Sorry, no post yet, but I will try and have something up today.
That all sounds good to me, although, would it make sense to just adjust game time to the current year? For brain functioning ease? Or does everyone like 2010?
Yes, I've made some adjustments to Mami Fortuna  thought that might be a fun revelation. I have a couple of related chars in the works too, as kind of fun background beings pulling at strings.
Eol, going to fast forward us to Penelope's apartment. I shall post soon, this I swear!

+1 Leather Armor
Crossbow Bolt with a Sleep enchantment upon it
How do we want to split this? Iara could use the Bracers, it doesn't stack with armor but I think it will with the deflection bonus from her ring. Does somebody else have their eyes on those? I'm good with howver you want to split. Also, I say we sell anything we won't use. I want to get Iara a couple of wands so need to gather funds.
What do you all think?

Iara hissed at the sight of the cold iron blades and delivered a swift kick to the fallen bandit that had carried them. There was only one reason to carry weapons forged of cold iron. They were hunting faeries. It ha become personal.
Keeping the full weight of the revelation to herself, Iara set herself to studying the few items that glowed with a magical aura. She found only a few minor enchantments. While few among them would do her any good, her new companions might find a use for them. In an odd moment of forthright honesty, Iara revealed her discoveries to the group detailing the effects of each enchantment she found.
Once the wealth has been dispersed among them, Iara turned her focus to the cabin. What would they find in there?
"Well boys," Iara spoke with a twinkle in her eyes. "There is naught to go but forward. Let us see what else lies hidden here."

"More than I ever wanted to. More than I probably should. Nowhere near enough..." Alejandro took another swig from the bottle as he continued. "I've been hunting these sons-of-bitches for almost three years and I've only scratched the surface. The cult's been around for a long time..."
More than you know.
Indeed, worship of Azazel had gone on throughout the ages, reaching back millennia. In the days of old, only a few solitary mortals were twisted so greatly by their desire for power and beauty that they dared turn to one of the fallen. That all changed with the coming of the Christians and their Dead God. Dark Covens flourished under the cloud of secrecy that had become a mode of survival to all. The Christians had paved the way for the demon cults and Penelope hated them for that, nearly as much as she hated the demons themselves.
Azazel was old. A corrupted, twisted visage of desire. His was a too sweet beauty, it was tempting but to taste it was sickening. Demons were like that, exaggerated falsehoods whose truth only came to light when it was too late. They were the siren call of Hell. With their dealings in falsehoods and desire, many confused demons and faeries. Nothing could have been farther from the truth. Where demons strove to tempt and twist the world into hell, the fey were born out of an imaginational fervor. They were manifestations of the unreal connecting the untouched realms of nature with the impossibility of dreams. Faeries might be carnal, wild, untamed, and duplicitous but there was celebration in that. There was joy and imagination. With every motion and every breath, the immortal masters of the in-between opposed the demons.
Over the centuries, Penelope had come into contact with a stray follower of the Beast, but never the cult itself. A single human sorcerer, no matter how powerful, was a minor annoyance compared to the shadow of an organized front. In a world of increasing connectivity, the possibility of a globally organized cult was a true threat. It chilled her to the bone.
Color drained from Penelope's face as Alejandro recanted his forlorn tale. They had broken him, sundered his world. An avenging spirit of rage has risen from the ashes. What would be left when retribution was done?
Reaching across the table, she took his hand in her letting the sorrow in both their grey eyes meet. This was about more than a pendant on the floor and protecting her secrecy. Alejandro was a lone man, waging a war against the rushing tide. How could she fail to do any less?
"Alejandro," she spoke with the light of resolve burning in her gaze. "We'll stop them. For Emily. For us all. If you think looking at my place will lead you to one of them, then let's not delay another moment."
Sitting back, she ran a finger slyly along her lips. If poking around her meager apartment was all he needed to find one or two of their number, the trip would be well worth it. One or two would be all she needed, she'd just have to convince Alejandro to keep them alive...

"Cariñoso," Penelope cooed, teasingly running a finger along his arm as she walked past him. "You were worried about me?"
Hearing the sound of the door shut, she released the glamer that constantly hid her true being. Faery magic exploded around her like a beacon of light to any that could see true. Penelope tossed her dark hair about basking in the momentary respite from her self-made shackles. Freedom, even one so small, was joyful.
Exhaling a contented sigh, the siren glided across the room to take a seat at the messy table. The strewn about papers and stale smell of cigarette smoke had a sobering effect. There would be no avoiding talk of Alice no matter how dearly she wanted to avoid the subject. Grabbing the bottle of scotch that had found its way to the table, Penelope brought the bottle to her lips and generously poured its contents into her mouth. It was nearly impossible for her to actually get drunk, but the burn of the whiskey inside her was wondrously calming. Taking a breath, she brought her grey eyes up to Alejandro's concerned face.
"I've been around a long time, mi vida. It will take far more than a demon child to snuff my light. With her attentions diverted elsewhere, she won't be coming back. Let's both take a breath and return to the matter at hand. There's that pendant I found. What do you know?"

Subject: Whatchagot?
Iara stalked up to the fallen druid brandishing a large stick which she proceed to poke the body with, thoroughly. Satisfied that the sylvan trollop was good and dead, she glided over to the other to join their deliberation.
A sly smile curved her lips at Savis's woops and hollers. There was a child's innocence buried in that animal fury. Her smile became quite genuine as she imagined directing that fury...
Iara sent her faerie lights into the fog with Savis and the bird-man. Oh, she'd help out but they couldn't expect her to actually participate in manual labor.
Standing next to the humming gnome, Iara set her magics to work on each body they hauled out of the fog. It proved quite the catchy tune sparking the impish faeries to dance around the bodies as she searched them. Fey magic emptied each pocket and upturned their pouches. She set her senses to route out any magic that hid amongst the bandits. Iara took her time, methodically sifting through every pocket and crevice. In the end, she left them without a stitch.
With the looting done, it was time to search the cabin. Iara turned her gaze to the open portal, waiting for the others to join her.
((OOC: Iara is using Detect Magic and Mage Hand (when possible) anytime she needs to actually touch something herself she will test with Mage Hand first))

Subject: Mami Fortuna Speaks
Twilight rose up as the day began to die, cooling the lake air. A light mist blanketed Hollywood Beach, now empty and barely remembering the queer bodies that had frolicked in the sun only a few hours ago. With the coming of the night a new people would populate the lake park. It was fitting that the cast out and desperate filled the emptiness, a nocturnal reflection of the not too distant queer past. Poetic even, but the best poetry is always sorrowful.
Mami Fortuna mused in the emptiness as she wandered along the twilight shoreline. A liminal space for a liminal time. The haggard crone held her tattered shoes and walked barefoot, letting the water and sand lick her toes. Drinking it all in, Mami Fortuna smiled.
It had taken her the better part of the day to hobble from Pilsen to the Northside, but this quiet was worth every wincing step even if it lasted only a heartbeat. She was growing tired. The world would change, that was a constant, but she was weary of it. She had liked the Mexican families that had made Pilsen their home. Even the young hipsters, artists, and poets that displaced them brought her some joy. But that was done. Droves of wealthy white men were moving in and she could tolerate them no more than they could her. She would find a new place, but for now Mami Fortuna sipped in the quiet of the lakefront.
Finding a friendly rock, the old woman sat beside it and began to ask it of the day. The other nigh-time lakesiders kept their distance from the batty old woman having a chat with a rock. They of course couldn't hear the rock answer back, but it did.
Mami Fortuna rather liked rocks. They were sturdy and let the years pass around them with little care. What was the frenzy of the city to one who remembered being a mountain?
Just as she was about to recount the delicious egg sandwich she had snatched, Mami Fortuna felt an itch at the temples, pulling her dark eyes to the eastern sky. Darkness flew among the clouds, swirling around the city. Something new had come, and it hungered.
"¡Hijo de puta!" the old woman cursed as she jumped to her feet, moving with an alacrity surprising for one her age. "La puta del diablo viene en lo fucking avión. Y tengo que mover. ¡Hijo de puta!"
Mami Fortuna continued to mutter as she hobbled down the lakefront path toward the residential streets. She had a long walk ahead and there was much to do.

This was one of my favorite games at the inn and I thrilled to see it brought back to life.

Well isn't she a nasty little creature! Cyrene and Penelope are going to HATE one another. I can't wait for them to meet 
As to metaphysics, right now it sounds like we're in line with your thinking. Based on her stats, she is normal near the limits of human physical prowess (and beyond with dexterity - human limit is 5). The battle boost ability allows her to increase those stats by channeling taint. Useful in a fight. The other metaphysics can cause a lot of pain, coupled with invisibility and minor illusions. No ability to magically kill, but you can do a lot of damage. Take a look at the invocations in the books and see if there is anything you like. If you really want her to be able to kill with a glance, I suggest replacing the invisibility/illusion abilities with Deathcurse....
Also, I made an error in the math. Tainted characters can't channel essence. Just move that over to Taint Channeling, easy enough. Being that your abilities are fueled by Taint (and considering her age) you might want to increase the Taint pool near the 30 pt threshold. We can say that as the Chosen of Azazel she's immune to Taint Marks (just don't upset your Master missy!). Whaddaya think?

Boo Boo, glad you like how the character is coming together. I did wing it a bit, so some of the math might be a little off. Question. What did you envision her being able to do, supernaturally speaking?

He's got a magic wand that he waves about and then things just happen. Like this here game starting back up again.
Some thoughts. Usually longer lived creatures require some kind of reason for that being so that has been purchased. So either very high essence or a separate quality. Maybe we do a little make-it-up and say Cyrene is one of the "Chosen of Azazel" - it could be a 15 pointer like Fey or Immortal. You'd have to buy the Gift separately but it would give you the taint, longevity, a boost to your physical attributes, and maybe regeneration. Then add in the True Immortal battle boost ability to the metaphysics. How does that sound? If it interests you I can flesh it out more so Eol can add to the char sheet.

We might as well just wait it out. Search and loot those bodies we can get to and then the cabin. Once the fog clears we can deal with what is there. Then maybe heal up and head back to the city? What do you all think?
All good on the slippery will saves. That stuff happens. Since it was a homebrew class, makes me wonder if the DC for glamourie needs to be higher. But you say the rolls and would know better than I. Can't hit a home run every time.

Subject: Cyrene duex
I can't find our original point buy either, but it was a little higher than the standard. We're not really working with the rules, but it's good to have a guide to gage what these characters are capable of.
Cyrene looks great. Considering her backstory mentions being both a fighter and a witch, might be fun to look at fleshing out the metaphysics there. Does she have supernatural strength or speed? Fast healing? True Immortals have a battle boost ability that might be fun. Azazel has given her longevity in return for her service, what else has he done to make her body strong? Since she has the extra points might be a good place to spend them. And add a rank or two of attractiveness since it was mentioned 
These are just suggestions to get the gears turning. Take them or leave them as you see fit, Boo Boo.
