Hmm, well if I have to play a storm trooper because we're in the republic army (i'm totally ok with that) I'll play some sort of basic Riflemen most likely. If we can be from any background, like we're mercenaries of some sorts, then I'd like to be a scrounger/street scum sort of guy who's worked his way up with dangerous odd jobs to afford a weapon and gain some martial/fire arm skills to further his eventual merc career. Essentially, he only survived his first few jobs by pure luck / chance which gave him his footing to become actually good at what he does.

Sweet! Everyone here is more than welcome in. Like I said just PM me ideas over the coming days and we'll get this ball rolling. If you want to, do a little research on faerun and the area, adding some depth to your character on the region they'll be in will definitely make for a richer role playing experience.

Alright, I'm going to be starting a game after being convinced to GM (wasn't that hard  ) I'm looking for 4-6 Level 2 pathfinder characters. 25 point buy, with 750 gold to start out for gear. any gold left over will not be carried over in game.
The setting? Faerun. Area? Tethyr. Time? a year before the 3rd edition "current" year. This means the Civil war in the area is still in full swing. And even though we know who wins in the end, that does not mean it's guaranteed. Anything can change.
Just pitch me an idea for a character and i'll give yay or nay before anything.
Posting frequency would be preferred twice a week, and We don't need huge novels with insane detail. Three paragraphs will suffice for everything. I'd love for a game to go more than a month before fizzling and I feel more activity in it will keep it fresher and alive.
A few players in the other thread have first dibs (Kamina, Fin mac cuel, etc.) but plenty of room for others! any other questions, please just ask.

So for characters. we'll go with level 2, 25 point buy for stats. just pitch me an idea for your character and i'll approve it with yay or nay. The setting will be in Faerun, set a year before the current 3.5 time line. Based around the area of Tethyr. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask. Starting gold to buy supplies will be 750, and any left over gold will be discarded.

If no no one wants to DM, if you give me some time I might be able to come up with a simple one shot just to get something going. I've been wanting to DM for a while, I'm just hesitant since I don't have the best track record for reliability. But my schedule isn't so crazy anymore, I'm thinking that I can find the time to at least do this.

pathfinder is definitely not like 4th. The differences between pathfinder and 3.5 is that the PC's are a bit stronger, as they get Feats every other level instead of every 3. They also have almost all the same skills, except for stealth (which is move silently, hide, and I think sleight of hands all rolled in one), and Perception (which is spot and listen, but can also be used for any other ways you can perceive things).
Also the classes are a bit more balaned, a fighter isn't as weak at higher levels as a spellcaster is.
The thing is though, the monsters are all a bit stronger too, to compensate. So it all balances out.

To everyone who's games I'm in or who I'm playign alongside, I haven't been able to be online at all the whole weekend as my house still has no power. My town was one of the hardest hit with flash floods over the weekend, and so far one person had drowned and others are missing. It's very bad and I'm staying at a friends house, fortunately only 2 or 3 feet of water got in my basement as my house sits higher up than others on our street. I'm at work now where I can only check on for about 10 or 5 minutes at a time, but I figured I'd drop a line to let everyone know what's going on.

Alcorel put one foot in front of the other, walking on auto pilot as his thoughts brought him to far away places. Would they find ancient magics like the rune they watched Nel cast? Would any of it even be what they need, and would Nel even be alive when they found her, if they found her again?
It was easy for him to get lost in his thoughts, his mind always on one topic or the other. The rustling of the grass in the wind and the repetitive thump of his spear while he walked with it creating a somber noise he could day dream to. He almost bumped right into Ninefox when everyone stopped, and then a scream.
He broke from his day dream and scanned the scene in front of them, a rugged looking cluster of tents and a tree looking ripe for a fire. Originating from the wagon was the scream, obviously a woman captured by these short titanspawn that littered the field in front of them. As everyone kept low and out of sight, he listened to all the plans, nodding along as the persons spoke. Tasso had a solid idea, and was quite right about Alcorel's magic, it was quite loud along with himself.
"I agree with Tasso, a plan like that sounds solid and puts the best of our abilites to use. I'll try to put some of the titanspawn out of action quickly with a well placed color spray."

Ok, I'm probably gonna cast mage armor while i'm on the hill, and then i have color spray for when we get close, and I have summon monster I. I also have divine metamagic so i can expend 2 uses of turn undead to extend my arcane summon monster I so it lasts 4 rounds, so we can get some friends. I can then do the same and extend my divine summon monster I to make it 2 rounds, or i can save it to convert to CLW, while i cast bless.
Then I'll take my Masterwork mace and join the fight. or my spear.
