Lheriel and Jeskell both stood on the deck of the ship, watching the vessel across from them sink to its watery grave. Behind them a commotion was in progress involving the mage who had set aflame the boat and also had taken the life of one of the passengers.

Lheriel thought to himself, and furrowed his eyebrows.

Clumsy fool, He should know how to control his power, and not use fire out at sea! It's common sense after all...


No sooner though when the thought crossed his mind he thought he had seen a shadowy figure appear in the blazing orange and red flames of the ship across from them. Lheriel was caught off guard and blinked, trying to focus more on this thing. But as soon as he opened his eyes, it was gone.

"Jeskell...did you?"

He thought for a moment, and decided to keep to himself, realizing how crazy he would of sounded if he tried to explain.

"What was that Lheriel?" Jeskell spoke up, curious as to what his friend was thinking.

" Oh, nothing, never mind."

A puzzled look on his companions face was all that Lheriel needed to see to realize that his friend did not see it. He turned around to the group, and watched the people argue and talk. Maybe they still had some fight pent up inside, and they needed to vent it. If the battle had dragged out longer, surely they wouldn't be at each others throats. But soon enough the captain brought everyone to order, and spoke.

”My worthy comrades, I knew you not well, but even still you did risk your lives to protect my ship…and its cargo. One of your number has fallen as well, in combat with these foul brigands and as such I can demand nothing from you. Despite your brash and thoughtless ways, mage, you saved my crew and I from what could have been death, and so I can demand no compensation from you for the minor damage you have caused my ship. I will however, ask one thing of you. We carry little cargo, but there is one thing we have aboard that is…special. It is my belief that the pirates you so dispatched intended to take it, although for what reason I cannot imagine. If you will permit me one thing, I must ask that when we do dock in Camatcha, you take it with you and deliver it to a man named Kaene you will find there. This thing maybe have already endangered enough lives as it is, and perhaps you are the safer choice to deliver it…”

Lheriels ears perked up at the sound of this proposal, and looked to Jeskell. He too seemed interested. It may of been the human blood that ran through both of them, but they wanted to see what it was and discover this new item. Quickly enough though the got their composure under control and agreed to take it to the man named Kaene.

" Captain, Jeskell and I will accompany this cargo here to this man named Kaene, along with anyone else who would want to go. If not for anything but to make the life of our one brief friend meaningful."

Jeskell nodded along and smiled, standing ready along side his well spoken friend and ally.

Xaris watched the blade swing back and forth, slightly intimidated by the very large blade. He swallowed hard, because he knew what he needed to do. He needed to get to the orcs and help bring them down. Taking a few steps back, he tried to jump past the blade. He wished that his companion had jammed the trap, but there was nothing he could do now except hope he could time it just right.

Our adventure begins in a small town nestled inbewteen the The High Forest and the Evermoor, around one hundred miles east of Yartar, following the road. Roughly seven hundred people reside here, mostly humans with some being of dwarven or elven ancestry. Drungelle is the name of this town, which is now finally being released by winters grasp, the snow finally melted away and trees starting to bud. A cold chill still haunts the air, but the longer days and brighter sun will soon quell this cold. It is here that we find our heros, travelling towards Drungelle, looking for a few days worth of rest and lodging, after travelling so long on the weary road behind them. Not much has happened since they left Yartar. There they had found good food and nice people, and hoped to find the same in Drungelle. Their ultimate quest still lingering in the back of their minds...

Four weeks ago a vision seen by all four of them in the early morning had them meet on the streets. It had called them to go their, something willed them to exit their respected homes and finally stop on the streets. Only a few things could of been picked out of this vision. A deep dark forest was the first thing they seen, evil looking eyes peered at them through the wood, a menacing presence could be felt over them all. Next were tall mountain peaks, shear rock and snow, thousands of feet jutting into the sky. And the last, a large, dry, windy desert, the gust whipping up sand and rocks, and one very large, dark mass moving slowly towards the sword coast. they couldnt see through the sand but whenever it moved the earth shook and a rumbling sound echoed off of the sand dunes. Slowly on the large flank of this dark mass an eye opened, slit like a cat eye and red like blood. A shrill screech echoed through out their minds and then the visioned zoomed out at a tremondous speed, over looking the sword coast, woods burning and cities crumbled, water running with the colour of crimson.

Their minds blacked and they awoke, standing in a square. They all felt compelled and overwhelmed, some brought to tears, other fell to their knees. A voice whispered in their heads...

Go to Drungelle, your first challenge will be there. Stop at Yartar on the way, they will tell you where to go...,



That was four weeks ago, and now they finally made it. Drungelle. A half a mile outside of town, and they almost missed it. A path meandered off of the beaten road, and a felled sign was quickly spotted. It pointed out to where Drungelle was, and it was the sign they were told to look for in Yartar. They travelled down the path and soon found themselves heading towards their destination. Small hills dotted outside with one cattle ranch outside of town. Behind it a few miles is the High Forest.

As they entered the town, they got a feeling of comfort and hospitality. It is much smaller than Yartar and the small community made it feel more personal. They walked on the one main cobblestone street, which was flanked by houses all the way down. They could see the other end a well, and two streets veering left and right in the town. It they could get a birds eye view, it would look like one big T. the street that headed left ended in a Large church, and the other a well looking Mansion. Soon infront of them a lady appeared.

She was clothed in black, cotton dress with leather shoes and a dark veil. She approached them slowly with an old man arm in arm with her. He was well in age, showing clear through his wrinkled skin on his face. He wore a pale yellow robe with a symbol upon the front of it. This was a blooming rose on a sunburst wreathe of golden grain. He held a staff made of gnarled wood in his right hand, and the lady in his left. They finally came to the adventurers, who had entered past a small village of hovels that resided directly outside the town.

The woman spoke through her downed veil.

" We welcome you to Drungelle, a small and cozy town that makes you feel right at home, no matter who you are."

She looked at the faces of each adventurer, looking from Raolonlo, Karlana, Mourn, Brendella, Aramil, and then even Maximillion. She looked at each one with a deeply saddened face, but tried to hide it. She looked at herself, and almost looked like she snapped out of a trance.

" Oh my, I bet your wondering why I am dressed like this. Well, its a sad story that I must tell you. But first I need to say that we need your help. Four of our beloved people have vanished. There names are Tren, Wenta, Jorsh, and my nehew...Ristim. They all have vanished. We have searched and searched but do not know where they are. I think it's just bandits wanting a ransom, and I expect to get one soon, but the parents of these young people wanted action now. I didn't know what to do, I am just glad your here!"

She takes a step back, and looks to the ground.

" Oh, I am sorry. You people have just come here and now I am throwing all of this at you. I probably just detered you away from here. I'm sorry let me properly introduce myself. My name is Venithia. And this is Dunalel."

They both smile and nod, greeting the party. Dunalel raises his wrinkled hand from her arm and speaks slowly.

" I would just like to thank you for coming to our town and as I have already been introduced I would like to add I am one of the priests of Chauntea that live here. I know Venithia has said everything that is needed to know to you all, and before you turn and go away from this sudden attack of information I would just like to say that there is a reward we have pooled together. It was going to be the possible ransom, but they dont need it."

He smiles and blinks slowly, as if age is slowly creeping up on him, ready to take him at any moment.

Xaris watched his fellow party members take the orbs off of the wall and also the trap fall. Putting two and two together, Xaris quickly became interested in removing the rest.


" Maybe it was set off by the orbs. Remove them from the walls, and if you dont mind, hand me one too."

Being all to short for this task, Xaris draws his greatsword and waits, looking down the path where the trap was sprung. Who knows what else could of heard this scythe trap.
