Subject: Good idea

Sorry to perhaps disappoint by not playing, but I took a good look at these sentences:

We have run this campaign before with our table top group. We want to see how it goes with other people so we can be more in depth and see how other players handle similar situations. We’ll ask the same from you we did of them.

It's a brilliant idea and thing to do. I won't deny having tried a game of mine on a different forum, but nowhere really has the life that the Inn does, so that was an instant failure

I'll be interested in seeing how this game goes. I shall play the Eol here and lurk around ^^

Subject: No, it's not.

It remains the same day if you don't sleep. Honest.

Well, even if it doesn't work by convention, it sort of makes sense that days be based around sleep patterns and not around arbitrary calendars. Who does anything really useful or interesting between midnight and 6 AM anyways?

(apart from people who work night shifts)

Anyways, hello to the Red Dragon Inn. I am sat in my student flat, listening to third wave ska and eating a Spanish-inspired breakfast... three cloves of raw garlic pounded with olive oil and chilli on toast.

All it needs to be the greatest breakfast ever is bacon. ^^

First two days at Uni have come and gone. Their love of bureaucracy in the administration is ridiculous!
During the Fresher's week information "gatherings", they explain things like what the course is (which we already know, BECAUSE WE SIGNED UP FOR IT) and expect us to know how to sign up for optional subjects (which, incidentally, requires going from building H to building G, via A, B and E, before they all send you back to H so that they can say that YOU'RE IN THE WRONG PLACE AGAIN!)

It's like teaching your grandma to suck eggs, and then asking her to name and characterise the six quarks.

AAAAAAAAAAAARGH

Subject: Strange Thoughts

((I really don't know where the idea popped from. Call it insanity ^^))

Recently, here at RPNews.tv we decided to conduct a series of interviews within online roleplaying communities. Today's interview, conducted by our reporter John Telford, is of a member of the Red Dragon Inn, living by the pseudonym "Darren."

J- Is that camera working? Ok, hello every-
D- I have the right to refuse this footage being used.
J- You do indeed, ok, cut the camera. Hello everyone listening at RPNews.com, this is John Telford currently inside the Red Dragon Inn for an exclusive interview with a member of this community.
So Darren, how long have... that cat is staring at me.
D- Cats have eyes. They look at things, including you.
J- True, too true. How long have you been here at the Inn?
D- Not too long, I guess, only six or so months.
J- Interesting. So what...
D- ...
J- ...
D- Are you alright?
J- The cat just grinned at me.
D- Er...
J- Nevermind. So I've heard that the "Innmates", as you call them, aren't... let's say, totally sane. Are these rumours correct?
D- Well, the thing is that-
(CRASH)
D- Dude, you just fell off your chair! You ok??
J- The cat just disappeared! Evaporated! Into thin air!
D- Have you been smoking wacky baccy?
J- This is John Telford, to all listeners at RPNews.com, interview to be continued tomorrow.
(DOOR SLAM)
D- Er, bye.

LATER ON DRAGONCHAT:

Chessicfayth: I think he lost the plot.
Darren: xD
Chessicfayth: Chessic 1, Reporter 0.
Darren: heh, nicely done.

JOHN TELFORD'S DREAM DIARY

Nightmare, saw cat staring into my soul, grinning, then disappearing, repeatedly. According to Freud analysis, trauma? Shock? Just processing the day?

For the roleplay to work correctly, I've sent instructions to gboy as to what comes next. ^^

So his post is the next event of importance.

Probably should, I'm just getting bogged down in wedding and plot advancement.

If you want to RP it, go ahead, but for the mo I'm struggling.

[In the throne room...]

"...Leon. Direct me to the youth known as Leon who stood in your hall, and I assure you he will survive his journey."

The king sighed as the situation began to escape his control. Not that it was in his control anyway, but it was becoming insanity.
"I regret to say he left a while back, saying he was heading to his house. Wherever that may be, I do not know."

------------
[In the mage tower]

The paper Arathyra now had in her hand - well, the papers, as it was a thick, bound wad - was labelled "Diary" in the simple block script of Alan Morind, the mage. A characteristic handwriting, as he firmly believed in simplicity: if something takes hours to write in a flowing script, and is barely readable, what's the point?

The mess in the room was amazing, but Alan had been an organised man. It looks messy, but it was all organised chaos, in such a way that no-one who didn't know him could understand the system. But there was nonetheless a system behind the pigsty of a chamber's organisation.

Sorry for my absence of late, real life comes by from time to time.

Such as my best friend saying, "dude, I've just proposed to my girlfriend, you wanna be best man?"

... needless to say, I'm the one organising all this. *sigh*

So I may be still AWOL in the few days to come.

Bon courage, you'll both need it.

No worries on The Last Blade, I can always NPC Arathyra for the time being.

The king shouted out quickly at Sariana's request, "Bring water!"
A jug of water was soon to arrive for the dehydrated man, brought by a young servant.

"I have no solutions. I only ask that we now try our hardest," the king began, standing up from his throne, and walking deliberately towards Bren, "You are the greatest people here, and I know that you are far capable than I."
He took off his crown and threw it to the far corner of the room.
"Do you truly think it's easy, to sit here, watching my people die, as I am forced by convention to eat my fill? A king is the centre of the people, no matter what he may wish. I am incapable of doing anything for our future, which is why I humbly ask your help."

-------------------------

As Arathyra set off walking towards her mentor's chambers, and as Xavier followed, a servant of the king surprised her.
"His majesty asks if I may be of assistance, ma'am."
The young servant seemed slightly timid and shy, but nonetheless happy to serve.

Tuned_Out, you mention text length. I pay for included-texts, so end up typing them out in full

I hate texting language, and even shortened versions of words when copying lessons. I use my other languages to shorten, IE "Demain" to replace "Tomorrow".

I'm naming this thread so I can reuse it to save clutter.

Just a proper thread to tell all people in Orb of Cleft, Footprints and The Last Blade that I've got a lot of work at the mo and am struggling to get time to work on GMing. I'll be back soonish, I'm just not in very good mental state.

(Physical work lets you think of ideas but burns too much energy for you to use the ideas later :s)

Sorry.

EDIT

Gboy: nice. but the king states correctly. One of the main problems in the world is that the summers are hot and the winters cold, and as there is almost nothing left to burn this winter... It is indeed winter.
