Devon studies the newcomers sizing them up. Then, he takes notice of the small dragons' behavior. In order to best defend them, he also approaches the strangers and about half of the way to them he bellows out a warm, "HELLO!"

Subject: The Trail
As the group moves into the the familiar woods on the trail, sounds of wild life abound. The further they went and the closer they got to the strange house, the sounds of the wild decresendoed behind them and, again, a mysterious fog rolled in.
The house was nowhere to be seen on aproach, though there was a steadily brightening glow. The closer the party-for-hire got to ground zero, the more the glow began to take shape of a building. By the time they reached the end of the trail, the house had fully appeared before them, almost taunting the group to enter.

Tannif looked worried at the prospect of teleporting into the woods.
"You know, I'm good but teleporting into forests and the like is tricky business. If a tree is occupying the same place as one of you when we materialize, it will really hurt and put a stopper on the mission. I will teleport you as far as the clearing just before the forest. That gets you three quarters of a mile closer to your destination. Please join hands with me and we will be on our way."
The familiar White magic cloak overtakes the party and the scenery is replaced with a familiar forest trail. It is the same one they had traveled before.
"And now, I'll be off. Good luck and stay safe!"
And with that he flashes out.
(OOC: The effect from the outside of the teleport looks like Q from star trek "winking" out.)

"I've got nothing."
Devon looks down at his feet feeling useless. That's why he stayed so close to cities. He was mostly useless in the wild. He fashioned his spells for entertainment and survival in urban communities. In fact, at the University in Sebria, he would have trained to be a war-mage but though he could handle the physical and magical side of the training, he could not put up with the constant studying of tomes and books. Literate though he was, books were never his thing.
"I can detect magic and that's it. Most of my magic is geared to keep me alive in a pinch. I've felt it a couple of times before, I'll feel more power enter me from The Source, at that time I get restless and spend hours and sometimes days shaping a new spell until I get to be an expert at casting it. Maybe, next spell I shape will be useful to all of us."
Devon then turns to Brianna and says, "Well if we are going to make camp, I'm going to make myself useful and get some tender to make a fire."
With that he hands her the reins to her mare, "By the way, Your mare is an excellent ride."
Devon smiles and gives a wink and walks off towards a grouping of trees to look for fallen timber and twigs.

"Well if we are all ready, then, I propose a choice. Judging by the Governor's mood and your quick shopping, one would think that time is a luxury you don't have, so I can take you to the fading house if you wish, or I can drop you off a the town gates as planned. I can teleport back to town immediately so as to not put myself in any undo danger if you choose to teleport directly to the house. What say you to this?"

"Drat my impulsiveness. I'm going to have to remind myself I'm traveling with others and don't have just myself to watch out for. Well, as what for we just traveled through, it appeared to be a portal hidden by magical mist. We may not have been meant to find it, or were meant enter it blindly. That's just a theory, cause I never did cast detect magic on the effects around us."

"Yes, food is an important aspect of survival in the wild or unknown. If you feel you need to get food, now is the time. Otherwise, let me know you are ready to leave and join hands with me and I will take you to the town gates."
Tannif falls silent and stands stoicly.

As Devon dismounts the mare and gives her a pat on the neck and a rub on the muzzle, he speaks up, "Well, we're here. But, where is here? Setting up a camp is a good idea, but the sooner we look for humanoid settlements the better. We are in a new and unfamiliar area without a map. I hope the dragonettes know this area well."
Devon found the area to be beautiful and unspoiled. Wild.
Though he tries to play the tough survivalist, he finds it hard to hide his useasiness with the new surroundings.

Tannif holds out his hands for the group to take them and says, "Shall we be off then? Please join hands with me."
When the group joined hands making a circle, it seemed as if white smoke illuminated and charged with the energy of magic surrounded and incapsuled them. Just before the displacement took place, Bailash was able to get out a heart felt , "Good luck to you all." With that the governor's library was quickly replaced by a merchantile square, busy with customers.
Tannif looks around and then back at the team and says, "I'll wait here for you to finish your shopping then I will teleport you all to the city gates. Is that acceptable?"

A long "OOOOOKAAAAAY" leaves his lips as he mounts the mare ready to get on the road.
"I hope she isn't green broke. I'm used to a smooth ride."
As the group begins to move out Devon chuckles nervously as he clicks the horse into matching the groups speed.

Devon puts on the ring and at first it was too big but magically sizes itself his finger. He tucks the wand into his vest after inspecting the intricate designs along the shaft.
"Flame, not that I know you all too well, but what on Faerun would you need with a ring?"
He kind of rolls his eyes in the small dragon's direction with an amused smirk on his face.
"So what's next on the agenda?"
