They pour the elixer down the mans throat, even with the struggling and the gurgling of it in his mouth, they get enough of it down. For a moment it didnt look like anything had happened, but his fits died down, and he stopped moving all together.

For a momenent everyone thought he was dead, but then, they seen his chest moving up and down. He was sleeping! His tantrums and fits had caused the man in the dark leather to become very tired, and he was quickly sleeping. For now it seemed the anti toxin had worked, for the moment. The group did not know how large of a window they had to get him some proper healing.

But for what little peace they had together, introductions and plans were being spat around the room.

The bartender stood up, and sat on a chair, wiping his brow.

" Thank Pelor you people were here tonight, or this man surely would have died, and the assailant had a sure fire get away. But now we might have a chance to get him. And if theres anything I can do, its go get the priest. Some of you might not be locals, but I am. I know almost everyone in all of PortsView, a lot of people come here, since it is the only tavern in town. And if he wakes up from his nap, you guys could talk to him. I need a break from all of this too. Hey one more thing, my name is Harold."

Harold stood up and took a deep breathe.

" I will be back with the priest, you people stay here. If you want a drink, help yourselves to the bar."

Without even finishing his last word he was out. It was obvious he wanted to leave from the beginning and that he was uncomftorble in such a situation.

When Harold opened up the door to the tavern, a rush of cold air came in and with a loud slam to shut it, woke the man up.

His eyes fluttered open then squinted and sucked in through clentched teeth as he grabbed for where he got stabbed. He then relaxed, realizing that there wasnt as much pain as before. He felt better than before, but his blood felt like there was ice running through it, and his chest throbbed.

" Wha...what...who are you people? Wheres that rat bastard! I'll kill 'em!"

The man tried to sit up but fell back on his back and was breathing heavily, but still concious.

( woo! You guys get 100 xp each for rescuing the guy)

Loda looked at her as she spoke and brought up a point that she wasnt sure if she had gotten or not.

" I be a druid, if ya havent noticed yet. If you dont find one here, you can always fall back on me!"

Hunderel took the potions in his hand when they were given to him, and he studied to vials that he held. He then slowly put them in his pack and looked at the gift giver. He gave a silent nod and a smile and then looked into the mirror, and magically went to the woodsy scene, with the elven rogue being the last one to step out behind him.

His first instinct was to go for his greatsword, the howling reverberating all around him and into his head. He didnt want to think anything of it at first, and just looked around at the darkness.

The only thing that made him worry as he and his companions looked about was the growing howling coming near. He wasnt afraid to defend himself and his new companions, and was ready to fight to the death first. He was used to fighting alone and fending off assailants who outnumbered him all the time. But that was all before he settled down. So having someone to fight with was a nice change, and one he would fight for to keep.

He slowly unsheathed his greatsword from his back, wielding the massive blade in two hands, bringing it up to rest the middle of it against his left shoulder, the faded spiked breastplate armour the only thing keeping the sharp blade from cutting him. These were his pride and joys, his armour and sword, and sometimes the only things to keep him company, or give him protection. He did have one other ability, a last resort in a tough situation, but one he would not hesitate to use if needed. Kord only knows how many times he had used it in the past.

He seen his companions take up defensive positions in the mouth of the cave. He being one of the martial prowess moved to the center of the mouth of the cave.

" If anything comes out of these woods, let me take them head on. You can get around 'em when they lose their element of surprise."

Hunderel raised his greatsword into a readied stance to take on any enemies, and concentrated on what he could hear, since faded light limited his sight. If anyone was going to take the brunt of the attack, it would be him.

Loda looked at the young Sylvari with a smile, remembering her youthful days as a slender beauty who could get any man she wanted, then she remembered,

She was still living those days!

She gave a chuckle and snorted, covering her mouth. She looked at Gothard who was on his back, with a look of embarrassment on his face.

" Oh get over yourself Gothard, your no better."

She listened as the others spoke up about drinks and seat offerings and names. Geim and Thondrek both spoke up first, with this new girl announcing herself as Elessarae. Loda spoke up next. She stood up, braided long beard and long black frizzled hair back in a pony tail down to her lower quarters all waving around.

" Welcome little girl to our party, you may ignore the slight arrogance of some of these dwarven men who are now crowding you, they apparantly have gotten used to this dwarven beauty over here."

Loda smiled and laughed.

" My name is Loda, and this is Gothard, my friend and companion."

She patted the head of the black wolf with the grey underbelly.

" I am glad to meet you, another one who cares so much about the woods as I do. I hope to see this blight gone, as it has sadden me so much."

Hunderel stood quietly as they moved into the next room, and listened as he made his speech on what their objective was. He just nodded and silently accepted the mission. He didn't feel the need to explain himself was necessary, but he did feel the need to make the mental observation about the racial balances within the party. Was it on purpose that it ended up like this? Does he trust elves more than anyone, especially humans? And one other question popped into his head. Does this put him in danger of being taken out because of the minority factor? Even though he thought all of these things, he still would take the job. Something new had to be done instead of that stinking dock work. Besides, he really didn't like that guy in the thigh huggers.

"Come on .. come out .. you have hidden long enough from their eyes. Join us. I have work for you all. Very important work. Come in and have a drink, play some dragonchess. I will explain it all when our last guest arrives shortly from the garrison."

Hunderel walked slowly into the light with his hands to his sides and his blades sheathed.

Well I guess my nosy-ness just got me into some sort of happenings here

Hunderel smiled at the thought of something new finally happening.

He slightly strode into the house and looked around at the very exotic and eccentric items that were around them. He stood instead of sat, not wanting his spiked armour to rip any of the fine upholstery. He smirked a bit and waited for the man to speak of what they were here for.

While he waited he looked around at the other two, and finally got a good look at them.

One was a large half orc who looked as if he had worked more jobs than just hired muscle. He had a slight feel around him that he had gotten before, but that was around people who worked as thieves and sneaks.

The other was a dwarf, but with obvious lacking. He had no facial hair, not even a beard. Horrid scars covered his face, but Hunderel wouldn't put anyone down on account of what happened in their past. If this dwarf had the misfortune of having his beard burned off, then he didn't need any other ridicule.

Hunderel stood outside watching the sky, wondering what the docks will have for him tomorrow. He sighed and pushed off the pole, getting ready to go home, when he seen two hooded figures walking in a hurry out of the Feral Dog.

Where is everyone going in such a rush, usually people don't start leaving for a couple more hours. Something is different about tonight, thats for sure. First those three adventurers, then cloaked mystery men too. This is more excitement than what I usually get at the docks

(assuming the two follow)

Two more figures come out of the Feral Dog and go after the hooded men.

Hunderel just shakes his head at the oddities of the night and walks after them slowly, his small house shortly up ahead.

Hunderel watched as the three travelers warped out of the tavern. His eye brow twitched at the arrogance of the three. Well atleast the one big man. Comes in here, disrespects authority, wriles things up, then leaves abruptly.

I hope I never see those guys again, those arrogant bastards

He turned back around and finished off his mug of ale and stood up, stretching. His armour, making some metallic noises as the spiked breastplate rubbed against itself.

Well I guess its time to step out of here and head home for now.

Hunderel started for the door, slowly walking out of the Feral Dog, well fed and tankard up.

When he stepped outside, he leaned up against a beam outside, letting the fresh, smoke free air rest his lungs.

"You know this guy here what got jabbed?"

Were the first words that broke the silence since the stabbing.

" No, I don't, I didn't know either of them."

The bartender looked around the room at the people who started to move, and got up.

" I have to go make sure my daughter is O.K, I'll be right back."

He rushed inside just as the most recent patron who just shook the chills off her shoulders and an elf who looked as if he muttled in the arts of the arcane both reached the side of the downed man.

The elf bent over to cast a spell after he made it aware to others, and detected a small trace of very lethal poison within the gushing stab wound.

The woman started to say something out loud that they all could hear.

"Pelor, great and mighty sovereign power of all that is good and holy, I beseech you to save this man from this horrible fate that has befallen him. I call on your healing power to provide help where it is most needed"

The wound closed fast and the bleeding stopped, a large scar left in its place. The Man gasped for air and was clinging to his throat when he came to life. Barely clinging on and with the poison still flowing through his veins, the man was suffocating to death, again.

The other two patrons either stood or sat and watched as the event went on, waiting for some questions to get asked

The bartender came back in and stopped in his tracks.

" I thought he was dead, quick! Someone do something, he 's choking!"

The Bartender ran over and stumbled over a chair slightly, a rag in one hand and a bottle of some unknown drink in the other.

That night the snow was gently falling, smoke was trickling into the sky from the chimneys of all the warm and comfortable families, and candles were being lit to chase the creeping dark away. The night was a normal one in the small town of PortsView, the local Inn checking in guests for the night weary from travels, and the Church giving its last sermon. But one thing in the small tavern called The Nights Delight would change the image of PortsView for years to come.

Inside The Nights Delight

From inside The Nights Delight looks just as warm and cozy as it does from the outside. With six or seven round tables in the middle of the big room, and a bar across from the entrance, and a flight of stairs leading down below the establishment to the right. A fire place on the left side warmed the place up, with a crest hanging above the fireplace of a Scythe and a Hay Fork. No one really knows what it means, everyone assumes it is to represent the hard work and good harvests that PortsView's surrounding fields haul in every season.
At the bar sat a burly half orc, sipping the last of his first drink of the night. He had found the tavern that night, and decided to give it a shot. So far it has done him good service, and the patrons around him didnt seem to mind his orc heritage, even though the constant orc threats on the Island of Ghein.
Sitting at one of the tables closer to the fire was an elf, one who seems to dabble in the arts of the arcane. His black hair contrasting with his green eyes, he sipped some of his water that he had, and enjoyed the warmth and new found silence of the tavern.
Across the room, sitting at a table next to a window was a young female human, whos face looked as though she was in deep thought gazing out the window. On her table was a glass of finely brewed tea, something that the tavern didnt carry frequently. Lucky her they were in stock.
Suddenly the door to the tavern opened and a gust of cold air sent a chill down everyones spines, no one was expecting it. In came a woman, who quickly sat down at the nearest table. She had just come from the last sermon of the Church of Pelor and was looking for a warm and filling meal before heading home. Being a cleric of Pelor meant she frequented the church a lot, and this was often her second destination.

Sitting in the middle of the room were two other in patrons, one a scraggly bearded looking man with nothing but some burlap clothes on his back. The other figure was a man sporting a black studded leather vest, with a cloak and a hood. It looked as if they both were engrossed in a heated conversation, both were leaned into the table talking in fast whispers.
Then something surprising happened. The scraggly man stood up, his chair skidding out from behind him and falling on the floor attracting the attention of everyone in the bar. The man produced a dagger in a moments notice and plunged it into the chest of the man in the cloak. Blood spurted onto the table from the wound, and before anyone could react, the attacker was out the door.
The bar tender stood shocked and called out to his daughter.

" Sarah, stay in the kitchen, dont come out!"

He started to run towards the bloody man, knocking a table over in his wake. He got to him and looked him over.

" He's dead..."

He looked around the rooma the patrons with a stunned and worried look, waiting for someone to move.

Hunderel looked back as more people entered the tavern. He was almost done with his food now and thought it was a good time to leave. He turned around and spotted the two companions of the big man bustling about getting ready to leave.

Whate are they in such a rush for? Its a nice night at the Feral Dog and everyone seems to be having a good time.

He kept an eye on the three newcomers, watching for something out of the ordinary to happen. Besides the big mans clothing.

Subject: And it begins...

Hunderel Ghundun sat at the bar of the Feral Dog, his favorite place to relax and eat after work. The work that he did wasnt the most stress free of Diamond Lake, but you got to make some coin somehow. He basically was hired muscle for the dock tenants. He was hired a year ago to work temporary down there, but he eventually grew to the job, and the dock tenants grew on him because of his intimidation. when Hunderel was in full battle gear, he looked quite scary. His spiked breastplate armour and greatsword slung across his back was a force to reckon with. There were also rumors that spread after a certain incident that Hunderel was more than just human.
Once about seven months ago, some thugs were trying to steal food and weapons. Probably for some under-nourished gang that was trying to keep it up on the streets. Well Hunderel found them, and they tried to resist. Hunderel was badly wounded in the beginning of the fight as a thiefs blade slipped into his side. He screamed out and then he seemed to slip into a meditatated state. Moments later he tore into the thiefs with more ferocity than any of the dock workers have seen before. All that as left were piles of bloody masses on the ground, almost indestinguishable after the horrendous damage with the greatsword. Hunderel stood over them, armour blood stained and sword soaked, and then walked off, holding his head and slowly dissapearing into the night.
Ever since then, people have whispered behind his back that there was something more within that man.
But tonight, that memory and more was suppressed by mugs of ale and a hot meal. He reached up and scratched his chin, realizing he was about a few days over due for a shave, but thats ok. He just wanted to get home and get all of this gear off of him, today wasnt even anything interesting. Well except for these new faces walking around town, which one was sturring up the entire tavern as he ate. He just ignored him and ate, back towards the crowd and the man speaking.
He thought to himself as he broke off a peice of bread and dipped it into his stew.

If I ever end up wearing anything as tight and skimpy as that man is, I'll throw myself off the docks

He shook his head and continued eating, silently listening to a growing argument.

Someone must of interrupted Mr. Heros story time. Good for them.

Huderel smiled and listened intently and ate, waiting for something to possibly escalate out of control.

While Loda sat there and decided on what to do, Thondrek came up behind her and spoke.

"If ye need be for personal use, I'll buy one of ye druid potions from me own wealth, seein as the party treasure seems ta be for hoardin fer a rainy day. Would 30gold cover one of yer elixers?

She smiled, still feeling some of those womanly feeling towards Thondrek, and couldnt resist his offer.

" Sure Thondrek, here, you can have one of my stronger potions, you look like the hardy type who needs the extra
healing over those weaker potions.

"Thanks lass. Might save me when ye or Geim cannot one day."

She smiled and nodded as she thought once more on what to buy with her new found wealth.

"A pony is needed, and I think the rest of the party are going to buy mounts. But I really do need to resupply my ale skins."

Geim came up to her when she was thinking. He was another good looking Kord who could keep her attention for however long he wanted.

"Loda, remember I owe you a drink, lass and I think my coinage would spread to a first round for everyone so long as nobody chooses anything very fancy."

She nodded and smile again.

" Oh yes, you do dont you. Well I'm up for it, as long as everyone else is. Well even if they dont want to, I'm still up for a round or so!"

She chuckled and smiled, waiting for what the group wanted to do. As she did this she thought over what she needed to get.

" Ok, I need to get a pony, thats for sure. I dont want to be stuck trailing behind. And since Geim is getting us some drinks now, I'll replenish as many as I can at the bar. I'll get some good stuff so Gothard doesnt feel like he didnt get anything.
