Hey crew! Popping in to check in, read some goodies, and pop out. I am moving to a new (and improved!) place, so my week has been pretty allocated to packing and hauling. I will do my very best to get a post up for you before the scene moves on, but at the very least I am in conference with Al about Tess's moves.
Been trying to figure a good place to use to stand ready.
Tann, do you think Ash and Wolf should be on the ground or take a position up on the ship's body? There is a little room to hide behind the landing gear or ever in the gear's bay. If we go up we can see the approach but there is less cover.
They might remember Ash hiding up on the tail before. Just don't see a bunch of options.
The church of Jeff Kay believes that Jeff Kay was a former President of the United States back on Earth that was. He was assassinated while on the way to make a book deposit and yet somehow no one knew who killed him or why. But according to church doctrines, evil servants of Satin called republicants were behind the plot. According to the church prophesy, Jeff Kay would return during a time of crisis and lead his faithful against the republicants. The Church draws a lot of followers who are down on their luck, not well educated, hate the alliance and usual stick to border planets. They are considered a thread by alliance as they tend to stockpile weapons to fight the Republicant war on day.
OK, so according to the map there's a lot of hilly-stuffy-wuffy near Roc. I think it is better to have the crew out of the ship and in the hills utilizing the cover there (relative). My thought is that we will need someone inside Roc (I'm thinking Wolf as he's mechanically capable of causing grief if he needs to) to cause problems and keep the enemy potentially forced to divide their attention (think the Serenity, the Pilot Episode meeting with Patience). The last thing I want the mercenaries to do is airlift Roc off-planet. So, Celeste, I think the best use of the missile drop would be to take out the CL-54 Cargo Lifter. As much as I'd prefer to take out the troops, if they just sweep in and airlift Roc then there's absolutely nothing we've got left to negotiate with.
Been running like crazy getting everything ready for my trip to Georgia, getting a handicap sticker for Mom, taking my best friend to all the offices he needs to go to recover his ID's and a number of other things.
I will try to get posts up by Sat-Sun again my apologies.
