Subject: The Bank

It was a regular building, nothing setting it apart from any others. This was why the Caese family had always used this particular bank, because it was invisible to most.
No sign showed it as a bank. Reputation and word of mouth alone drew new, rich customers.

But the interior was naturally well kitted out. The entrance hall was a regular atrium, with a fountain in the centre and several desks scattered around with small queues.

Varis recognised a doorway directly ahead, which led to the main vaults, and remembered the secret door just beyond that which led to the deeper vaults.

It didn't take long waiting for him to get to the front of a queue, and was led down to his vault box, down a corridor and several rooms along, was a small cubic room with many vault drawers around. The clerk turned his key in the first slot on the front, and invited Varis to do the same in the second.

For the record, if the GM dictates nothing, then go ahead with whatever crazy stuff you wish.

I'll retroedit your electrum stocks to redistribute it, again. ^^ I'd given it all back to Varis.

I shall leave this to you, again ^^

Karrain and DHarem are about at 3.5 strikes, whereas Varis is still at 2.5, so Celtia is gonna have to do the work next I guess.

It didn't take long for the crowds to begin cheering and bashing their tables with the beat, with many singing along, mostly with terrible singing.

But the song had its effect, and the barkeep winked at Varis as he performed, in a sort of understanding manner: he knew exactly what was going on, but was nonetheless loving it. It wasn't long until the barkeep averted his gaze to other patrons while whistling.

2) Now don't push it ^^

EDIT: nice. Sorry for the short post but it'll have to do, ain't got much time.

Now, you see, that's the perfect example of Bonus XP awarded for awesomesauce. Check it out ^^

Just a little nudge: don't want to make this seem like railroading, but hurrying a little wouldn't hurt, as you have two strikes-worth of time before the rendezvous. Well, closer to one and a half.

I still ain't gonna post, as I'm sorta superfluous.

On a side note, due to XP gained retroactively (forgot to add it on) and just now, all three of you have hit Level 3.
PM me: you get +1 to one Attribute and can come up with another Skill (subject again to ME!)

Subject: Bon and Thomas' Zany Adventures... or not.

The coins had been picked up, one by one, and with little loss considering the force of the explosion.

Bon shoved them all back into Varis' sack and frowned, "The clock struck two. This square won't scout itself."
And with no further ado, he slipped out of the tavern.

Thomas, however, still remained silent and grumpy, and sat down at the table again, scowling at anyone who happened to look his way. After many scowls, people began to simply look away. After all, the apparition of an out-of-this-world mage in a tavern was out of the ordinary, but far from impossible in the strange world they lived it.

Andrew nodded in no particular direction in a sort of thanking... ritual? before tucking into the food with joy.

He didn't speak much after, only checking occasionally to see how the others were, before heading straight up to his room. He wasn't renowned as an early riser.

I can't think of any useful contribution on my behalf for now, any post wouldn't really improve the thread. I'm leaving it to you for now xD

EDIT: Meh, I'm gonna do a post anyway.

You'll struggle to find Ethronan mead in particular, but mead is easily available ^^

Made from the sap of the Botree... so it's kinda Maple Syrup Mead

I'm gonna leave the introductions to you all. This is something I can't do ^^

I've counted the cash off Varis's money, most of it will be easy to pick up but getting every single coin will be impossible. I suspect that out of the 2400 on the table, about 2000 will be easy to pick up, and a further 250 harder to find, with 150 lost.

Yeah, that's pretty arbitrary. But hey ^^

So from what I get from the plans:
Bon is going to scout out the square. (good plan, by the way.)
Thomas is going to do... what Thomas does. Uh oh.

Andrew shrugged, "I'm not here for the treasure, myself, so as long as you don't try any of that stuff our friend here is thinking, I'm fine with that."

He showed no sign of having noticed the horns. But he had, and knew that there was no point in just seeking confrontation. Everyone had a right to be, and anyone he had trusted so far could probably be trusted 'til the end.

Up to time to see if he was wrong or right.

BONG! BONG!

The bell struck two. Little had the companions noticed but more and more people began to trickle in, all ordering food.
Lunchtime, it seemed.

As they had only just finished eating, it was clear they wouldn't need to order any food. Only two strikes before they needed to leave and get to the main square in town.

Subject: Metagame Note

Just a little highly OOC note: No more important plot-related stuff is gonna happen until the clock strikes 4 and you need to be at the Knowledge Festival.

So it's time to perhaps seek out a little stuff:
(yes, this IS a CTRL-C of PMs I sent a while back)

Seeing as Varis and DHarem know Tithuana quite well, they know that in the immediate area there are one smithy, one weaponsmith, an alchemist's shop, and a general adventuring gear shop, along with the general bakers, etc necessary in a city.

DHarem also knows he can visit the Monastery at any time to pick up his monthly allotment of field gear (medical kits, healing potions, other stuff) if he wants. He hasn't taken this month's allotment.

Varis knows he has a strongbox in the local bank where he can get out some stuff he left there for a rainy day, including a few healing potions (1d10) and two or three burning oil vials (firebombs), along with some other gear for such ventures, and some personal stuff.

In the central part of the city can be found a similar set-up, but universally more expensive, and with a couple of extra things, such as an art and furniture shop, and a Mage's tower. (*nudge nudge*, who might be able to help with the small "no-magic" pebble.)

I apologise for the mulitplication of the "propositions," it had just occurred to me that, well, three plot-related offers in such a short period of time? Sounds like a milkable joke to me! ^^

... I have a bizarre sense of humour.

“How may we help you?”

The obviously drunk man responded, looking at Varis with a cheesy grin, "D'yu wanna be my girlfwend?"
He exploded in laughter, as did his dozen companions at their table. Three of them all gave various signs of having lost bets, and much electrum was exchanged.

The drunkard took a swig of the ale in his right hand and chuckled the chuckle of the ignorant.

"Hah, I'm no stranger to good fortune...but what the hell. Throw each of my companions one."

The young conman wasn't stupid, and he could tell that Varis saw right through him. It was in the eyes.

"Thank you sirs! Have a good day, and good luck!" and with that, he left, having handed his sticks to DHarem, Bon and Thomas.

But as he left the group a man stolled over from another table, arriving before Varis, and leaning on their table.
Slurring, he began, "I havs a proposushun for ya..."

"Excuse me," a young, brown-haired man with a big bag slung around his front, "I have an important business propostion for you."

Without waiting for an answer, he continued, "I have the world-famous Luck Sticks! Fifteen El' apiece, guaranteed to bring the greatest luck ever when snapped! My stocks are limited, so buy as many as you can, and tell your friends!"

To further prove his point, he pulled a Burnwood stick from the bag and waved it around. A very ordinary Burnwood stick. That didn't seem at all special. Then again, anything could happen...

“I suggest you leave now."

"So be it," replied the cloaked man, "The proposition is now off the table. Beware of your next acts, for the RRR is named Red for a reason. Do not get in our way."

He stood up, picking the small pouch back up and pulling it under his cloak, "Blood is Red, remember that."

A couple of strides and he was gone, out through the door.

Subject: Your bonuses

The +2 DR is a generic damage reduction that's ON TOP of the Damage Reduction on your armour.
The +2 innate antimagic bonus does stack, yes, giving a total of +4 to any defensive magic-related roll. Nice, eh?

Thinking about armour, the four numbers: HP is obvious, the amount of hits the armour can take before being destroyed (can be repaired BEFORE it hits 0).
S, B and P are respectively Slashing, Bashing and Piercing. The numbers refer to damage reduction.

For example, someone with 50/50HP and 2P-DR armour, with 2 innate DR: when hit by an arrow for what would be 10 damage, the person only receives 6, as 4 were absorbed by the armour and innate DR.
The armour, of course, will drop from 50/50HP to 49/50. The person could then go ask a blacksmith to smash it up to tip-top shape ^^

Subject: Quick explanation

Might need explaining later: antimagic and nomagic.

Antimagic bonuses add to any roll involving defending against magic. Got a +2 antimagic ring: need to jump out of the way of a magically affected boulder? +2 to it. Trying to resist a sorceror trying to get into your mind? +2. No help against magical weapons though, unless they have an effect such as paralysis or whatever. A magical sword's stunning effect you may get a +2, but the +3 to hit still gets ya!

Nomagic is simple: no magic things work. Be it people or items, nope! With the exception of some items which are purposefully designed to work in those situations, but they're rare and not guaranteed to work.

An example your characters are probably familiar with is the Wand of Force. Normally, when activated, it blasts out a "wind" in the direction it's pointed at. In a nomagic zone it works half the time, but that's still a half more than most items.
