@Altaira

Just read your latest post in the roleplay and you said you wondered how much you can move and attack in the same turn in D&D.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but you can move a maximum 30ft in one round (of course, terrain plays a part in this. If it's rough/rocky terrain or thick with plants/undergrowth etc, the movement length can be restricted). 30ft when walking normally, 60ft when dashing. But you can't attack and dash on the same turn. But you can walk and attack on the same turn.

Did I get that right, people? Lol.

You get a move and an action.  You could make full move then attack, attack then make full move or half move/attack/half move.  Dash is an action so you could move then dash but no attack.  If you have dash as bonus action you can use it again.  If you have a trait that allows you to take an extra action you can dash again.  Hasted you could dash twice.  Currently a PC can Dash up to 4 times on the same turn using action, Action Surge, Haste action, and any feature that allows you to Dash as a bonus action.

FYI - Life has been very busy for the last 3 days.  I will updat ethe game tomorrow - Sunday.

Lily - what they have said about movement is correct with one small correction - you are small.  Humans and many others move at 30' per turn but the wee little ones only move at 25' per turn.  Little legs and such.  Thus you can move normally at 25' per turn or if you want to forgo attacking and use your action to dash - 50'

Caves or no caves

Tann/Silver - FYI, you are no where near the cave right now that you know about.  The Vargolg is a mile away.  One goblin is hiding in the rocks above you.  There are likely others at the pyre above and forward of your position.

I'm working on the post now.  Up soon.

Quick question...

What's the difference between a goblin and a hobgoblin?

???

Okay, I think I'm understanding actions and movements, thank you everyone.  Distances, seem a lot further than I was thinking.

I think i will wait to post to see what others are doing before I post for Lily; maybe give me some idea of how Lilly can help.

Goblins vs Hobgoblins

In D&D terms, goblins are smaller and sneakier and typically greenish where skintone is concerned. Hobgoblins are larger and more aggressive and usually red (think red orcs with a fire allergy... kindasortainaway...)

Basically hobs are meaner and bigger and nastier...

I think... Don't mind me... I'm not really here!

Sneaky Eol

That post on goblins and hobgoblins was about right.

The question is . . . which one is a sneaky Eol who pops in for a random post?!!
