As the shining rays of the sun chased the pale light of the moon away visions of the waking world slowly returned to Seluumiel's sapphire eyes. She awoke from her reverie as she always did, at the first light of dawn. The moon elf rose from the soft bed and moved to the balcony. Seluumiel watched the celestial dance of sun and moon as the golden sunlight washed away the dark night. She had always loved the dawn and dusk.
The moon priestess raised her head to the heavens as the glowing globe of the sun rose to light the day. She bid farewell to the night and greeting the morning. For a time she stood on the balcony whispering prayers to the Lady of Dreams.
When daylight fully grasped the world she broke from her prayer and returned to her room. Standing in from of the mirror she regarded her reflection and ran a hand through her silver hair. She snapped her fingers twice pulling a simple magic weave over herself. The cantrips pushed through her body and clothes all the while cleaning, freshening, smoothing, straightening, and arranging. In all but the blink of an eye she stood resplendent, her robes and hair shining in the morning light. Seluumiel nodded at her now pristine reflection and then turned to gather her belongings. After the books and scrolls had been returned to her bag she picked up her staff and departed the room leaving a gold coin on the night stand.
The moon elf descended the staircase and found herself in the lounge with two familiar faces; Ardulace and Satya. Smiling she walked up to the women and picked up a cool glass of spring water.
"'Quel amrun." She greeted her new companions as she lifted the cup of water to her lips.
(OOC: Quel amrun translates to good morning. 1 mp to cast Prestidigitation twice. Spent 1 gp.)

Subject: Whoops!
That's an oversight on my part, sorry. I'll have to double check all of Selunine's spells and purchase their components at the next available opportunity. Contact Other Plane would definitely be a good replacement, but Selunine doesn't know the spell. I'll have her cast Limited Wish towards the same end, that is so long as the XP cost won't drop her below her current level (let me know on this).

Subject: Divination
Selunine studied the magical auras intently. Slowly residues of the matrices that had formed them became clear to her. A host of minor cantrips and simple spells of utility decorated the field, nothing of grave concern. Her eyes narrowed as they fell on Mora's family and the grey auras surrounding them, auras that hid them from the undead. The many magical auras around their home meant that one of them certainly practiced the Art, and the abjurant auras on their bodies pointed to them knowing more than they let on. She would have to be wary of them should they remain together.
Moving close to Trillion she whispers softly. "It seems certain that one of Mora's parents practice the Art. I believe they may well know more than they are letting on, tread with caution my friend."
Selunine turns her gaze from Trillion to the intense aura above Badon. An oily sensation overcame her body each time she looked in the direction of what remained of the city. That the aura was of conjuration was evident, but she could not recognize anything beyond that. The fey narrowed her eyes, that she could not recognize an aura of such might worried her to no end.
"Let us see if more mighty divinations can further illuminate that aura."
Taking a step forward she stared intently at the aura of Badon. After a few deep breaths she began to gesticulate, her fingers nimbly tracing esoteric symbols in the air. The enchantress began to chant softly and slowly her arcane words grew in volume and intensity. All the while her violet eyes remained fixed on Badon glowing brighter and brighter.

Alone in her rooms Seluumiel poured herself a cup of water from the pitcher next to the bed. Sitting on the bed she drank to water. Ardulace had not come and she had hoped that she would have had a chance to talk to the woman alone. The moon elf finished the water and left the cup on the stand. She could talk to drowess in the morning, she needed to rest now.
Seluumiel sat up on the bed crossing her legs. Staring forward she began to focus on her breath. Inhale. Exhale. Slowly awareness of the room faded as she slipped into the elven trance. The years began to unfold before her pulling her deeper and deeper. And within her reverie she began to dream.

Soronuume turned to the amazon and smiled.
"There are many worlds Brianna. It is said that my people were born of another world, Faerie." Her amber eyes grow distant as she begins her tale. "Faerie was a great forest of sublime beauty where The People lived in peace. Faerie would only exist for one day, albeit a very long day but one day nonetheless. And so The People came to Faerun, yet have we escaped our fate? We have been pushed from our lands and now few of us remain on the land. Are we in the twilight of the elves? Will we fade away with the coming night?"
The wood elf turned from Brianna to look up into the night sky. The stars reflected in her eyes and she sighed. Her time in Faerun had shown her little that did not threaten the elves. The endless tides of humans had drowned her people, and she had spent decades fighting them off. Perhaps the myth was true. She sighed again

Soronuume sat on the earth amongst the copse of trees. Looking up she breathed deeply and thanked the Great Sisters for their gift of shelter. Xu had found her not long after they broke from the others to make camp and the panther now rested her head on the elf's thigh. Soronuume ran a hand through her dark chestnut curls as she continued gazing into the night sky. It was a beautiful night and she was glad to be out in it regardless of the reason.
The wood elf broke her gaze of the heavens as she turned to look at the flame haired amazon and the drow priestess. In her life there had been little dealings with the Not People and she had little need of them, yet here she sat with a human woman and a dark elf. Soronuume smiled at her companions, life was a river and she would not fight its flow.
"It is a beautiful night, is it not?"

As Selunine stares about the field faint magical auras come fall into her arcane gaze. Hey fey eyes surveyed the auras, studying them each in turn. The many wet spots around the area glowed faintly and the enchantress narrowed her eyes as the many auras came into view. There were too many to identify individually but none were of great power so the knowledge of their basic nature would have to suffice for now.
Selunine sighed and gazed back in the direction of the pyre that had been Badon. She gasped as her eyes fell on the aura that emanated from the city. It glowed like a brilliant beacon in the sky vibrating with power. A slimy damp feeling came over her as looked at it, but Selunine gazed on searching for residues of the matrix that had called the magic. It was as if something had been made out of nothing. The faery returned her gaze to the field finding many of the auras were of a similar nature, though lacking the feeling of wetness. Were they the magical shrapnel of what happened in Badon?
She turned to Trillion and placed a hand on the woman's shoulder as she pointed to Badon. "My friend do your eyes see what I see?"

Selunine looked to Trillion and nodded. She was still wary of this land and the walking dead had unnerved her to no end. Any knowledge of hwere they were would be welcome. The fey enchantress opened her awareness fully searching for the tell tale glow of a magical aura. Violet eyes begin to glow brighter as the power of the simple cantrip flowed through her. Soon magical auras began to appear before her. Selunine intensified her gaze studying the auras the matrices that bore them.
(OOC: Casts Detect Magic. Selunine will make a Spellcraft check to identify the nature of the auras detected. She will also make a Knowledge: Arcana check if applicable.)

Ninian spoke in response to Selunine's question. "My lady... Selunine I believe it was? ... I wish I knew the answer to your question. I myself was afraid when we approached the city's borders, and though we saw people within, I was afraid to enter because of the walking dead. However, I was confident that with Mora's power we would be alright. There was no need to test that power though, as they never approached us."
The fey nodded. "The events are most strange. Something did hold the skeletons approach. If we are to free Badon from its necrotic hold we may need to find a way to harness that power. But all will be dealt with in time."
Selunine continued on in silence following the katana wielding woman through the forest. Her thoughts turned to the events at Badon and she shook her head in disgust. Some power had flowed through the old man in her vision to transform an entire city into an army of skeletons while another power held them at bay. The matter needed looking into and she would have to unearth what she could.
The sounds of life could not be heard inside the forest, and that unnerved her to no end. Selunine watched the wood shaded passage warily, her violet eyes watched closely for any sign of peril. She found none. The passage through the forest remained silent until they reached a house and the songs of birds could be heard again. Selunine narrowed her eyes and warily approached the house with the others.

Soronuume followed Alexandria and Brianna out of the town. It was good to be back in the open air. The wood elf breathed deeply before hastening her step to meet the other two women.
She moved to cluster of trees. It was a good suggestion, so close to the town they would not loose their companions. Soronuume moved through the cluster, examining what lay above and below. Looking to Alexandria and Brianna she motioned for the two women to join her.

Subject: Meditation
Seluumiel closed her spellbook and placed it next to the other two books on the bed. She had spent a few hours studying the "Book of Unwritten Chronicles" and "Dragonology" before turning to her spellbook, It had been just after sundown when she began and now the waning moon was nearing its zenith. The moon elf returned each of the books to her bag before rising from the bed and moving to the balcony.
Faint moonlight bathed the balcony and in its soft light she seemed an apparition, moonlight made flesh. The silvery birthmark on her forehead reflected back the light shining like a star in the skies. Seluumiel closed her eyes as she welcomed the embrace of the Daughter of the Night Skies. In the light of the moon the full power of her goddess was felt suffusing her with a sense of wholeness, it was home.
"Sehanine tessa amin e' kalina'lle."
Spreading her arms the priestess threw back her head letting the power of Sehanine Moonbow flow into her. It was life. It was everything. She opened her eyes to behold the glory that was the night sky and soon became lost in its esoteric splendor. Minutes flowed into hours but the moon elf held still enthralled in her meditative communion.
"Amin diola Sehanine ten' kalina'lle"
As the closing prayer left her lips Seluumiel dropped her hands to her sides. Letting out a sigh of joy she remained in the for a moment longer. Still shaking with the meditative ecstasy she stared out into the night reveling in its splendor. With the moon just past its zenith she took a deep breath and turned from the balcony returning to her room.

The wood elf watched as the drow priestess refused the peace bonds and cocked her head to the side narrowing her eyes. She had seen the woman prove herself to be more than a treacherous cretin of Lolth, but it would take more than an afternoon ride for her to fully trust any dark elf. However if Alexandria did not bond her weapon she would not be permitted entrance. Spending another night in the wild, even with a drow suited her just fine.
Soronuume stepped forward to join Alexandria and Brianna, "I too will join you outside of the city if need be."
