Subject: Game Update
The unburdened wyvern hovered in the air for a few moment more before screeching and soaring in, jaws and tail ready to strike.
Calmly the mage began a spell as an arrow shot out off of the ledge, piercing the creature in the chest. It let out a shriek of pain, and its attack faltered, but only for an instant.
But that instant was all the time Quarlin needed to complete his spell. Two streaks of bright blue energy lashed out at the charging creature, flying unerringly through the open air and seeking the wyvern's heart.
The sound of the wyvern's screech pierces the air as it spins out of control, it's once deadly grace disappearing in an instant as the two botls slam into it. Without its wings keeping it aloft it begins to fall, crashing hard into the side fo the cliff face and disappearing into the rising mist below.
Meanwhile Raina clings to both her sword and the remaining wyvern's ankle with more strength than she ever knew she had. Heironymus watches, rope in hand, his whole body screaming in pain... yet he remains focused on his companion as the wyvern begins to respond to its passenger. Its wings struggle to keep it aloft as its head swings down at the dangling rogue. Its stinking breath and hot saliva struck her face as the strong jaws slam shut an inch shy of the mark.
Distracted as she was by the near miss, she was caught off guard by the piercing pain in her back as the wyvern's tale found a weakness in her armor. (hit for 4 damage) Her muscles burned in an instant as poison flowed into her body, yet somehow she managed to keep the presence of mind to keep her grip.
(OOC: 1 wyvern down. Hieronymus made his second successful save against the wyvern poison, but still feel a bit of the effects. Raina holds on... but barely. She has failed her first saving throw and taken some Con damage, but by sheer luck has maintained her grip. The wyvern is moving about half speed as it attacks and tries to rid istelf of its passenger. It is about 30' off of the ledge you all are standing on.)

Well, it's only barely still morning and I just got out of the shower.
TOday I will... do nothing constructive (except perhaps make some more bricks for my castle) until I have to leave for work at 5. Then, I'll have a 12 hour shift in which I hope to get 2 chapters of my novel done. I already have one of them in my head so if I don't have too much distraction... *looks at Skye* and nothing too bad goes wrong at work I should be able to do at least that.

You can use the rope like a lasso if you wish. It would basically be a grapple check (Using Combat Maneuver rules) with a -4 penalty to non-proficiency.
And the rope is not tied off. The half-orc was anchoring it, and is no longer doing so.

It wasn't. I got through a review of it and made ALOT of changes due to bad grammer, but got nothing written.
It's okay though. I got to hang out in chat and spend some quality time with some pretty cool Innmates. So it is all, as the saying goes, good.

There was an update on the 9th. It doesn't look like you've posted since then Shades. Characters are currently conversing about their next mission.
And as far as Thiferl goes... 3 days isn't enough time to complete a project, but some progress has been made. I will update your character sheet with your new spells today.

"Ah, you are assuming they will detect the ruse." He pauses a moment for dramatic effect. "When he receives payment, he puts it all in his personal treasury. He does not wait 3 days before doing so. Thus he will have no reason to suspect the source of the copper. Beyond that, the merchant himself does not know you. Only one of his six lieutenants has interacted with you at all, and he is the type that has his nose so far up in the air he likely didn't even notice who he was speaking to."
He looks across the table at the party.
"I won't pretend to know if there is another reason you were assigned to this mission. But I suspect that the Azure Lord wants you to know that your last mission was not without purpose, and that the Hand is more than just another bunch of mercenaries."
He pauses again, smacking his lips and leaning backa gainst the wall.
"But that is just my personal suspicions of course."
