Physical Description: 6'4", 185
Kordar's hair is dark gray. He has dark orange skin. His eyes are a dark brown that can be mistaken for black, if not in direct sunlight. All of the hair on his head is pulled up into a topknot, a note of his monastery upbringing. He looks like any other monk but his presence alone gives off something that is just not right. His fighting style is sporadic but deadly. Few seem to understand this before it is too late.

Personality:
Having lost the only place he knew as home, and not knowing where to go, Kordar cares only about a small amount of things. Those are: doing whatever it takes to survive, doing whatever makes him happy, and keeping those alive that are with him. This last thing goes back to the first one. Keeping those around him alive however much he might hate it, should help him survive longer. He holds few people in high regards and would rather fight then work things out. After losing his home of the monastery, he has often been seen intentionally starting fights out of boredom and/or drunkenness.

Subject: Gronz attempts a prison break

The main door to the wing housing the newest prisoners slammed open as it always did when someone was bringing in meals for the captives. Something was different this time though, the foot steps sounded heavier than the usual guard's and this time the door was shut behind the person entering as opposed to being left open like many of the other guards did. The usual trays of horrible prison rations were slid into the cells, but this time a gruff voice was heard to ask, "Any of you prisoners good with locks?" (Assuming Airion speaks up.) The figure on the other side of the door then attempts to pick the lock of the cell housing the offender who spoke up, whispering a warning, "Don't speak too much, we don't need to draw too much attention at this point. Who I am is unimportant, just know I was sent by someone who wants you out of this prison."

((If the lock is not too complicated for Gronz to pick himself he will loan Airion his picks in order to unlock the other door assuming that he would be better at opening doors than he was. If the lock proves to be too much for me, then I'll ask if the rogue thinks he could manage to pick it from his side of the door and pass him the kit.))

Bran quirked a brow and, again addressing no one in particular, asked, "Where did she come from?"

Subject: blunt

I believe what Deuce means is that the use of magical darkness as distraction would be more of an attention grabbing tactic, especially when there is a vicious dark elf slicing people open or poisoning them within the range of that darkness. It may not be blunt per say, but it sure as hell would draw more attention than the unarmed guy sneaking around in the shadows.

Subject: sleepy Bran

Bran snapped out of his sleep at the sound of Faroak pouncing from the trees onto an unknown female figure. He had dosed off while lost in his book, which sat open on his thigh under his hand. He quickly marked the page and stuffed the book back into his pocket and rose slowly to his feet using his cane for leverage. He looked from Faroak, to the girl, and to Cain, then back to Faroak and speaking to no one in particular asked sleepily, "What'd I just miss?"

((Sorry I've been kinda MIA on a lot of this, work takes first priority after all, and with one of my coworkers leaving I'm getting more hours than I was before.))

"I will leave the paperwork to my shorter companions here, as the business is their dream, however it seems you dodged the other questions I had asked, could you possibly provide those answers before we take our leave?"

At least one positive had come out of this ruse though, they knew that something was leaving the warehouse tomorrow and when it was leaving. That meant if the goods they sought were being moved tomorrow they now knew when to expect that movement.

Where exactly would I find the Chaos Monk class/variant? I'm not familiar with the class. And aren't Hobgoblins usually Lawful, a chaotic one would require some explaining I think.

Subject: Impatient Echo answers

Echario had never liked having to be the voice of a group, yet it always seemed to happen that way, and it seemed these fellows were going to require him to do some talking as well.

He stepped forward, pushing past the shorter members and bowed before addressing the gentleman at the desk, "My good sir, what my short friends here would like to say is that they have been in the market for a store front in which to open a smithy of their own. They had been hoping for something at the waterfront in case of some fiery mishap, and it seemed only reasonable that perhaps we should ask other business owners how the location would work out. Is traffic through the area sufficient to keep business steady, is the area relatively free of crime, and most importantly, is there another smithy around that would provide competition to my associates?"

He knew he had asked far too many questions at once, one of his many nervous habits when being pushed into being the mouth of a group. As such he paused and waited to see how things would pan out at this point before seeing about perhaps getting a tour, which would allow for a better idea of the layout, and give them a chance to hopefully locate the goods and formulate a better plan.

Be sure to PM the final sheet to me rather than posting it. I would like to know where you found those domains, just for my own references. And I really don't think you need to worry about the Drow, they are sworn to allegiance to the Group just as you are.

I don't see why not, he clearly has fiendish heritage. As for domains, I would just recommend that you choose domains that grant you powers and spells you'll find useful personally.

Also, I am still hoping to get at least one more player in this game, so if you have friends or acquaintances that you can drag along please ask if they'd like to give it a shot.

Subject: Typical Bran

Bran had kept his distance when Faroak had asked to speak to Kari-Bliss, it really was none of his business anyway. Instead he pulled out the leather bound book he carried with him always and opened to the page he had last left off on. He was so lost in the book in fact that he never heard any of the telltale signs of their conflict, the raising of voices, or even the shattering tree and accompanying scream. Once he lost himself in a book he was dead to the world, and this book in particular had always held his interest more than any other, no matter how many times he read it cover to cover.

Bran shook his head, not only could he not believe she was still keeping her ankle a secret from the others, he was shocked to hear her suggest that anyone other than her sleep in the tent with Cain. He looked over at her concerned and replied, "I'd rather like to be able to wake up in the morning. I don't trust what he'd do to me in my sleep, and I sure don't want to find out what he would do if he found us in the same tent. I know you hate the idea, but it might be best if you took the tent with him, you are family after all." He avoided the topic of her ankle, and chose not to address her obvious concerns about Cain finding out because Faroak would probably still be listening anyway, and they could not afford for him to find out and blab to Cain. Cain would not only be mad at Kari-Bliss for not telling him, he would be furious if he found out Bran had known and not said anything.

Subject: Orion Group take 2: QA

Still not quite ready to get things rolling on the game since I'm waiting on a couple character sheets still, but I figured a QA thread was as good a tool to keep interest in the game alive as any other.

It is assumed that your group has worked together since being recruited, so you all know each other, at least to the extent that some of you will allow others to get to know you. I recommend that you take the time to make use of this thread to discuss your characters here and determine just what you allow the other characters to know about you. Obviously you can see sheets in the character thread, so you know statistically what each of your comrades can do, and you have the brief paragraph regarding personality. I omitted the background and motivation parts of the sheets for a reason, since some of our more self serving members may not make their background as well known to the rest of the group as it should be to me. Talk amongst yourselves and decide just what your character has told the others about himself (or herself) and maybe even collaborate to come up with some personality conflicts that have come up during previous missions. Basically I am giving you as players a chance to further flesh out the group dynamic before the game itself gets rolling. This will also allow other players a chance to see just how the group supposedly operates and give them a chance to find a niche to fill.

I can't say I am even remotely familiar with the setting, but I loved reading the CYOA books growing up, I would read and re-read just to see where the different choices would take me. I'll definitely be lurking and voting on this when I notice updates taking place.

Bran shook his feathered head and let out a short sigh that sounded more like a chirp. He surely couldn't shift back now, not sitting in her lap as he was now. He couldn't talk to her in this form though, not like they surely needed to.

Bran, still in crow form, dropped down on the arm of the couch and cawed again. He resisted the urge to shift back for several reasons. First off he knew he had been followed, and the cat would be listening, secondly he knew shifting back would leave him breathless and weak, and he had left his cane when he came after her.

Bran had found it relatively easy to catch up to her and keep up while flying. When she ran into her home he flew in after her, and perched on the back of the couch, cocked his birdy head to the side and let out a low caw to get her attention.

Topic: Orion Group take 2
Subject: Oh and another thing

Just a heads up, I am working on multiple plot lines that the group will follow depending on decisions made in game. I will allow, to a certain degree, some very underhanded dealings by the PCs. This meaning that if you are sent to deliver a message and ordered quite strictly not to read it, then you may choose to read it, but the story will shift slightly based on the choice. Same goes for being sent to recover some long lost treasure, you can choose to attempt to pocket pieces, keep weapons, etc etc, just PM me your intentions to keep the shady dealings in the shadows.

I'm hoping for a Role-play intensive experience, without too much Roll-play going on. That said, if you write me a very very impressive post trying to bluff your way out of something, it may give you a bonus on the Bluff check that would surely be involved. This does go both ways though, If you just give me something simple like, "Bob tells the guard that the goods aren't stolen he just found them. (bluff check)" then chances are the bluff check will get a penalty or at the very least the guard will get a bonus to sense motive, if not both.

I'm weaving a story of intrigue, in-fighting, and intra-guild political drama. I think if we can all pull this off then it will be great fun, or it could just get tiresome. So that said, if you are growing bored with the way things start going once the game starts, then by all means PM me and let me know, I'm open to suggestions to make this fun for everyone.

Trying not to draw attention to himself or the group Echario casually makes his way across the street so as not to appear to be heading anywhere in particular. As he meets up with the group he is rather shocked to see the Halfling already starting to open the door. Something did not feel right, but he knew trying to fight out here in the open would not be a good idea, so he went along with the flow of things.

Subject: Thanks Dreen

You've done a great job of helping answer questions and the like, thanks for the help.

As for the questions being posed specifically, Warblade is fine, but since the class requires a lot of training I will need a great background to allow it. As for the Warrior, if you mean the "generic class" then I'm going to have to say no. Standard Fighter will do, however if there are racial class levels, I will consider allowing that.

Also, I know I allowed 2 Drow thus far, but the LA limit is +1. Not +2 as Dreen said. And also, single HD races only. No bugbears, minotaurs, ogres, etc. The group is leaning highly toward stealth play as well, with the exception of the caster, and even then he's Drow so sneaky-ish.
