Ugh! you're killin' me Grugg! I am gonna have to be more careful with my next actions.

Oh, and that 1d6 damage, doesn't require that they 'hit' because they're already on him (if I'm reading this MM correctly) Swarm is 1d6 damage, irrelevant of success of poison/distraction attacks.

Spiff didn't get it. He wasn't being rude. He wasn't being less than forthcoming. He was even complimenting the jackass. Still, the kid wouldn't get over himself.

"I told you you're in charge." He said, taking a sip of his drink. "Do you not feel like that's the case here?"

Yet again, he stretched his legs out, and balanced his chair on it's hind legs as he sat at the only seat facing the wall, rather than with his back to it.

The ogre attacked again, clutching his foe tighter as he slammed him hard into the ground. Still, Jiminous wasn't done either. He had pulled a component from his pouch, and was now casting again. "Slither sSinsd ArachnisssssssSSSt Kissssss"

As he said it, it was clear he was summoning again. The man grappling with the ogre was suddenly covered in dozens of tiny spiders biting at him and crawling all over him. Then, Jiminous himself stepped toward the man, easily within striking distance, though his grapple with the ogre made that impossible to do.

The man had been reckless to select a target so openly. Jiminous felt the need to show him up. He approached the man angrily, and as he did, he gestured mockingly at the man and adjusted his grip on his halberd.

Rapid Shot:

You get one extra attack per round with a ranged weapon. The attack is at your highest base attack bonus, but each attack you make in that round (the extra one and the normal ones) takes a -2 penalty. You must use the full attack action (page 143) to use this feat.

In other words, a BAB +6 would get you attack 1 at 6+Dex+Mods-2, Attack 2 at 1+Dex+Mods-2, and attack 3 at 6+Dex+Mods-2. With Haste/Speed on the bow, you would get another attack at 6+Dex+Mods-2, a 4th attack.

Alternatively

Manyshot:

As a standard action, you may fire two arrows at a single opponent within 30 feet. Both arrows use the same attack roll (with a -4 penalty) to determine success and deal damage normally (but see Special).
For every 5 points of base attack bonus above +6, you may add one additional arrow to this attack, to a maximum of four arrows at a base attack bonus of +16. However, each arrow after the second adds a cumulative 2 penalty on the attack roll (for a penalty of -6 for three arrows and -8 for four).
Damage reduction and other resistances apply separately against each arrow fired.
Special: Regardless of the number of arrows you fire, you apply precision-based damage (such as sneak attack damage) only once. If you score a critical hit, only the first arrow fired deals critical damage. All others deal regular damage.

This, of course, is automatic for a 6th level ranger with archery style. What's cool about this is, as you can see, you can fire as many arrows as a full-attack action without wasting a full-attack. You can take your move and free actions, and still fire full-attack worth of arrows. This becomes even more useful when combined with the "shot on the run" feat. If you were using this feat (instead of rapid shot) the two arrows would have hit as they did, which I think is what Grugg may have thought. If you combined this feat with a bow with Haste/Speed, you would get 2 shots, plus the extra free shot at full attack bonus.

EDIT: Didn't realize this was a duplicate, great minds think alike I guess.

2 shots hit, according to the post. And rapid shot doesn't stack with many shot. Rapid shot is a full-round action, therefore you can't add a Standard action (many shot) to it. If you have a BAB above +5 (I assume you do) you should be getting 3 attacks per round though, so there may be that error. Did you perchance enhance your bow with Speed/Haste? That would give you a 4th shot and all at +1s. I've played archers before, they're fun

Subject: She SOO should have killed them

She was flustered, but smirked when they dragged Pio along for the 'ride'. She was, however, somewhat surprised when nothing happened. She wasn't even brought to the council chambers, where she really needed to be. Surely killing someone is worthy of the council's attention. Still, it was typical reprimands and she let them off with a warning.

They were pushed back out, only to run into the rest of the family. She kept a distance between herself and Pio and approached the others. "Sorry guys," she spoke soft and low, "I didn't mean to slow things down." Then she saw Beinsel and rushed over to giver him a hug. She whispered in his ear as she hugged him, "Thank you SO much."

She stepped back and resolved to play a lesser role for the moment. Perhaps she was still flustered at the idea of that kid being it. It just didn't make sense to her. Still, she was deep in thought, following the group blindly through the council building.

"Chill Croaker! Slow up a bit." Spiff wanted to swat him upside the head, but he had to honor Jack's request. "You're dead on target, but you're getting ahead of yourself. We've got time now. You're more than welcome to improvise later when needed, but we've got time right now. Let's not rush this. We need to get the details ironed out while we have time. Back-up plans are essential right now. Let's back up."

He paused and turned to Peacekeeper. "Now, my hope was that you could use a gun like that. If no one can, we can toss that out the window. Either way," he turned back to Croaker, "I can't get all the info you need if I'm busy working on getting you a vehicle that'll survive a frontal assault on this place. With or without the gun, that's gonna take a while. That type of research is better left to Jack and, as you wisely observed and I almost missed, Scribe."

"Still, there's more that you're missing here. Preacher is my employee, not yours. Orders to him are going to go through me. He already told you just a moment ago that he's not up to the task of netrunning against a megacorp, and I wouldn't send him right now if he was. It's too risky, and I still need him alive. He can, however, help search for info with Jack and Scribe." Spiff turned to Preacher, "Any other immediate uses you can see for yourself?"

**response irrelevant**

"So let's relax. Flying by the seat of your pants is ideal when we're out there, but right now, we're enjoying a nice meal in a place where we can talk. Let's not rush this."

Subject: Darth Mintous picks a side

He saw a group that was very tight knit enter the temple, to be greeted in the same breath as himself. It was quite the group he had been looking for. He had plenty of time to ponder. After all, Jiminous had been dragged all throughout this temple, surprisingly without an armed escort. Perhaps it was the temple that had turned over the new leaf. They, after all, had asked for his help. He gladly took a seat next to these adventurers. They were, he could tell with near certainty at this point, just the group he had been looking for. The more rag-tag the better. He was just mulling over the proper manner in which to befriend them when there was a shriek throughout the temple.

((skipping that part for your benefit))

A dark figure had struck down a priest before him. Normally, such would be none of his business. Still, he was now under the employ of the temple, and he also had to prove his friendship to these adventurers. so he stood, facing the dark figure. He needn't do more. His fingers did the work, though his voice became dark and almost whispering. It was far too loud to be a whisper, but it was quiet, much like a snake, but a snake the size of an army. "Ssilst Mi CarmiSssssst Malinsssssssssst Sien Kaitisck" The words were spoken with a stare at the man, but Jiminous wasn't looking at him, he was looking through him, and his party could see why.

Well...yeah, I guess you could call it that...an Ogre appeared behind the man in the doorway. It wasn't a usual Ogre though. Its clothes were tattered. Its skin was pale. It's eyes were sockets in it's ragged flesh. Still, it was some sort of Ogre. It wasn't standing there, it was reaching, grasping at the man in front of it as it faded into existence. ((+14 grapple Grugg, Holy crap Sui - Grugg)) Jiminous spoke again, this time in common, but his voice hadn't changed. Perhaps it was just that he was still coming out of spell mindsets, or perhaps it was something more sinister. Still, he spoke, and it was an awful hiss. "Your mine!" he whispered, extremely loudly, at the man in the doorway.

((You know my actions Grugg, ask if you need more info))

"Dazzle us, Spiff. Please."

Spiff had been rocking in his seat while the others chatted. He had done what had to be done. He had to get Croaker and this MDK fellow's hatred out in the open instead of letting it pop like it had between himself and Croaker. The boy was hot-headed, to be sure, but that was what Spiff had to work with here. When Croaker had started spitting ideas, Spiff had remained quiet, but dug his phone out of his pocket. He was running the numbers on Croaker's idea. The table went quiet for a moment after, but Spiff didn't notice. He was pecking at his phone's keys. The letters weren't worn too badly by now. The phone was a relatively new purchase. He had just upgraded to make his work more efficient.

Then, Scribe had jumped in. It wasn't until his name was said that Spiff raised his head. He looked at the crowd around him, as though he didn't know them. He was startled from his work on the net. He had been looking up Croaker's numbers only briefly, before he had spent most of his time researching something else.

"It seems it's bad luck today. Even if I were that good, we're talking weeks to make that kind of deal on the streets. What's worse, is even if we get it under the radar, something that could take months, the gas purchases alone would bring us up on the scope of even those corps which we don't have on our six. Alternatively, the rental costs of such a thing, plus the bribe to keep it quiet, would be twice the cost of my other idea."

Spiff paused, mostly to let it sink it, but also to zoom in on the picture. He set his phone in the middle of the table. On it was a picture of a high powered custom sniper rifle. "We could buy one of these outright, and with a bit of work make it untraceable. The advantage here, is that even while not looking like a paramilitary organization, we can secure an entrance and exit. What do you think, Croaker?"

"Once you're in uh...ask for Kaene, he'll see you shortly no doubt...um...that's it...uh...hopefully I won't see you around..."

The words echoed in Jiminous's head as he paid his tab. He hadn't drank the alcohol, but felt in necessary to fit the customs of such a rough place. He decided not to argue when the mead was delivered. He didn't know why he was so generous about it, normally he would chuck the liquid into the face of such a waitress. Perhaps he was turning over a new leaf. After all, he had taken the job for a church that looked upon his life choices with disdain. Then again, they were paying very well to complete the task. Perhaps he just wanted to keep his cool until the job was divulged in full.

He dug in his back and pulled out a silver to cover his tab. He thanked the bartender and left. The streets weren't packed with people, but those on the streets seemed to avoid him none-the-less. He knew why, of course, and when one person got too close, only to screech, turn around, and run away, it was quite evident. His ominous appearance was only accentuated by the aura that exuded from his every step. His clothes weren't dark, much, but a heavy dark cloak covered them, not fully obscuring his chain shirt. Of course, it also clinked as he walked. Still, none of this was really looked at by passers-by. His walking stick was what caught there attention. It was a halberd, custom-worked to fit his hands comfortably. The long axe looked disturbingly like those the hooded executioners wore before the chopping block. It was a strange appearance, to be sure.

He approached the church, but passed it, turning off on a side-street, and approaching from a back-alley. He thought it curious that they wished he would approach in this fashion. It wasn't like he would draw any less attention in doing so. He stood out, no matter where he was. He thought less of those who chose not to stand out. He opened the door, and stepped inside.

Subject: CN is NOT Chaotic Stupid!

Percifeer walked calmly to the front, ignoring the catcalls that started coming her way. Well, it wasn't that she was ignoring them, so much as she didn't hear them. She was intent on her destination, and had no desire to listen to any more debate that wasted time. She did, however, hear the cries of the father at the front of the crowd. The boy was in front of the doors, away from the crowd. It didn't make sense...well, it did, and that was the sick part. She pondered it during her brief walk, but her mind wouldn't stop rambling. She thought about pointing to an evil person in the crowd and blaming him, but her lover's voice cut her off It's politics, they're all evil. It had been quite a while since she had discussed it with him, and the relationship was more broken than the love of a princess and a toad, but the thoughts kissed in her mind, and the prince of logic was beginning to appear.

The boy wasn't struck down by her horse...at least, not of her accord. If he truly was hit by hooves, he was pushed. Then again, they're all to blame. The thought was hers, but it sounded like Christophika's. She remembered that livid face. He honestly looked like a kettle of tea steaming from the sides. He didn't like the politics, but he was absorbed by them. She didn't like politics, so she completely ignored them. But here, and it was at this point she realized that, though some had followed her, Pio hadn't, here was a case where the politics were really happening. She needed to think.

She wanted to ignore the scene and deal with it later, so she stepped into the courthouse--partially. There was a loud thumping behind her, as someone interrupted the crowd. "Please, please everyone! We do not want to make any threats or accusations towards this poor unfortunate person!" It was Beinsel! She stopped, her left foot's heel dangling over the threshold, and turned back to Beinsel. Now's not the time for hellos! It took nearly all of her restraint to stop from rushing out to hug him. Not only was he here to help Ormander, but he was now risking his life to help her, something, she realized, she was flat out shocked Pio wasn't willing to do.

"Instead of taking another life today, letstry an save two. Let me try an save this poor child, and heal his grievous wounds, which would surely bring forth death if not treated." Beinsel had become a much better talker than she remembered him. She remembered him as the quiet one, very introverted. It seemed he had turned over a new leaf. "Please, violence only begets violence, and that gets does not help anyone. Be the bigger person and forgive and forget, and lets all see to it that we all are able to wake up to a bright new day."

Then, rather abruptly in front of the crowd, he did something that jogged her memory. He had done these things very little back at the orphanage, but they were dead giveaways that he was also a caster. He healed the boy. As he did, Percifeer ran at him. It would be her only opportunity, to be sure.

((assuming the father is between Percy and the boy, lol, I would be if I was him...This is irrelevant of whether the cures work, because she can't change that after she's started running.))

She shoved the boy's father out of the way and rushed over to hug the boy. "I'm so glad you're ok!" She pressed him against her chest, a dirty move, but nothing better than this crowd deserved. "I'm so sorry that happened!" Then she paused, and looked at the crowd. Her face was stern, but not unforgiving. It was clearly NOT the face of a guilty party, because she was not guilty here. She was going to point out the most evil looking member of the crowd, but she saw someone. His armor glinted in the sun, as he paced the edge of the crowd, trying horribly to blend in. Her teeth bared as she pointed to Pio, removing his stealth amongst the crowd and shouted at him. "DON'T YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN!" It would probably be clear to Pio what she meant, but it would look to the crowd as though she was blaming him for the mount that nearly killed the boy. She was, but that wasn't what was upsetting her.
