Roscoe chuckled a little bit at the little dragons act.

" I'm sorry Flame, you really are a true dragon. Pseudos could never breathe such a fiery hell like you."

Roscoe trotted along with the group, and looked around.

" So Lorae, what kind of evil is this in these woods? the kind we could kill with a good blade, or the kind that we can only stop the spreading of, such as an evil god of sorts?"

I was just wondering what was the craziest end to a campaign youve ever had? My very first character, a lvl 10 cleric named jozan ( can you guess where I got my name from =P ) and my brothers elven warrior, also level 10, were in a pyramid, and Jozan had gone insane, and with his holy mace, collapsed the room they were in, killing him, and mortally wounding the elf. What makes this really insane is that there was a tribe of super-orcs after us, who had drank sludge waste from a downed alien craft! geeze that was fun lol

"Well said, Roscoe," replied Lorae, "and I meant no insult about being part mule. It is just that I hope no one else heard of it, and talks of it. Come ride with me, and if you have any questions I will endeavor to share what I can."

Roscoe smiled and trotted up next to Lorae.

" I thank you for letting me join. You wont regret it. And no, I dont have any questions, whatever I need to learn will come up with time. Now the same goes for you, any questions about anything, I am here."

He looked up to the rest of the group and nodded.

" I thank you also for letting me join, if anyone has any questions, I am here."

Eskavan looked up and meowed, and Roscoe looked down, and reached into his pack, taking out a bit of food, giving it to him. He nibbled a bit then looked at flame, and shot back down into the saddle bag.

" Dont be afraid eskavan, I'm pretty sure that it wont hurt you."

He looks up to the party.

" Who owns that beautiful looking pseudo dragon? He wont harm Eskavan...will he?"

Roscoe looked over at the elven woman who spoke to the one named Logan. He recognized the white horse that he had seen in the manger last night. He scanned over the rest of the group before she spoke out to him.

"What is your name and where do you come from? And besides being a Magic User, would you by chance be part mule?"

Roscoe looked at the elven woman and smirked a little bit, shaking his head slightly. He trotted up a little closer to the group, to get in close so they could talk normally, instead of shouting.

" My name is Roscoe, Roscoe Strakeln. And I come from no where, and everywhere. See, I dont have a place where I retreat to in the night, or stay in the day. I am a wanderer, I go wherever I feel is the best for me, and do what I can to make a living."

He seen her glance down at Eskavan, and smiled.

" Do you like him? His name is Eskavan, he's my familiar."

He pats his horse on the head and scratches between his ears.

" His name is Luster, a fine horse and a great companion. And to answer your question, no I am not part mule. I was simply sitting a little to close to not listen in. But I am one of the streets, and the books. A sorcerer, and a rogue. Now I think you will find my services helpful in your little quest. Now what was it, a sword of some sorts youre looking for? An epic adventure you all are on? I am asking to acompany you on such a travel, and I will be sworn to protect you all, since if I do join, you will be friends, allys, and the closest thing to family that I will have for how ever long this last."

Subject: It begins...

Roscoe waited until the last of the group exited the inn. He did not want to be spotted following them out so he sat at his table, and sipped his water.

Watching the one named Brianna finally leave the inn, he wondered where their friend, the dwarf had gone to. He waited for him to arrive, but seen the two woman start to ride off, and finally decided enough was enough.

He took one last strip of bacon and ate it quickly, and started to leave the inn. Wiping a strand of black gangly hair out of his face, he reached back and pulled up the dark green hood to his cloak, and set out.

That morning was a little nippy, so he pulled his cloak around him tighter, and walked over to the Manger to get his horse. Walking in he could see a few horses were already gone, and assumed it was the groups horses that had been taken. He walked down the corridor to the other end of the building, his leather boots the only thing making any sound as he walked acrossed the wooden floor.

" Easy boy its only me."

Roscoe spoke out to his horse as it backed up a little to his approach, so he slid his hood off and looked into the horses eyes. His emerald green gaze met the horses soft brown stare and the horse calmed down, letting Roscoe pat and pet his neck and body.

" Have a nice night there Luster?"

He looked down, and seen the black cat that was curled up in a pile of hay.

" How about you Eskavan?"

He smiled as the cat yawned and stretched out,and ran over to him, looking up with his yellow cat eyes. He bent down and picked him up, and he started purring as he placed the cat in a specially made saddle bag, and the cat poked his head out, looking around.

Roscoe started to lead his horse out, its dark brown coat shining in the morning sun. He stepped one foot up and swung his leg around, mounting his horse, and looked down the southern road at the group of adventureres.

" Well, it seems as if I've found us something to do for the next few weeks or so. Their on some sort of quest for a sword, about a prophecy or something. No doubt lots of treasure and adventuring to do with those fellows. Well, off we go then."

Roscoe starts off down the southern road, and quickens up his pace to catch up with the group. Eventually he finally gets within shouting distance to the people.

" Hello there! I know you dont know me, but last night I over heard your conversation about what you are doing. Do you think I could join you in your quest to find this sword or what ever you are finding!?"

Roscoe trotted a little closer, his spell book and various gear bouncing along his horses back, and gets a little close to talk with the group, waiting for what they all decide on.

Subject: Loda the pin cushion

Loda looked up from the spike potruding out of her belly, and couldnt believe her eyes. Even with her hardened skin, and own armour, she still gets skewered like a pig. Gothard growled a bit at the Troshba, but looked up in time to see Loda get bathed in a healing light, and watch the spike fall out of her. Alyssia had just cast her own spell, with Loda looking over, giving a weak smile and a gentle nod in thanks.

Loda looked up just as an arrow pierced Troshbas side, and smiled at its pain. She then snapped back into reality, and finally decided to heal herself again.

Taking out one of her cure moderate wounds potions, she tore out the stopper and downed the liquid in one gulp. putting the vial back in her pouch, she reached down to pick up her bow and arrow, and once more try an down this vile beast that has given her so much trouble.

( Ok Loda is going to drink a cure moderate wounds potion, and try an get a shot off at Troshba, thats if i have enough time to do both in one round. If not, then I want to just drink the potion)

Loda looked down at the falling spike, just now realizing how grievous her wounds were, and glad she could pull the spell off in time. Being a little shaky, she could barely stand up as she regained her composure, and seen Alyssia coming at her. Also two of the party members were taunting the beast, distracting it from her. She became slightly annoyed at her self for having to have all of these people protect her, she was a fully capable dwarf and could handle herself just fine.

“Not really fair, Gunar… us always pickin’ on the big monsters. Poor things never seem to know what’s coming.”

Tobin spoke out, words that would surely irritate the beast flowing freely from his lips. She quickly looked around to see where Gothard was, and he was behind her, looking up at her with his big wolfy eyes. His gaze eased a little as he knew she was better, and then casually walked up to her right side, his back making its way underneath her right hand.A few droplets of blood stained his coat as a steady stream of dark red blood raced its way down her arm, and onto Gothard.

"hey flying monkey reject come down here and fight like a ape.trashball you have to be the weakest thing i have ever fought that attack couldnt kill a ant. here nonscary whatever you are trashba exactly what are you you have to be the weakest of your kind no wonder you need us to bring you food. come here so we can get you death over with"

Gunar spoke out, desperatly trying to get the beasts attention, as he waved his axes around, ready to strike a blow at any given time on the beast Troshba.

Loda thought for a moment and started to cast another spell. Not wanting that to happen again, she started to cast bark skin on herself, and hoped that would be enough to weather another one of Troshbas deadly spine attacks.

I hope you all understand my decision in attacking the creature, I couldnt just let an innocent creature be used as fair between a mountain pass, especially when it was going to be eaten by a magical, unnatural creature

Loda felt the jagged spines slide easily into her body, and she instantly fell to her knees, hearing her bow and arrow drop to the ground. Gothard started to lick her face and whine, and Loda slowly stood up, wincing at the pain, her knees wavering beneath her. As she stood she seen one of the party members run infront of her, shielding her from any more attacks. It was Gunar, and he spoke out to Troshba.

"Hey rocks for brains you many have tooth and claw but im going to cut you into little pieces and leave them for the animals to get.You are not worth my time but I have to kill you dont worry it will be quick you will barely know what is happening im sure with your pebble sized brain.Tell me where your nest is and I will take care of your children also so they dont have to go motherless. You are nothing you are less then nothing I could kill you will one arm behind my back but I am in a hurry sure I will have to kill more then you today and they will be better then you in every way."

She looked to the side, wincing as the needle like spines moved slightly with every step she took.

She heard Alyssia speak out, and then seen three white magic missiles fly from her finger tips.

"Dear Lysora, please forgive me for what I am about to do and forgive my companion for his brashness."

Loda walked back a few steps, and started to chant and move her arms around, and tries to cast a spell.

( Loda will try an cast Cure light wounds, and then we'll see what happens)

Loda smiled as Draven spoke out, ing his neck and other random body parts.

" I will slip behind."

Her smirk quickly left her face as she seen Alyssia speak out.

"Fine! If no other person is willing to take the trek down this blasted hill and back up, then I will do it by myself. I just need a few coins and then I will be off. I most certainly have none of my own as I gave them to those that have more need of them."

Ignoring Alyssias ignorance to the imminent danger of the group, Loda drew out her longbow, and knocked an arrow. She knew not to trust the monsterous beast and her tricks, and Loda knew that the thing would just try an kill them after they gave into her demands or not.
She kept the bow aligned with Troshbas chest, the largest part of her body that is facing her, and drew back the string. She spoke out with her eyes still trained on Troshba, and the arrow aimed directly at the beast.

" Now what beast, will you let us pass or not? By the end of the day we will be past this silly little place, and on with out lives. Now whether or not you are still alive, or , is the only thing that could change. So make your decision now, live and let us go, or die, leaving your children motherless and starving."

Loda turned around at Alyssia's words.
"That is enough, Loda,we are not here to do violence. Besides, as a druid, you should be seeking a balance. In nature, there are predators such as this that must eat, even if it is not to your liking. Now, a peaceful resolution has been given us, so let us see if we can find the owner of those cows that we had seen and ask to purchase one."

Loda started speaking out towards Alyssia, flicking her braided hair, loosening up her neck. Tension and stress was getting to her, knowing that someone or something was going to die today, just not knowing who was what angered her.

" Dont tell me what I should be doing as a druid. I know well what I need to do and what happens in nature. But the key word there my frind is nature."

Loda looked up at the creature for a split second, then back towards Alyssia.

" This creature here isnt natural. Its an abomination that goes against everything druids all over stand for. Things like that monster up there kill the creatures of nature, and that is one thing I cannot let happen. If she wants that cow, that living, breathing, natural cow, she's not getting it from me. I shall not partake in any killing of an animal that did absolutely nothing to deserve such a fate as to be eaten by an unnatural, spawn of hell as this one. Especially by her offspring."

Loda looked across the rest of the group and Alyssia again, and faced them and the monster.

" I know the importance of getting through this mountain pass. And that just slaughtering an innocent cow is much easier than killing it. But Do you really want to waste many precious hours of sunlight just to have to camp out in the middle of these mountains, where who knows what could pop out and attack us? Who knows she might fly down and try an kill us in our sleep, after she's fed all her children. Now do you just want to go now, but have to fight a little bit, or walk all the way back, waste a perfectly fine cow, and then have to hike in the dark through mountains? Who knows how we're getting the cow anyways. We'll probably have to buy it off of someone, and if we kill her, we wont have to do this ever again, and no one else will either! Who knows who we will be saving from the evil jaws of this creature that refuse the same demands that we have been asked!

Loda took a deep breath, her face losing the slight redness that it gained during her little speech. She looked at Alyssia and the group, hoping they would all see her point, but knew full well that what they decided would innevetably be the final decision.

Loda was feeling quite annoyed that this creature demanded one of her living breathing creatures as payment for passage. She would never like to help or be part of the death of an innocent animal, especially one as simple as a wandering, carefree, bovine. But what really annoyed her was the fact that the thing that was asking her for the cow was a hideous abomination that deserved to be slain right where it stood. Gritting her teeth, Loda quickly answered back to the " Troshba"

" Why should we believe that you will let us go, and that you will not try an devour us just as we have the poor cow. It makes perfect sense that something like you would try that, tricking people and creatures in doing what you want them to do."

Loda thought for brief moment, a wry smile spreading across her lips, and looked back up to the waiting creature.

" And why do you wait for the cow? Why dont you try an eat us? I think youre afraid of us, and that we could walk right through here without you even moving, besides, what good mother would throw themselves into danger while she has children to tend to. Unless of course, you are one of those mothers who doesnt care about their children. If you arent, then I think you should just let us walk through here anyways, and no one, not even the poor cow you wanted, will be harmed. "

Loda petted Gothard a bit and patted him slightly, and started walking down the path that they needed to continue down, not wanting to waste any daylight. But she kept a hand close to the hilt of her dwarven war axe, half expecting the winged beast to attack at her from behind.
