Subject: maybe a plan?

I passed this by the Gm already. Adrian has a GMC truck and a pull behind trailer. Should have tools and in the trailer some souvineer props from movies hes been in. However, its all probably been looted, thats up to the GM.

A pharmacy is a good idea, but what about a pawn shop? good weapons and maybe even ammo.

Subject: Adrian

((OOC: Kind of a back post. Got in a bit late. oh and btw, picture "Billy the Exterminator" as far as my character is concerned))

In the darkest corner of the basment, sits a figure dressed in a black leather trench coat, black leather hat with snakeskin trim, aligator skin boots, black denim pants, and a flannel shirt.

For nine days, he pretty much kept to himself. Sleeping, drinking hot beer and stale beer nuts, and replaying over and over again in his head of the events that led to the loss of his quarry. Ironic. The one that deserved jail time turns into one of those creatures and gets to run free, while the hunter becomes the imprisoned hunted.

He hears the arguments and back and forth bickering from those he is barricaded in with, though tries hard to block it out. What had he done wrong. He should of put one between the eyes of that bounty jumper turned freak. He thought ducking inside the bar would be more beneficial to his health. He had seen the police put the contents of a .38 special in one of those animals. It kept going like the Energizer Bunny and made a meal out of the cop.

Try as he might, he couldn't block them out. Especially when he heard,

“All I wanted was a cold beer, some hot wings, and some highlights from the game,” Murph muttered, pocketing the butt as he blew his last drag into that pitiful ray of light. He ran one grease and oil stained had over the lengthening stubbles of hair that covered his scalp, shook his head, and either snorted or started to chuckle (it was hard to tell, even for Murph) before pushing away from the wall and turning his eyes on the others again. “Then I was gonna go home, watch the news, and probably pass out on the couch so I could get up and go finish that turbo the next day… I usually don’t even come in here on Thursdays,” he smirked as his eyes settled on O’Brian’s barmaid, Amber, “but it ain’t like the Cubbies take the pennant every season, right?”

The mechanic shoved himself to his feet again, snatching the bottle from the kid’s hand and taking a good long pull from it before handing it back and, seriously this time, letting his eyes take in the face of each person in this dismal sanctuary. He winced a bit as the burn of the whiskey surged down his throat and into his near empty stomach, then, looking from the last face to the door that no one had dared to open since Patty hadn’t come back, he set his jaw and nodded once. “All right. We’re gettin’ outta here!”

Mac stood up, dusted off his coat and said," Well it's about damn time! I'm in, what's the plan?"
He pulls from his shoulder holster his pride and joy Smith and Wesson 357 magnum, opens the chamber and checks to make sure he still has 6 shots. Then he pulls out what appears to be a very strange walking stick made apparently out of aluminum.

Topic: Zombies in Chicago - D20 Modern Recruitment
Subject: Adrian "Mac" MacGregor

This is kinda a first post and background story:

Age: 36; Hair: Mullet style, Brown; Eyes: Blue;

Gender: Male; Occupation: Stuntman/Bounty hunter.

The inspiration for my character comes from "Fall Guy".

Born and raised in Lafayette, Louisianna this good ole boy
earned his first knocks in the swamps during the summer on his uncle's gator farm in the southern part of the state. Both of his parents were alcoholics and abusive to a fault so every summer he'd run away to his uncle's house to work and have "fun". Life in the swamps and the dangers that came with it made him strong and agile.

It didn't seem long before he was 18 and graduated highschool. Instead of college, he continued to work for his uncle and started working IN the gator shows his uncle put on. That was how he was discovered by a talent agent and started his true career as a stuntman.

The stunt business was going great. He might jump from a tall building or Tarzan from a swinging vine, for he was the unknown stuntman that made Segal look so fine.

It was only a matter of time before he had broken every bone in his body and ruptured his spleen, bloating his belly out. That caused his stunt jobs to slow down. He was only 25 at the time. Too early to retire. He had to find work somehow.

One day in New York, a bank was being robbed. He was filming at a nearby hotel. During his break he walks into the bank, forgetting he was dressed as one of the bad guys in the movie and he had a 357 smith and Wesson (loaded with blanks) stuffed down his pants. The robbers didn't take instant notice with their attention on the robbery in progress. Those on the floor took notice of the gun on Mac and gasped.

"Oh no, no I'm not with them. Shhhh!" he said in a hushed voice.

Too late. The man robbing one of the tellers spun around, only to find himself face to face with the barrel of a 357 magnum staring back at him.

"Alright give me your gun, mister."

"Sure, Sure just don't shoot me."

As soon as the gun was in his hands, two men come out of the open vault. One raises his gun to shoot, and Mac pulls the guy he just disarmed into the way as a shield and instinctively fired his 357 and the two guys ducked back. Getting a grip on the gun with live rounds he fires the gun with blanks to keep them back. With the 357 emptied he aims the live gun at the vault, "Throw you guns to the floor and come out with your hands up, and no one will get hurt."

Two guns clatter to the floor and the two men walkout, hands in the air.

That was the pivotal point, where he decided to moonlight as a bounty hunter.

11 years after the robbery in New York, barricaded in the basement of a bar in Chicago, he had chased his lasest bounty jumper to. His quarry winds up mutating into a Zombie running loose while he's the prisoner down below.

(This is definitely not all but a good start. Looks like I won't be starting with the others. Keep me in mind if someone bites the big one or gets the big bite, ok?

Also my GMC Truck has a pull-behind living trailer and im carrying my 357 (6 live rounds this time and a prop lightsaber complete with aluminum rod blade from being an extra in Star Wars 2 on Geonosis. other than that I would assume my truck and trailer were looted during the "riots".

Anywho, If there is anything you would like me to change, let me know.)

needs to keep moving or shut down. The last time anyone posted in the Q&A was the 17Th of July. Being in a new world all together I figured would raise some questions. Plus things are goin to get interesting I PROMISE you, if you all would get busy exploring.

Also we lost Gboy. Maybe you all knew it but I didn't. So I suppose I'll be playing Xavier from now until Gboy returns.

If there is anything the players require of me before you can post let me know here.

"Chiron, food won't be a problem for quite a while, my good man!" Xavier reaches into his pack and pulls out a heaping handful of trail bars.

"Besides, I thought you paladin types could produce food from nothing, or is that just clerics. If its just clerics, next city we come to, I suggest we hire one. Otherwise, I do believe we have enough food to last until we make it to a city."

He makes a 'come on, let's go' type motion to his sister and begins walking in the direction of the forest. Then he looks back.....

"Well, if we are not camping now, I suggest we get moving. That forest looks a long ways off."

but seriously, you have a volcano erupting behind you with hot glowing lava. With a chasm between you and the lava, AND the worst of the eruption over, your campfire should be camouflaged by the background glow of molten rock (at least at a nightly visual distance of 10-15 miles off.

Xavier: "Well, hell! I had my eye on the ring! Oh, well, you are probably right, Chiron. The ring and amulet suit Tenacity well."

Xavier reaches out and picks up the gloves and bracers.

"Sis, I know these are gloves, but is there anything special about them?"

Camille: "Brother, if you look closely at the leather you can see magic runes and pictographs of a feline creature stamped into the leather. These gloves should help you in your acrobatic efforts."

Xavier hands her the bracers. "These are for you, Sis, and I don't want to hear any argument about it either. I know you are not crazy about any kind of armor, but you need some sort of protection."

Putting a hand on her shoulder and giving her a look of concern Xavier says,"Go on, Camille, put 'em on."

Reluctantly, Camille dons the bracers. Then turns to her brother to offer up at least a little fuss,"Xavier, you really do tend to worry about me too much. I've gotten this far on my magic, and I don't feel I really need this."

"Camille", Xavier says, slightly exasperated,"Please just wear them, for my peace of mind. Besides you might even get used to them, maybe even like them later on."

Subject: *shrug*

Check Tim's shrug.Thought it was kinda funny how *shrug* was wrote in like that was the sound it made or that we don't know a shoulder shrug when we see one.

Sounds also like we have star trek fan writing or at least a klingon fan- "It is a good day to die!" Worf said that in "First Contact".

Pretty decent strip over all. Good work.

I didn't know her for very long,
but her presence here was strong.
If all I knew of her, in the end,
It would be enough...
to know that she was a loving sister,
and a caring friend.

My condolences to you and your family, Bri.

I miss her here at the inn. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers all the time. I still hope against all hope that she can and will make some kind of recovery, but if it be the higher power's will (which ever one you believe in), may she go without pain and in peace. Stay strong for you and your family. I'm sure the love and hope of your fellow inn-mates is with you, just as is mine.

Subject: Tenacity scanning

As Tenacity scanned the horizon, she saw nothing that was familiar. It was too warm here to be northern Faerun, and they had just come from the extreme south of the continent. Maybe they teleported to one of the unseen southern islands. Maybe they are now in a totally different world, altogether.

They stood before a massive grassy plain. At least for fifteen miles of travel, they would be able to see danger coming, though, danger could also see them coming. Tenacity was able, due to the clear skies and clean air, to make out the outlines and colors of what loomed on the horizon. To the northeast she can see a densly wooded forest. The forest's cheek to cheek next door neighbor to the south is an imposing mountain range. Strangely enough, a black, unnatural cloud, emitting lightning but no thunder, hovers omniously over the peaks of the range.
