My elf is going to be in the group that's ambushing the bandits from the trees. He has a bow, so I thought a ranged attack would be more effective than using his rapier for a melee attack. Not very ambush-y when you have to reveal your position to attack. With a bow, Thäoran can stay hidden and pick off the bandits from the trees/bushes.
So, discussion of how to take down the bandits...
There's not very many of them, but as soon as Soledad, Uthal and Thäoran do anything, they'll know we're here. How about if Soledad casts her sleeping spell on one of them (not sure about the range of that spell. Can it affect more than one target at a time?) That will prevent those asleep from getting away.
We are still too far away from most of the bandits, and before Uthal breaks his concentration to attack, I suggest we utilise his 'pass without trace' to get a bit closer and take out those rear archers before all hell breaks loose.
I was starting to get a post ready but am a bit uncertain.
There seems to be a thought that the casting of a sleep spell is what will trigger an attack, but there is no actual post for the casting of a sleep spell or anything else. So far all of the posts are basically preparing and creeping up. So . . . as the posts currently sit I will make my next post as if you are all just holding your positions/moving up. But NOT attacking yet. Or, and I suppose this is specifically for Soledad, give me a quick post indicating the spell and target area and I will work with that. Others could also indicate who they would target if a sleep spell is cast. For example, Gerdar could say, "when someone from the group attacks Gerdar grabs hi ax and swings at . .. "
I shoudl be able to post Thursday night, but could wait as long as late Frday to move it along.
