Same bat time same bat channel. (For those of you that don't speak batman, thats 8:30 central, in Tiamat's Gambit.)
game went well tonight though all those I was expecting didn't show up. So the dragon wasn't encountered yet, will hopefully get to that next week.

Subject: best advise i can give at the moment
Rail roading, unfortunately is a valuable tool in a DMs toolbox, which must be used subtly. in this case you can call it an adventure closed and done with and they can roll up new characters, or go DM vs PCs and create a new more powerful revolution to dethrone the crimeboss and if the PCs swear fealty or loyalty to the crime boss, they can die off one by one. If they gripe moan and whine, remind them that in RPGs as well as life decision the characters make will have consequences. Not everyone in the realm is going to want that kind of social element on the throne.

Quarilin lights a sunrod and offers it to Raina. After which, he uses Burning Hands to turn the charcoal into burning embers and light the pete.

Subject: Creeping along now
Yuphart'd begins to move towards the south end of A5 slowly looking in all directions for possible traps: The ceiling for trap doors, falling rock traps, bladed pendulums. The floor for strange looking floor tiles, knobby foot switches, trip wires. The walls for suspicious hidden holes....etc.
Moving 10' at a time then looking, searching, trying to spot some sign of danger, for he at least still hears danger (the snoring).
when he reaches the south end of A5 he takes a left and continues moving as indicated above. 10' at a time, looking, searching, trying to spot something dangerous before it becomes a problem......

Subject: HOLY WOW MAN!
Tonight was off the hook! A little rocky at times too. My boy Pyroboom drew first blood and last on the gibbering mouther with a fireball. T_O, Takley,Lord of Magic were also there.
They all did a great job and were patient with me as I learned what a job I had on my hands and how much I've bitten off to chew.
For all those that participated in the "Player Fishing" period, Thank you so much and I look forward to any feed back about the adventure and the way I DM. The day looks as if it will be on a Tuesday or Thursday. I will probably run on those two days next week to make my final decision.
I must apologize for the anticlimactic nature in which I ended the adventure. I just didn't intend to run it for three sessions at 2.5 to 3 hours a session. there were to be three encounters: The preview encounter with the gibbering mouther, three CR3 bandits, and the final encounter with the Mouther. Well the main objective was accomplished and i wished to move on to another adventure. Things will be rocky, nothing new is ever easy, but please don't let that keep any of you from joining in the fun. It can only get better!

If that is the way Flanker feels then maybe he needs to "Take his ball home" even before someone gets a chance to play with it.
We don't need someone coming in here to sign up as a member, just so they can roust our buck, and try and ream our webmaster a new one. We have lurkers, players, those that use, apreciate, and enjoy the gaming tools provided here, and people here that hold this site dear as a second home to get away from real life just long enough to wind down. Those are the kind of members we want. So Flanker can apply whatever tone he wishes to this post he wants to.

Friday went pretty good, we had three players though one was just watching for a while he took over one of the PCs already in play when a player had to leave.
this week's 'fishing' days will be tuesday (tomorrow), and thursday both at 8:30 pm central time. Im leaving the weekends alone because I see very few members here during the week end (and my D20pro game is on sunday 3pm to 11). Still hoping to reel in about 3 more players per session. So if you can make it, please do! The two PCs could use the help. They've made it into the cavernous dungeon and presently out matched!

Truth be told, im dripping dry cause i never got a towel or facelick when i joined back in (like 2008-09?).
Yeah ody, I saw the same thing, it wasn't just you with wirty dord mind. lol
Also tomorrow at 8:30 I will be in dragon chat "Tiamat's Gambit" ready to hand out PCs and play some dnd. I got a bunch of PCs already generated Various races and classes. If I don't have what you want (Race and class combo) just give me race and class and ill have a PC generated for you in less than 5 min. Im going for a 3hr session or until it dies (down to one player). hope to see a great turnout on Friday!
remember, This week and next (trying tuesday and thursday next week) are just fishing for activity. The day that garners the most activity is the day I will choose for the game day I will run on a daily basis.

Well I had probably one of the most excellent days here at the inn yesterday. Seeing everyone's MTG: Inn edition card spectacularly done by Celeste in true Magic form. Then ran a game for a couple of hours in dragon chat (that is until the unusually late honey-do from my wife to go buy cigs).
