I like the changes, Tek. I'm with what you've got set up!

Don't worry Admiral, Virago will get plenty of opportunity to maim, kill and destroy as a defender ~~ even more so then the front line. Front line's main job is to score, defenders generally beat the crap out of players coming into score.

Subject: ...on third thought...

Alright, I’ve modified my stance on that. Let me know what you think.

Downhouser – Center. If he plays defender, the fakeouts will be detrimental to the game. Plus, he can plow the way for the wings. He has nice points in both physical and skill to pull this off.

Virago and Katie – Wings. It’s all about speed and acrobatics baby.

Danyael and Percy – Defenders. Percy has decent physical and skill points; Danyael has extreme mental capabilities (so he’ll hopefully notice the puck flying by him) plus the whole sleight of hand skill (disappearing puck anyone?) and kung shui. Oh, and that whole advantage of Percy’s “Crazy Prepared - You don’t get to be a notorious serial killer by NOT having backup plan after backup plan on ice, now, do you?”

Vitali – Goalie. Hand eye coordination is key for playing goalie. Vitali seems to have a lot of that, especially in his ‘zombie apocalypse” training and awareness skill. A goal is the ultimate defendable position. *winks*

... if we stick Downhouser as goalie, his size may just fill up the entrance of the goal, thus making it extremely hard to get a puck past him.

Sounds good to me, Steelight. I actually know a thing or two about hockey; we'll see if it matters at all.

I'm ready for an epic no holds barred game. Prepare for awesomeness.

I love it. I didn't think it was too long at all! It reminded me of a song rhythm as well, only what was brought to my mind was "Ambush" by Harry Nilsson. Keep them coming!

Subject: Raina~Short but simple

It was easy packing up her room, as she had not unpacked much at all. Raina was glad t be free of the dress and back into her familiar leather. Today’s conversations certainly had been interesting, especially when semantics started getting argued over. What does it matter? A group of people is a group of people no matter what they’re called.

Everyone gathered back into the parlor for some last minute instructions. She was eager to be away from the mansion; it had been pleasant being looked after for a few days, but she was anxious for the open road. Raina’s dark blue eyes followed the book as it disappeared into Quarlin’s lap. It appeared that she wasn’t the only one who was watching the tome’s progress. Heironymus looked suddenly interested, “You mentioned some reading material? I would appreciate the chance to read anything you think might be of assistance."

“What I’d like to know is if you’d like us to communicate with you,” she paused, looking around at Vorlance, “Would you like bi-monthly updates, something more frequent, or are you afraid of information being intercepted? Additionally, do you have any instructions for us if you need to contact the group with some vital information?”

Topic: Tales of City Fantastico
Subject: Kathryn ~~ I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay!

The PDA felt unfamiliar and flashy. Kathryn hadn’t really bothered with all of the high tech phones that were on the market; she didn’t feel a need to have an app that could order your dinner, automatically feed your cat, and tell your psychiatrist to piss off all with the push of a button. Although they did make great explosives if overloaded correctly. She continued to play with it as the truck lumbered towards Fantastico Arena.

As everyone trooped out of the truck, Virago began into yet another tirade about drugs. His ever increasing speed in personal monologues and tweaking nature was beginning to grate on her nerves. He apparently had no idea what the word tact meant, especially in what might be a delicate situation. She looked sideways at her new team, lingering over Downhouser’s meaty frame and Percy’s slightly bulging eyes. Not that discretion is something we’ll ever achieve.

The structure could have once been called grand, although now it was a stretch of the imagination with the scattered debris, downed concession stands, and roof that threatened to cave in. Virago looked like a kid in a candy store, his eyes opened wide as he examined the surroundings. Katie smiled as she felt the ever looming promise of blood from the old hockey arena. Before Fantastico had been overrun, she had spent several games here testing her ability to call a score. At least four hundred of her hard earned dollars had gone right back to the bookies. It was then that she realized that the casinos really were friendlier then sports fanatics.

A faint clink of a falling cup brought her back to the present, then immediately her hands flew up to her ears as the air horn went off.

“F**K!” she yelled out as the noise died. Katie never did like that horn, though the grisly plays the Fantastico Wildfires had done on the ice had made up for it. Several of the doors had been closed and the large doors in front of them burst open to reveal, Kathryn did a double take, Wildfire players?? Regardless as to who they actually were, they were quickly surrounding the five of them.

Her hands dropped instinctively to the Eagles at her side when a voice boomed out, ”Boys, boys settle 'er down eh?”. From behind the line of guys in hockey gear stepped Mr. Lumberjack himself.

”Alright then you lot,” his tuque bobbed a little as he gestured with his hand , ”what's all this aboot then, eh?”

Danyael slide out in front and began the introductions. "Well, when I was told we'd be expected, I have to admit I didn't plan on THIS sort of greeting. How about you put those blades away boys. We're here on business, and we'd prefer it if it didn't include a violent introduction."

He paused, and she was suddenly aware that she was touching cold metal. She casually moved her hands behind her back.

"We were told you might have some information for us. And that we could perhaps lend you a helping hand with the... situation you've grown so tired of. But if you don't want our help, I'm sure we can find other paths to our goal."

Katie thought that he had done pretty well; Danyael had covered everything in a few sentences. She was impressed, right up the point when he opened up his mouth for a third time.

"And judging by the greeting, it seems like you have all the help you need eh Canadian? Or perhaps you need someone a bit smarter, a bit smoother, or a bit more... shall we say... awesome to get the job done. Hmm?"

Before anyone had any chance to respond, Virago decided then was the opportune moment to speak his mind, “First off my name is The American. Nice to meet a fellow connoisseur. So why are you mad at Garnet anyway? Do you want to be top dawg up in da Westizzi or something? I'm not familiar with your products. Or are you a simple mule for Garnet's science nerds? I heard you used to move a s***load of coke back in the day... oh wait, you're Canadian. Umm... carry the one... I heard you used to move a metric f***ton of coke back in the day. Any truth to that? And if so, do you have any on you? And if so, any chance I get a little taste? Or a big taste? Also, if you're interested, I'd love to show you my home blends. I promise they'll be a hit with the kids."

Kathryn exploded, her brogue heavy with emotion, “What the f**k is wrong with you? Do you not realize that we are here to do business of a different nature? Thank God you’re not driving. I’d be afraid that you’re unnatural attraction to lamp posts combined with coke would have us stopping every ten yards just so you could lick them!”

Topic: Dancing into the Assassin's Dawn
Subject: Amcaria ~ The Eyes of Uelaereene

The Lion's Pride, Labaram, Vaharon

Amcaria's eyes slide out of focus as she stared out of the little window in her room. Fortune had been on her side ever since Brumwell had deigned to give her a room of her own a little over two years ago. It was little more than a cupboard, but it had a window the size of a breadbox that allowed her to catch a glimpse of the sky above. Brumwell had decided to ‘upgrade' her living arrangements due to all of the revenue that she brought into the Lion's Pride. A small sleeping pallet was shoved against one wall, leaving just enough room for a rickety three legged stool, a chipped porcelain wash basin with pitcher on the floor, and a small table with a cracked mirror set upon it. An assortment of lip stains, rouge, and eye pencils were scattered upon its surface, along with a small porcelain vase holding a withered white carnation.

The breeder had insisted that the make-up would make the patrons think she was more attractive. The mith'ganni thought she looked more like a whore. The resultant bruise on her upper thigh was now nearly faded from the last time she had not worn it. Tonight the make-up was already in place, and she now searched the heavens. Amcaria had made it a habit to tribute a dance each night to a constellation in the sky. The view from the tiny window usually showcased one per night. The Eyes of Uelaereene winked at her before disappearing behind a veil of clouds. So it was to be She who finds the way tonight. On the nights that the mith'ganni was allowed to prowl the streets, she had meticulously tracked the progress of the stars. It was a dying tradition that she clung to; an attempt to maintain her identity. An attempt that was slowly failing.

Getting up from the stool, she let her tunic and pants slide to the floor before picking up one of her dancing outfits. She slipped into a black full circle skirt half done in white embroidery. The design was one of her clan's, but it didn't matter here. Only some would recognize the pattern as being ‘a filthy point ear's', nothing more. Her matching long sleeved choli also bore the same design, the tight fitting sleeves that hinted at the shape underneath swirled and thickened with thread the closer it got to the wrist. As she closed the small buttons up to plunging neckline, she remembered the amount of time spent embroidering the two items. Not that I had very much else to do these last five years. She smirked as she fingered the scars hidden underneath her sleeves. Except that.

Her thoughts were interrupted by three loud booms that resounded through the room as someone pounded on the door. The porcelain vase wobbled dangerously and she shot her hand out to steady it. A scowl shot across her face as she looked back to the door. Slime eating sweat doused metal loving pacher! The knocks indicated that it was time for her to hurry her ass up and get out on stage. Amcaria was sure that Brumwell enjoyed hearing her trinkets rattle to the floor; his pounding usually rattled the wooden walls. Occasionally the little window shuddered violently and threatened to break, but so far the fates had smiled upon her. Especially tonight, had the window broken rain would have poured in onto the sleeping pallet. As if to punctuate the point, lightening flashed across the sky, momentarily illuminating the Twilight Elf's slightly haunted face.

She slipped out into the hallway barefooted. The establishment was well enough off that most of the areas and rooms aside from the common room were carpeted. The result was that her footsteps were muffled in the empty corridor, and she paused outside the door that would lead to the stage area. The mith'ganni allowed herself a moment before subjecting herself to yet another night of cat calls and leering. She wiggled her toes into the carpet threads as she listened to crowd through the door, gauging the level of boisterousness that she would be subjected to. The maroon jacketed band had been playing for a couple of hours, and the noise level indicated that there was a larger crowd then would normally be occupying the Lion's Pride. Rain.

Kristopher Brumwell liked to keep Amcaria off stage until later on in the evenings to allow the patrons to get liquored up. The round ear had some theory about money spent versus liquor consumed and factoring in a mith'ganni dancer all at the right time to increase sales. The whole conjecture was explained to her upon arrival to the Lion's Pride, and after about forty five minutes of hand waving and loud punctuations, she thought the breeder was full of it. Apparently she had been wrong; the crowd had increased exponentially since she began her ‘career' of dancing, much to the delight of Brumwell. He had shown his pleasure in a few different ways, none being particularly pleasing for her.

The heavy wooden door creaked as she stepped out into the common room. She deftly dodged around a scruffy looking noble whose hand had reached up to pinch her and stepped nimbly onto the stage. A round of drunken cheering and whistling rose up from the crowd, and she dropped into a humiliating curtsey. One of the bards, Sam, picked up a gittern while the rest of his comrades trooped off the stage in search of drink. He looked up at her, gave her a small wink, and struck up a rather dramatic folk tune. That would make it easier. Uelaereene would respond better to a strong tribute of passion rather than a meek accolade. She raised her hands and gave the crowd one last look before allow herself to succumb to her dance. Scantily clad serving girls flitted in and out of an ever growing mob of people. A flash of lightening showed a group of men struggling to fit through the door, and their protests rose over the din in the common room. A glass broke as a well dressed man stumbled over an askew chair. Her skirt swirled away from her hips as she bent her knees and twirled on the spot. Then her body belonged to the music and the stars.
