Xaris looked up to the tall woman, whos names was so kindly pronounced out. He smiled.

"It looks like we might be."

He looked at the ground, and up at her again. He wanted to make more conversation, but he just couldn't. He was also a little weary of this individual, of her human heritage. But also drawn to her by her elven looks. He couldn't make out which she was. Xaris felt uneasy about that, and slightly backed away, smiling at her to try an not make her feel uncomfortable.

Xaris stood next to the table that James was at, naturally hovering near some tree where could feel some sort of comfort in the big city. As soon as he started waiting though, more signed up for James and joined him and some others in this area.

One of the people who signed up spoke out, revealing her face a little more, being the same drow he had spotted earlier.

“My name is Aelistae. It would honour me to learn the names your mothers gave you.”

Xaris looked up at her, and smiled. She was brave to be exposing herself like this, but obviously she trusted well.

In a quiet, slightly shy voice, Xaris spoke up.

" my...My name is Xaris. What I usually go by if a full name is needed is Xaris Vhathei."

He paused to look full at her, and then smiled.

" I am glad to be with all of you."

Maybe it was because they shared dark skin, or because they both were different, but Xaris felt a slightly connection between him and Aelistae

Hunderel watched as everyone did either studied or walked further, but he watched outside in case anything decided to come at them. But soon enough, he started to feel foolish, and went in further.

Overhearing the decision about the light and following it, and seeing the new woman, he decided to walk towards it, great sword drawn at the ready.

As he entered, the sounds got stronger and the light was intensifying, looking like something out of a fairy tale book for Hunderel. But also, on one side of the room was a wide marble area. He decided to approach that first, to see what was up there. maybe something important or not, but it was worth the look.

( I will go look at the dias thing)

Right from the get go I knew Xaris would be for him, ties to his past wouldnt let him pick anyone else! Which by the way my history, I will get to you kaelyn eventually. But if I type it, can you keep it to yourself? I would like to keep some things unknown to the group until I choose to reveal it.

Xaris wandered through the city streets, collecting some stares as he went by. Its not every day that you see a gnome of his race walking around a city. Personally he despised them, they only being reminders of the life that was once on the ground the city now stood. It also reminded him of his own home city, one that did not tear down the woods, but went around. He was a Forest Gnome, and for 200 years he had lived in silence with his clan deep in the woods, until war had devastated the land around them, and drove many out of their home, with much death in its wake. But enough of that now, this wasn't the time to think about it.

Xaris was only here to collect a few supplies he needed, some new clothes and fresh food. Its not like he couldn't find food in the woods, it was just a better convenience to stop here.

He had bought a new green tunic, with some brown pantaloons, and nice leather shoes, brining him down a good amount of gold. But it was needed, as his others were, destroyed.

He had only spent a day here and he was ready to leave, to get ready to exit this horrendous place. But something caught his eye, a flyer. He picked it up, and studied the weird markings on it.

He desperately tried to make out a few words, but couldn't.

" Uhh, hello. can you read this to me?"

He tugged at the shirt of a wandering pedestrian, who in turn looked quite confused as to why a forest gnome with a mini great sword and armour was asking him to read the paper. But none the less ,he read it.

" Thanks."

Was all he Xaris said as he turned and left, walking off. maybe he would stay one more night in this city. Something had just tugged at a long forgotten and sensitive chain within his mind.

- The next morning -

Xaris woke up,and wandered back into the city, slowly making his way through the streets. He thought he might of needed an extra hour or two to find his way, as it is hard to get to a destination when you cant read.

Eventually though he found his way, the massive crowd of people drawing him closer. He quickly disappeared into the crowd, blending in at knee level.

He listened to the queens speech, and also to all four of the leaders who had their own gains. Only one really spoke out to him, one who related on his level. And that was James. They shared a common past, and that was they both lived off of the earth, and both had hard times keeping those lives stable. Only one of them had theirs crash into oblivion. But if he could keep Jame's life from doing the same, then something good was done. And also, just maybe, Xaris could be one step closer to redemption.

Xaris walked slowly through the crowd, pushing legs out of his way. He made his way up to the table, following behind a woman. He looked forward and a figure had de-hooded herself as a drow, right after they got inline.
Xaris winced slightly at the fiend, but then over heard her conversation, and realized that his immediate reaction was one of bad taste, for he was too a foreigner. After she was done, Xaris stepped up to the table, his head just making it over the side.

" Umm,uh, James. I want to join you. You seem like the only one with...uh... the truest and most selfless reasons. I wish to sign your papers."

Xaris reached for the pen and paper with his greyish-green hands and took it down to his level, signing Xaris Vhathei. He put it back and walked to the side, waiting to see who else might join them.

Loda's cup fell from her hand to the floor, the ale spilling its goldenly liquid all over. She stood shocked as the barkeep fell dead and something massive flew or ran by the window.

" Gothard, come here! Stay by my side will ya?"

Loda reached for her shield that was resting next to her on the all, and unsheathed her axe, wielding it with a deadly grip. If this thing is another mutant animal, she will have to put it down, for the rest of the forests sake.

She hustled towards the door, wiping her mouth of the recent meal and drink, and walked just outside the mouth of the inn, where Draven had just exited. She had seen Elessarae getting ready, and others too, but she needed to get a look at this thing for herself.

" Be prepared for anything, this is some serious damage for us not to notice right away."

Loda looked around at the bodies strewn about the streets, and wondered at even how Gothard hadnt noticed the mass carnage that was ensewing as they ate their morning meal. She wondered if even these people had enough time to eat their morning meal with their families. She hoped they did, as it was their last time ever together again.

In my opinion, I'm sure that the story and the characters all very awsome, it just erks me that they mixed two types of animation. That just calls for bad reviews. especially with those horrible cheap CG's

Everyone looked as the man spoke, and quickly rushed him onto a few tables pushed together. He was breathing, and as everyone calmed for a second, they got to know eachother a little better. Names were being introduced and spoken, and acquantinces being made.

Suddently though, breaking the momentary peace was the entry of the one who would soon be called Ralnalgo Naloke, and a priest. The priests eyes widened as he had seen the man on the table.

" Oh let me tend to this young man, may pelor guide him and let him see the mornings rise."

The young man, who was obviously just an acolyte, thought to himself for a moment and pulled out a vial underneath his cloak. A small cork stopper was pulled out of the wooden vial and given to the man who slowly drank it down.

" there, that should reverse the poison within you, and now for some of the healing touch of pelor."

The priest leaned out and cast a spell on his chest, easing the tightness and slight pain of the damage already mostly healed.
He looked over to Agela and smiled.

" I am assuming you were the one who healed him up before me Agela, I thank you for spreading the word and healing of pelor even further. I hope to see you again soon at the next sermon."

He turned and looked at the rest of the group, slightly bowing.

" I thank you all for calling for our services, the church of Pelor. I hope you have a pleasent evening, one not to much more out of synch with what you usually go through."

With that the man headed for the door, slowly opening and closing it behind him, some more air rushing between the cracks.

As everyone settled down for a second and talked more, they were shaken as the man violently sat up.

He looked around the room, and laid back down, looking to his side. He spotted Dog Fish, and signaled a wave to come over.

( assuming DogFish comes closer)

" I just wanted you over here to make sure someone hears me. This is for all of you. I give thanks for rescuing me, and giving me my life back, I will make sure to never work for them again. But I fear they all know me and my group, and would now try an kill us on sight. I want to strike a deal with you, all of you. You people have seen a great deal more than you should have anyways, so its perfect. There may be rewards in it for anyone, whether you are looking for mere wealth, or more. "

He sat up once more, rubbing his head, and draped his legs over the edge, now sitting on top of the table.

Well if I knew that a bugbear would of been this bad, I'll just change it. From Kaelyns opening post I had the image that some stuff was allowed that bordered the line on good/evil, but its no biggie to me, I'll just change it. I definetly will want to play some sub race of one of the main ones, maybe a wood elf or...some kind of gnome. I'm not sure. I do not have my MM's with me at the moment. But dont worry about any goblinoids, there gone now.

See, thats the magic of DnD. You can make whatever you want into real life. Like Kaelyn said, this is FR, Kaelyn style. He said we can use many different races that he had already created, so I do not see how being a bugbear could be different from being a fairy. They are just as different from the base races. And Maybe Kaelyn is making all of the people less racist and more accepting, and making the alignment more scewed and greyish instead of black and white. Everything in DnD is kinda like a big block of Clay, you can make it into whatever you want. even in the DMG, it says that the books are all just guidelines for you as the player and DM to follow and alter and use at your own expense.

well I like to play as hoblins or bugbears because they are things that i havent really played as yet. And they dont really need to be evil, i can make them whatever alignment I want. Probably CN. If Kaelyn says ok. And I dont want to play a human barbarian becuase that is just, boring.

Hunderel watched the dark forest with great intent, his sword steady in his hands. He heard the call to back up into the cave, and the movement of others as they started in. He waited for them to get a little farther in before he started to slowly step backwards into the cave, keeping his eyes on the forest infront of them.

Well it looks like the group needs a fighter, so I think I will be one. I thought about it and now I want to be a bugbear, is that alright with you Kaelyn? Level four is perfect, since they come with 3 levels of monster, and I can do one level of barbarian.

Oh and heres my paragraph thing.

The shadows dance and cavort around the clearing you have chosen to make camp in. The late autumn breeze fights the mediating warmth of the campfire to send shivers down your spine. Daybreak will come soon, but the constant feeling of hungry eyes staring over you is enough to keep you from some much needed rest. Gazing out between the silent trees of the surrounding forest, a fleeting glimpse of movement darts from cover to cover, shadow to shadow…

Vreksnarl poked at the fire again, the red hot embers floating into the air, just to fade away into the empty blackness that surrounded him on all sides. Surely this was the kind of dark that people talked about that came just before dawn. Here it is said when the worst things come out at night, and from what He has seen, that was true.
But none of these things really scared Vreksnarl, they just unnerved him. His muscles were cold and tense, his back fighting the early morning chill, and his legs sweating to keep cool. It was an explosion of the senses all night long as things kept him on high alert. But he dared one of these unfortunate creatures to come at him, he would crush with his massive great club and then eat it for breakfast. That only saved him time, instead of having to go and catch his meals.

A twig snapped far to his right, but closer than anything he had heard before. His first reaction was to grab one of his finely made javelins out of their home, and aim it in the noises direction. Slowly he got up, keeping the point towards the noise, his knees creaking as loudly as the trees in the quietness that suddenly befell him.

Another rustle out from a bush, a snarl and a yip, something was there... something that sounded hungry. But to bad for it that Vreksnarl was quite hungry himself.

He steadied his movements as he rose to his full height, the flames now licking at waist height, warming his lower body.

Another quick movement and a flash of grey, followed quickly by glowing eyes. Vreksnarls arm sprang forward like a catapult being released. The javelin flew through the darkness, the air making a quiet scream as it ripped it all the way to the target. Suddenly a shrill and loud cry of pain echoed through the morning air. Birds could be heard flying from their nests into the deep blue of the morning sun, woken prematurely from their sleep.

Vreksnarl walked slowly over to his kill, spreading the cold damp bushes out of the way to see a quivering body of what looked like a man.

Vreksnarl smiled slightly and bent down to expect further. Its ears were pointed, and body more slender. An elf! Vreksnarl licked his lips and started to drag the now limp body towards his dieying fire, the grey and white fure cloak of the elf dragging behind it.

" Aah, I see. Well a druid in both places will be a good thing for everyone then! Especially with this horrid disease running rampant, who knows how much help the local druids need."

Loda looks down as if almost saddened, thinking of the devastation she had seen. But also happy as she knows she alone has stopped some form of corruption, the red mist, and with group of trusted friends, toppled some of the biggest corruptions. That can only mean that with enough effort and teamwork, they could bring down this great evil.

She looked back up.

" But no matter what,I'm sure we and everyone else who helps will pull through this all together, with even more than we started with."
