Diabolic Genesis-Origins of Evil
Character creation details:
All components and aspects of your character must come from the phb 3.5, phb II 3.5, dmg 3.5, dmg II 3.5.
Other books will be made available to characters as they level.
You will be making a 5th level character.
Use the standard point buy system detailed in the DMG pg. 169 for generating ability scores. You get 40 pnts to spend plus the one ability score point raise at 4th level.
I can Generate characters for those that do not have the books. Just let me know the character Idea.
WEALTH BY LEVEL EDIT: The "Wealth by Level" has been overridden. The new wealth by level cap is 10,000 gp, which should allow for a 2500GP limit on any one item in consideration of the individual item spending limit.
Restrictions:
two ability scores of 18 maximum. One of which may be a 19 after 4th lvl ability point raise.
No characters with Evil alignments.
NO ability scores below 10 after racial adjustments.
NO ability scores above 18 after racial adjustments (with exception to added ability score at 4th level).
You MAY NOT put more than 25% of your "Wealth by Level" money into any one item.

All magic users need to use the magic pool system. You get mp in the following manner:
caster lvl X Int,cha, or Wis (According to class) mod =?pnts
spell lvls over 0 lvl= ? pnts
Spells/day X Spell lvl= ? pnts

going to be running Diabolic Genesis again but i need some advice. For those of you that are interested, would you wanna start from the beginning or pick up where the story left off? Keep in mind that I may want you to play the characters from the original game if we pick up where the story left off.

Well made it into the mines tonight. The game play was slow going and had trouble keeping people in the room tonight. Kudos to Gerald Defay for sticking around to the end.
Hope for a better turn out next week. Not every session is going to be battle and treasure. there is a reason it called a dungeon crawl. ::
had three players tonight, maybe a battle will happen next week. with my encounter table handy one can count on it.

Well this is going to tick the red dragon off! the party just routed and defeated the reptilian caravan of 4 Slaads and 8 kobolds, roughly a EL 8 or 9 for a 6th lvl party.
they got the treasure cargo for the dragon's horde but will they be able to keep it? On to the mines next week or to the volcano, whatever the party decides. They all leveled up this session to lvl 7.

Topic: Memorable NPCs? Subject: Yasmenyen
She was a DEEP NPC. An archmage of untouchable power that wanted to perform a ritual that required the Nine Swords (as in the Book of Nine Swords). We all had trouble nailing down her alignment. In her quest for power, she managed to convince the party that all she did whether is seemed evil or good, was in the best interests of the world in which we lived, and done with the best of intentions. Isn't that what the road to Hell is paved with?
Most of the party wrestled with our consciences, while others out right defied her, lost their lives in doing so, only to be brought back to life so they could renew their pledge of loyalty to her cause.
It felt kind of like the Mafia and she was the Godmother. I keep thinking,"Every time I try to leave, she pulls me right back in!"
I even expressed my unwillingness to kill those I thought were allies, and innocents.
She said,"You will do what you are told to do or die. I'm sorry Talibos. I have grown quite fond of you and you've come a long way, but I have waited many of your lifetimes for this ritual, and I cannot abide obstacles and others who would stand in my way, not when the time is so close. If you decide to leave, I will kill you. I cannot take the chance that you will have a change of heart, and try and stop me."
Beauty. Power. She just about had it all.
We as a party found out too late, or was it just in time, that if we wished to stop her, the only way would be is with our deaths at the last possible moment. The last mission was a failure and we lost all the sword we had procured. She could not perform her ritual.

Quarilin heads over to the three doors and allows their chaotic patterns to mesmerize him.

Topic: Tiamat's Chat Games 3.5 Subject: Awsome role play last Tuesday!
Ok we started a new adventure where the PCs investigate rumors of a young red dragon that has taken up residence in a dormant volcano in the MT. Daemon range, and too close for comfort to a mine. The miner's are on strike because they were promise hazard pay, but the Miner's Guild is falling back on that promise due to lack of facts on the dangers in the mines.
Last game session I ran my first bar fight. Went well, it was fun and well received.
T_O, Gerald, and Dvoloshin have been regular players so far. you don't have to be regular to play. I can generate a character for you, or BYOPC. As DM of these kind of short adventures I focus on the fun, not so much the rules. So come lurk or play message me directly in the chat room if you wish to jump in. All characters in game are lvl 6.
New start time!
Thursday 28th I will be starting the chat games at
7:30pm Central time to get 3 hrs of gaming in despite Wifey errands and interuptions, lol.
