The night went well for everyone, they going to their respective stays, whether it be at the dream catcher or with a friend, the next morning came none the less.
The sun rose, and a light snow covering the ground. In the town center stood a man with a black cape and hood. He waited, pacing in circles, with a small satchel sitting on the ground. He looked nervous, as if waiting for something or someone to arrive. He gave one long stare at the Dream Catcher, and then went back to pacing. He looked to wear the same outfit the man that they saved last night wore.

Xaris concentrated hard as he ran. Now was the trial of fire for him, the first time he can prove he is worthwhile, and prove that he can save an innocent. This woman needed to be saved now, and if she was to die, then a little bit of him would go with her.
He charged at one of the men, his feet pounding on the ground, his heart racing. He threw all his weight into the swing of his mighty sword,and slashed the man across the chest. Liquid crimson began to flow across his blade and the man, blood touching the mid-days air. Soon though, he was quickly surrounded by two men instead of one.
With ducks and weaves and flicks of his wrist, he and his mighty blade dodged the fruitless attacks, and quickly Xaris would show them the price of failure.
He hefted his sword and underswung at the already wounded soldier, hoping to bring him down, lessening the blades swinging at him by one. He would keep on attacking until he was dead, then attack the next clueless enemy, obviously not knowing what he had gotten himself into.

Xaris looked at Elesia, and a worried expression came over his face. He wanted to get close into battle, to help this woman, but he did not know if Elesia felt the same.
" Please, Elesia, we must ride quickly, before battle is already fought and won without us!"
Anxiously he almost leaped off of the horse, but waited to see what she would do,watching the others speed ahead.

Thuv watched as the little gnomish thing charged his ally, and was fired at with an arrow. Quickly he moved forward to D10, and switched to his crossbow, dropping his flail at his feet, and took aim at the one called Riva. He tried to aim his shaky arm, the woman already swinging high at someone. He squinted, and fired.

Then Hunderel shook his head, shaking off a slight head ache.
" Oh wait, nevermind. I must of gotten them confused with actual things, I remember they were just paintings now."

Irosent moves into the arena, and spots his ally and another, small creature thing, standing inside. He quickly moves to B7, and unsheathes his flail and heavy wooden shield, taking a readied stance next to his partner.

Xaris looked with a raised brow as the supplies in the back of the wagon were put into the small hole that Elesia had thrown to the floor. Soon the cart was emptied and they detached it from the mare, deciding on to ride cross country, through the wilds. Xaris smiled, as that is what he wanted to do. Riding through the woods would be a nice throw back to this city, and maybe they will be able to run across his old home...
His home, something he didnt want to think about right now, his face squinting up, rubbing his forehead, as if he was trying to message the memory from his mind. If only he could forget that dreaded night, those horrible people, the fate that was beset on his family...
Xaris looked back up, a slight from on his face. He listened as the others finished up the conversation on how they should travel, and watched as two horses came from the trees. Two great white horses strode to them, and Xaris stepped back slightly. The large beasts startled him for the moment, but thats it.
He smiled at Elesia mounted one horse and motioned for him to come towards her, wanting him to ride with her. And all this time he was wondering if he should walk or ride in the wagon.
He started for the wagon, until a loud noise was heard, and 12 men on horses wearing dark colours rode by, calling them a rabble, and was heading straight for them.
Xaris contemplated throwing a tangle foot bag at them, but decided not to, and dove out of the way.
Regaining himself, he got up, and walked over to the horse, and tried his best to mount the horse.
" I am ready whenever you are, the woods await us."
He felt safe with this woman, who was elven in her looks and grace. He had a feeling it wouldnt be such a bad ride.

As the man waited for them to react, Dogfish closed in slightly, but not to willingly, just to show the man he couldn't be ordered around like some lap dog. But none the less he still came closer to hear the offer that was made, as did the others, their curiosities peaked by one thing or another. The man smiled a wry smile as they closed in, and he started to speak once more, in a lower, more quieter voice. Harold went into the back room, and tended to his daughter.
" I am grateful that you all saved me. This is one thing that cannot go without rewards. I have something for you, but not in the form of gold, jewels, or even women. I have something much more valuable. Information. I know things that could unravel all of society within PortsView, and rattle the cages all the way up in Neverine City!"
Slowly, the man regained his composure, and settled down.
" I must tell you this, for I fear I might die within the next few days. I will be hunted until killed, and it is the fate of these people that are after me that are now in your hands, if you can handle it. That man that stabbed me, he was no mere commoner. He was apart of some underground crime group that has a good amount of power in the region. All I know is that they hired my troop of mercenaries to guard something very valuable deep in the Jhairn woods. A cave of some sorts, with things inside. Things that I do not know, but something valuable enough to make us guard the only road to it. On the ancient road into the woods, four miles in, you know where it just cuts dead? The other side was found. I have a map for it. Take it."
He reached slowly into his pack, and takes out a small piece of rolled parchment, and leaves it on the table.
" This will tell you how to get to the other section. Follow that and you will find what the group is hiding. I give you this info for who knows what treasure could lay inside it. Tomorrow you should go, soon it would seem that more of the men will come to see what my fate had been. I give you a warm and safe farewell, and hope you find what I think is out there."
He gets off the table and starts to walk away, then turns, and reached into his pocket.
" Oh, and you can use this tonight. Its a room to the Dream Catcher. And if you don't know thats the inn across from here. Theres two beds, enjoy."
He puts the key on a table, and walks out the door into the cold, windy night.

Xaris walked through the streets, looking at all the stores, and entered some of them, purchasing some things he thought he would need. Some thunder stones and tangle foot bags looked like a good choice, and after his out around the market, he decided to head towards the gate.
He walked towards the gate, well where he thought the gate was atleast, his first time being in this city. He asked some people who pointed him in the direction, and he started to make his way towards it, back pack and what little gear he had on his back, along with his sword, javelins, and on his side a new sling with some stones.
