Yes, trying to fly would ruin any surprise unless you accidentally crashed into the ship - then everyone would be surprised. Except Asher who would expect it to land on him. yes I suggested that leaving your post as is was a good role playing moment, I did not say you had to leave it as is. As to what Wolf does once he realizes the mistake, that is up to you. Running seems the best option though. You do not need to get all the way to be useful and the shuttle would probably take longer to lift off. Well then it's simple Once he realizes he can't really fly it all that's left is to hoof it as fast as he can towards a point where he can be of some help. So that's what he'll do.
