Subject: Communication away!

Blowz looked around as the rest of his team did their own thing. Ammpe seemed anxious enough to head down to the room by herself before everyone else, while the rest waited around until they were ready. He called out just loud enough for her to hear. In his deeper-than-usual R destroying voice, of course.

" Ammpe, my frrriend! I know scouting ahead would seem like a good idea, just don't go too farrr... ok? We must maintain some sort's of communication, lest something....happens to you on your way therrre."

Blowz smiled, already feeling like he could fit the role well. He looked over as their team leader spoke to him about Dweebz. He nodded in acknowledgment, adjusting his big red furry hat as he does so.

Walking over to Dweebz, he put both hands on the mans shoulders and looked him straight in the eye.

"My frriend! Please, you are not assigned to us. Make leave now and find yourrr orriginal members."

In a quieted tone, he leaned in and spoke something only those two could hear....

Turning back around, he gave the gathered group a big smile.

"Alrright co-friends!" Good thing he caught himself, he knew that would of been too much for now. "I am ready. Shall we go?"

having vast experience of two man parties, just make sure the encounters can be had fun by both. i remember i played a shifter assassin/rogue and my brother a warforged barbarian. something that was super easy for him would be too hard for me and something tailored to my rogue-ish skills would be impossible for my brother to be involved in.

just keep that in mind but i'm sure you'd be all good ;p

lol damn yeah it would be much better if at least one more was there. My friend DM'ed my brother and I for two years and it was epic.

Blowz winced as Friend Computer "efficiently" made sure the rest of the reds around them were going back to their own business. Even Dweebs was trying to act like he couldn't hear anything, despite the fact he was at the table with them.

"Get to Section 168 of Sector SWR, out the door and take a left. NOW. Thank you for your cooperation."

Blowz knew when he might be pushing his limits on the Computer, and decided now to act "tardy" again. Maybe another time when this is well in the past.

Trying to practice rolling his "r"s dramatically, Blowz spoke up.

"Come my frrriends! Let's head to this Section 168!"

Adjusting his fuzzy red hat, Blowz grabbed his little tool box and stood up, waiting for his other teammates to join him.

I have certain sets of dice I use for different campaigns.

The game my brother DM's for my friends and I, I use my solid blue set dice with silver numbering for my fighter.

For my campaign that ended I played a shifter assassin/rogue I used a black set with silver swirls and white numbering.

In the current game I'm in with my dwarf Bard I use a gold/black/silver set for him.

I have an earthy black/grey set with green numbering waiting for my next serious campaign i'm in. I haven't used them at all yet :p

Subject: Be Glorified!

Blowz-R-Upp sat at the table adjusting his large red fuzzy hat, smiling to everyone here. He sang to himself quietly, a catchy tune stuck in his head.

Be glorified, united, the bulwark of happiness of the peoples!

He kept repeating that line under his breathe, unfortunately forgetting the rest of the song.

"Dah, how does song go again?"

Blowz sighed as he couldn't remember the rest of the verse.

He sat up straightening his back, his dusty brown hair poking through the bottom of his hat in some places and gave everyone a charming smile, nodding to his group members in acknowledgement.

He looked to the side as he came out of a stretch and noticed a man coming over, and he introduced himself as Dweebs.

Blowz was about to move his small toolbox for him to join. There should always be room for everyone, the more the peoples are together, the stronger they are, ya know?

Plus, if Dweebs really is lost like this then maybe he can show him some good reading material and then he'd have a nice place to stay and friends forever.

Before Blowz could make any move however, HE spoke up. The business like man named Slipp made a mockery of this mans need for community and togetherness! How rude, but his words did ring true when it came around to treason and Blowz figured it might be better to let this one go.

It seemed he was too beep in thought about whether Dweebs was going to move or not, but as he snapped back everyone was gone! No, everyone was just peeking under the table. He looked at Dweebs who was the only other one with his head above the table. Blowz leaned over quickly saying something to him, and then ducked his head underneath the table.

He heard the tail end of the statement, and smiled.

"I am here. I was keeping eye on extra at table, making sure he wasn't hearing anything about us down here at all. Most efficient, yes?"

He smiled again and nodded at his fellow citizens, speaking in a voice that seemed to be a bit deeper, and a bit slower out of the mouth.

"I am Communication Officer ya? Wonderful to be your Officer, most happy time for all!"

He nodded as he acknowledged everyone's roles, a tune slowly going through his head.

Long live the creation of the will of the peoples,
The united, and the mighty!

He was sure he'd slipped something up in that verse too. Oh well, he'll learn it all in time.

Just like a battle plan, nothing ever survives the first shot.

Always be prepared to think of stuff up on the fly. A good DM will be able to think up of stuff on the fly and come up with ideas.

Trust me, even if you have thought out of everything the players will find a way to bypass your "fullproof" game.

Now, also character creation will probably take way longer than you think as it always does so I try to have everyone have their characters done before hand.

And don't think of this stuff as intimidating, just make sure that you have some little ideas in the back of your head.

Also running a module might seem like a great idea but unless you want to sit down and read the module completely through I try to shy away from them, as it bogs down the game since the DM tries to flip through pages and pages of stuff to try and find the correct thing to do. If it's your own homebrew stuff then you know everything and can push the game along at your own pace!

*edit* ninja'd by Ginafae :p, and if you do like to do pre-generated stuff and just roll with what the players do then maybe that will be a better idea. I know I don't work well with modules, so maybe I'm just biased :p

Table top and forums both have their advantages, table top being social interaction with friends, fast paced gaming and all that.

Forums have the character interaction, roleplaying and detail that you can't get in table top.

Just like how with Ginafae, her dark elf cleric lady and my Gnome Xaris from so long ago. Some forum games are just written so well it's like a story you never forget :p

if it really is a great step up from 3.5 "caster edition" and a step away from the MMO table top.

If not, then I'll just torrent it all :p

reading some articles a while back about 5e, Wizards has came out and said they want to get more in touch with the throw-back DnD style of sitting around a table with papers and pencils and play an RPG, not a mmo on table. They're also taking player feedback from an open audience not closed, which I've signed up to try and get into already >.>

So, I feel 5e might actually feel like DnD should be and not the way 4e came across to everyone.

I've been thinking about DM'ing again on here in my homebrew world. I would really like to start a blog of some sort on the world building part and scan all my hand drawn maps up but I don't have a scanner so we'll see what happens.

If/when I do start DM'ing it'll be after I write a bunch of lore for one of the countries, so hopefully I can get working on that XD

This game was amazing and I had a lot of fun, but right now college is beating the crap out of me and I have no time do anything like this, I'm sorry to the new players and to Almerin, but I think it was good that we got through two complete story arcs from start to finish. I must say I really did love your zombie priestess crazy priest story, it was great!

Also Traubon is not lost I definitely want to use him again, whether online here or in PnP :p
