I know, this update is way behind schedule. I apologize for the extended wait, I just have a lot of personal matters going on right now that kept me from updating in a timely fashion.

As Crowe made quick work of the undead foes nearest to him with the help of the human's hammer something bright caught his attention out of the corner of his eye. He turned just in time to see a burst of flame strike one of the zombies and it did not take much effort to determine that the flame had come from Morrigu's direction.

A Mage, great, this one gets more and more dangerous with each passing hour, but I suppose it should not come as a shock...

Magic really did not phase Crowe as it may many others, he had grown up on the road, and had seen a great many things in his travels. He knew magic was not inherently bad, because some of his "family" had in fact also had a trick or two up their sleeve much like their ebon-skinned companion.

Crowe pushed the thoughts of magic, family, and even the dark elf to the back of his mind for the time being, there were other things to tend to in the here and now after all.

((Basically Crowe is choosing (for now) to ignore the elephant in the room in favor of finishing the task at hand. The Elves had been saved, the zombies defeated (if there are any still standing he'll move to finish them asap), and they can get back to the task at hand after taking a moment to wipe away the foul smelling entrails they've been showered in... Also, some healing may be in order, and possibly a long rest.))

Subject: Not dead! (3 round update)

Mattias, his line of sight obscured by the thick fog takes a moment to reload his pistol and then waits to see what his companions have planned to deal with this new development.

Since you have no way of knowing what the Druid is doing at this point I will not go into detail, but her turn comes after Mattias and before Savis, so she gets a quick mention.

Savis, knowing that his webs can cover an area similar in size to that of this fog bank, invokes the magic of the Dream Spider's Webs once again and hurls a luminous blue net over the area. His aim is not quite centered, and some of the web is outside of the area of the fog, but the majority of the web is now covered the foggy area.

As with the Druid, you do not know what the Monk is doing without being able to see him, so no details, just a brief mention during his turn.

Iara once again focuses on her Sylvan magicks and invokes the light of Will-o'-Wisps, sending 4 glowing orbs floating into the fog bank. The combined light if the 4 orbs is more than enough to cast shadows against the enveloping fog cloud. Among the shadowy silhouettes of the tables, bodies, and fire pit the figure of a lone standing body can be made out near the far left edge of the cloud. Where the other two foes have vanished to is anyone's guess. (with the illumination I will lessen the miss chance, but not do away with it completely)

Zick, realizing that only one foes is available, chooses to conserve his bombs and instead produces another tanglefoot bag from his pack and hurls it toward the shadowy figure. The bag strikes the target square on, bursting and showering the foe in fast drying alchemical goo. (Nat 20 on the attack roll to hit, so I removed the miss chance for that throw, and did not give the target a save vs the entanglement. After all, good things happen on a 20!)

````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Mattias, upon realizing that if only one target is visible within the cloud then the other two must have fled into the cabin, takes off at a full sprint toward the back of the cabin. Just as he rounds the back right corner he spots the druid moving along the back wall as if to head around the corner and meet up with the other shadow on the left side of the cloud. However he is too tired from the run to take a shot so he presses his back against the corner out of sight until he can steady his breathing to be able to take a shot. (full run, no standard action remaining to take a shot)
The Druid, having heard the Plumekith running and breathing heavily turns and chants the incantation for a spell. (full round casting time, which is lucky for you, because I had actually resolved it this round and it was bad...)
Savis steps over closer to Zick and the shadowy figure, eager to once again inflict pain on his enemies now that he was feeling much better after the kiss from the pretty elf-lady. Experience and common sense told him that as far as the fog was concerned there would be a chance to miss with a conventional attack, and so he opted for an ability he knew never missed; a trust Magic Missile. The glowing projectile strikes perfectly, as expected, and the rough voice of the Hobgoblin can be heard cursing as it strikes. (max damage, 5 points)
The monk can be heard cursing and struggling against the contents of the tanglefoot back, but is unable to break free. Unfortunately prolonged exposure to Savis' Dream Web does not seem to have any effect either.
Iara focuses on her "wisps" and moves the 4 of them to the monk's location, so as to further illuminate his shadowy form. (With all 4 lights putting off light equivalent to a torch I will rule that the light pierces the dense fog and removes the miss chance to hit.)
Zick, noticing that Savis was still looking rough around the edges even after his magical kiss with Angel, taps the young Beast Mage with his Wand of Healing and heals more of his wounds. (regaining 11 hp, Savis is now at 21/30)
```````````````````````````````````````````````````

Mattias drops to a knee, peers out around the corner of the cabin and lines up a shot on the chanting Druid. With a loud crack of burning powder the shot strikes true. (7 damage)

Completing her spell through the pain of being shot the Druid points at Mattias and suddenly at his feet a viper appears, striking at him with fangs dripping poison. Striking before the Aasimar could rise back to his feet the viper's fangs sunk into the meat of his thigh. (1 point of damage, saved vs the poison, so no additional effect.) The Druid takes advantage of the distraction caused by the snake and flees around the corner of the building and out of sight once again.

Savis steps forward, close to the table and focusing on the searing pain of having been lit aflame just mere moments ago, conjures a similar burst of flames and directs them at the entangled monk. The cone not only engulfs the monk, but ignites the webs as well, reproducing the same noxious vapors that he and Zick had unleashed on the bandits. (7 points of fire from the cone, another point from the webs burning, and 3 points of wis damage)

The monk, again struggling to break free of the goo Zick covered him in slips in a puddle of melted goo that had not yet re-hardened and falls prone just as the goo hardens again with exposure to oxygen. (poor fool rolled a 1 on the check to break entanglement)

Zick, seeing an opportunity he cannot pass up, hurls another bomb at the now prone AND deaf monk. (no save as he's prone dealing 14 damage)

I know I have been rather lax in my posting, I'm going through some pretty serious personal matters, and my PC may or may not be running hot again, and so I've been using it less and less to prevent frying another processor as I don't have a backup anymore. Fog Cloud is a 20 ft radius, so 40 foot diameter. It covers all but a single corner of the table that was on your right and extends about 15 feet past where the fire pit is on the map.

Subject: Given current circumstances...

((for now, I will continue updating one round at a time, there is the issue of Savis' hp, and Mattias is firing from 2.5 range increments away and into melee, taking a -10 to hit.))

Mattias, pleased with how well the tactic has worked for him thus far ducked once again behind the trees, poured the powder from his powder horn and dropped a round into the barrel before whipping around and lining up his shot. The chaos of the combat going on between Savis and the two high ranking bandits proved to be too much Mattias and the shot ended up off target. (Roll of 5 +9 to hit makes 14 -10 makes 4)

The bandit that had previously moved out of sight once again stepped back up behind the robed caster and started her own invocation. As she spoke the final word in a language none of you recognize a billowing cloud of fog spreads from the point where she stands and envelops the trio of bandits and young Savis. All four are completely hidden from sight.

Shortly after Savis come sprinting out of the thick cloud and rushes right over to the most comforting thing he can think of, his beautiful traveling companion Iara.

The only sign of the bandits at this point is the gruff voice of the Hobgoblin screaming and cursing in Goblin. Though someone may have expected him to come after Savis he did not.

Iara attempted to calm young Savis, placing her hand upon his cheek while moving in to softly bring her lips to his snout, healing the young Beast-kin's grievous wounds. (healed for 8, bringing Savis back into double digits at 10 hp)

The appearance of such a thick fog caused Zick to curse under his breath, his usual cheerful demeanor vanishing as he realized he could no longer see his targets. He tried as best he could to hurl a bomb at the location of the wounded spellcaster, aiming at the point he remembered her standing. A flash of flames briefly revealed silhouettes within the fog, and the screams from the Hobgoblin made it clear that the bomb had struck him rather than the intended target. (no save for the bandits, as they would have been unaware the bomb was coming until it was too late. 12 damage to the Hob, 6 to the blue lady, fire damage does not phase the robed caster.)

You have no way of knowing what is going on within the cloud and what the fiery haired caster may be doing.

((Given the change in enemy tactics I think a pause for a discussion on your next move may be in order. Iara recognizes the spell cast by the blue lady to be Fog Cloud, and she is fairly certain this caster is a druid based on the way she casts))

Sorry, her left, your right. I had turned the map to see things from the perspective of the newcomers. As it stands no one can see her presently. She'll be back soon though.

...So this combat didn't go quite as well as it could have, but hey Savis is alive, 10 hp of his 30!

Kamina, the range increment on the pistol is 20 feet, so every additional 20 feet beyond that range imposes a -2 to hit, as you are firing from so far back you take a -6 to hit. You have to be within 1 range increment, 20 feet, for attacks to resolve against touch ac. Without Precise Shot you also took a -4 penalty for firing into melee. So far your bonus to hit has overcome the penalty, but with a total -10 you would have had to rolled crazy high to hit your target.

Nomad, I know you've mentioned a couple times having to worry about hitting an ally with your bombs, so might I suggest a Discovery to fix that? "Precise Bombs" allows you to prevent splash damage in squares occupied by allies, as seen below.

Precise Bombs

Benefit: Whenever the alchemist throws a bomb, he can select a number of squares equal to his Intelligence modifier that are not affected by the splash damage from his bombs. If the bomb misses, this discovery has no effect.

I know the fog cloud is a dirty trick from the Druid, but they ARE bandits, they aren't exactly worried about fighting fair.

You can make a 5 foot step as a free action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity (which incidentally is why you did not get an AoO on the Hobgoblin.) Once you have stepped back you are out of threat range for the foes and can retreat as needed. You can get to either available healer with a single move action, so if you want to step back, try a spell, and then move away you can certainly do that too. Your turn is also before either of your foes, so you should be fine to make a clean get away, assuming the monk does not catch you before someone can heal you.

At the point where we left off both enemies that you can see are at a point where you would splash Savis.

Savis is wise enough to know to break away from melee as quickly and safely as possible.

Throwing a potion is probably not the best option, as it could result in lost potion. The wand is touch range just as if Iara were casting. It is entirely up to the two of you which one will be moving in to save Puppy.

((I have rolled new initiatives for everyone involved in the combat, so turns will resolve in a different order this time around. If you want to tweak tactics after the first few rounds (if needed) then just post to that affect.))

Ever quick to act, Mattias ducked behind the nearest tree as the new trio of foes emerged from the cabin. He quickly poured the required powder and bullet down the barrel of his trusty pistol and lined up a shot against the robed figure. With a thunderous crack and spark the igniting black powder propelled the projectile forward, where it connected with the woman's shoulder, causing her to flinch as blood stained her robes. (2 damage)

The leather-clad figure clutching what appeared to be a fragment of bone chanted and gestured, clearly casting a spell. As she uttered the final word of the incantation all three of the new bandits briefly appeared wracked in pain as jagged shards of bone protruded from their joints. She then moved to the left and stepped around the corner of the cabin where she was now out of sight.

Savis, or rather Omen, focused his mind to the time he had faced down a steam mephit with Ace, recalling the burn of the scalding vapor and how it seemed to cling to his fur. Stepping forward he positioned himself by the fire pit and let loose a similar cone of scalding water vapor. The Hobgoblin seems almost to smirk sadistically as the vapor washes over his scarred muscles, barely phasing him in the slightest. (-1 hp) The Ifrit on the other hand seems much worse off from the attack, she doubles over in pain, looking light-headed and off balance. (while she took no damage due to her natural fire resistance, she did fail her save and was sickened for 3 rounds.)

The Hobgoblin now stepped up to Savis and struck out with a mighty front kick, catching the Beast Mage square in his chest. Savis doubled back in pain, the wind knocked from his lungs, but the adrenaline kicked in and he was quickly able to recover, though he would have a nasty bruise from the chain shirt being kicked so forcefully into his torso. (12 damage, which coupled with the axe wound from before puts Savis below 1/2 health, for anyone keeping score.)

Iara, from her safe spot within the woods once again uttered the magical incantations and did the arcane gestures to conjure yet another illusion. This time she sought not to blacken the sight of the bandits they were fighting but stuck out with brilliant flashes of color and light in an effort to distract the foes. While quite lovely looking the results were less than expected by the Faerie as both of her targets easily realized the flashes were illusions. (made their will saves to disbelieve, apparently my die likes rolling some will saves, sorry.) Cursing again under her breath the she Elf stepped out of the cover of the trees and back into the clearing, moving so she could approach the required range for her next trick.

The Ifrit, still reeling from the blast of steam, steps forward to engage Savis, who once again instinctively strikes out with his rapier. The blade strikes at precisely the same location as the bullet fired previously by Mattias, and Omen wrenches the blade roughly as it strikes, tearing robe and flesh alike. (crit for 10 damage) Screaming in agony she raises her hand up and lets loose a cone of red hot flames, which engulf the young Beast Mage. (another painful blow to Savis, who failed his Reflex save and took 11 damage. Leaving him with 2 hp. On the plus side, since the Ifrit was using her racial burning hands, Savis has now learned how to cast it as well, at the same potency she just hit him with.)

Zick, seeing his new canine friend in danger rushes forward from the tree line as quickly as his short legs will carry him and hurls a thunderstone where the Ifrit had previously been standing, knowing that that point of impact would leave "Puppy" just out of the area of effect, preventing him from accidentally deafening his new ally as well. As the stone strikes the packed earth a thunderous boom sounds forth and both the Hobgoblin and Ifrit clutch their ears at the sudden boom at such a close vicinity. (both are now deaf, which imposes Init penalties, and a 20% spell failure chance.)

((Given that it is really late and I have to work in the morning, and the development with Savis taking so much of a beating, I'm going to call the round for now, you can post if you like or I can update more tomorrow with what I have already. I already assume that as the group's designated healer that Zick will be attempting to get close enough to heal Savis asap, however if that isn't correct please feel free to correct me Nomad.))

Impulse, feel free to back post. That goes for everyone else too.

Nomad, the crossbow question really depends on the crossbow in hand and feats known by the weilder. I had the bandit load his hand crossbow as a move action, and fire as a standard. Your splashbow is more in line with a heavy crossbow and would take more effort to load and ready.

So with this update it is time to ask, how does everyone feel about doing the combat several rounds at a time? Would you rather continue to post one round at a time and have true and full control over what your character does from round to round, or do you prefer the pace of setting some guidelines and then letting me interpret as needed to keep combat flowing?

Iara had just been mentally patting herself on the back with how well her latest trick had accomplished its goal, when to her shock and dismay two of the three bandits reached up to attempt to remove whatever was covering their eyes, only to realize that in fact nothing was there. With that realization the blackness vanished and the bandits were again able to see. Iara cursed under her breath and ceased her concentration on the spell causing the final orb of blackness to vanish as well. She once again approached close enough to attempt to befuddle the mind of one of these mortals and sent out a disorienting curse at the breastplate wearing bandit at the left table. Once again though the curse seemed to have no effect and the Faerie found herself cursing her foul luck.

The bandit furthest to the right loads his hand crossbow and lines up to take a shot at the woman standing just outside of the tree line and releases the mechanism causing the bolt to fly from the crossbow. It whizzes past Iara harmlessly, striking a tree and dropping to the forest floor. (just barely missed too)

Mattias ducked into the cover of the tree again, quickly reloaded his pistol and focused his vision to allow himself to spot the ruffian that had vanished before their eyes.

The thug that Mattias had previously shot seemed to be scanning the tree line for any sign of the source of the bullet embedded in his shoulder, but being unable to spot the Plumekith he instead turned his attention to Savis, rushing to his comrade's aid against the Beast-Kin. As the bandit stepped up menacingly the Beast-Kin stuck out with his rapier, masterfully striking the very point of Mattias' bullet wound, with an agonized shriek of pain the bandit fell, succumbing to his wounds. (5 damage, brings that bandit to -2 hp)

Savis turns his attention back to the large axe swinging brute before him, striking out once again with his rapier. This time however the brute of a man saw the strike coming and deflected the rapier blade with the handle of one of his axes, causing the thrust to miss.

The other axe wielding brute rushed over from the table on the left to aid his comrade, taking up a flanking position against young Savis, and tripped quite gracefully his own axe, cutting a nasty gash into his plump stomach and began bleeding out. (8 points of damage, crit fail on the attack roll against Savis, brings his hp to -3.)

The other axeman once again swung his axes wildly, with Savis easily evading the erratic attack. (attack rolls 2 and 6 just don't cut it)

Zick, finding that his favored target had wandered away and inadvertently gutted himself decided this was no time for a bomb and instead pulled a tanglefoot bag from one of his many pouches and hurled it toward the breastplate wearing human at the most left position at the right table, which he reasoned should prevent the thug from joining the melee against Puppy. The bag stuck squarely against the breastplate and spilled its contents, which hardened upon exposure to the air, rooting the bandit to the table where he stood.

Mattias, being the only one that could see him at the moment, noticed the invisible bandit sprint off behind the cabin and vanish from his line of sight, apparently deciding that it was better to live a coward than stand and fight.

((next round starts here))

The entangled bandit strikes at the good with his sword, hoping to break himself free, but is unable to free himself from the adhesive. (10 of the required 15 damage has been dealt)

Iara, resigning herself to the fact that the bandits were somehow resisting her curses once again faded back into the tree line, plotting what her next move should be. (I'm not sure what else you want to to, so I'm going to have you take cover and watch for an opportunity to strike again)

The bandit that had fired a hand crossbow at Iara drew his rapier and rushed Zick, the Gnome having forgotten just how quickly the taller races could cover the distance was not fully prepared (no attack of opportunity, but not flat footed at least) as the bandit thrust his rapier toward the Alchemist. The bandit however had misjudged his target and thrust too high to connect with the Gnome, leaving Zick quite unharmed, if not a little startled.

Mattias, finding that his original target was now bleeding out on the ground, and the invisible foe he had intended to pursue was long gone decided to close the distance between him and Zick and aid the Gnome with his current bandit problem, reasoning that as Savis seemed to have his situation under control he was in less need of assistance. Mattias lined up the shot from just within the cover of the trees and squeezed the trigger, producing yet another thunderous boom which echoed through the calm of the forest clearing. The bullet connects with flesh, causing a spray of blood as the bandit flinches and screams in agony. (8 points of damage)

Savis once again thrusts with his trusty enchanted blade, hoping that he connects with this thrust. His blade strikes true and he even manages to twist the blade, inflicting further pain on the plump assailant before him. The pain causes the bandit to drop one of his axes. (crit, 12 damage)

The bandit retaliates with his remaining blade, finally managing to strike the agile Beast Mage, who is able to raise his arm in time to keep the blade from striking any vital organs. (5 damage)

Zick takes a step back and quickly hurls the bomb he had previously prepared at the bandit that has swung at him, striking the taller assailant easily while also avoiding any splash from the bomb itself. As the flames engulfed the bandit he dropped to the ground, his last breath consumed by the flames. (13 damage, bringing him to -10 hp)

((round 3 begins, 2 bandits remain))

The bandit that had found himself glued to the table once again slashed at the adhesive holding him in place and is able to free himself from the sticky mess that had bound him in place. However the stiff adhesive still slowed his movement so he was only able to move up to where Savis was standing. Savis, ever perceptive, swung around quickly and thrusts with his rapier at the approaching thug, finding his mark, and another bandit drops to the Beast-Kin's strikes. (6 damage bringing him to -4 hp)

Iara, still fuming at the foul luck she has experienced thus far remains hidden within the trees, the small fey that crowd around her taunting her and teasing.

Mattias decides to conserve ammo and powder and spends the round reloading his weapon in case something else come out of the cabin. With that thought he turns his keen avian eyes to the cabin and spots movement through the window, something is in fact moving in there, and heading toward the door.

Savis once again strikes at the overweight bandit before him, striking another precise blow and twisting the blade he causes the bandit to drop his other axe at this feet and stagger backward before falling to his knees. (another crit, 8 damage. not enough to take him down, but enough to render him staggered from back to back crits)

The bandit then passes out from blood loss, falling unconscious, but breathing steadily. It seems he will recover if allowed to.

The victory is short lived though as the door of cabin comes flying off the hinges and crashing to the floor between the table and the doorway. In the doorway stands a hideously scarred and burnt Hobgoblin, his grotesque chest uncovered by armor or clothes, he wears no red armband like the other crumpled figures lying around the clearing, but instead a bright crimson sash around his waist, marking him as a high ranking bandit within the Crimson Fist. He steps out of the cabin and bellows menacingly, "You have some nerve coming into my forest and interrupting my hot and wet fun with the twins here!" With that two females step out of the doorway and take places at his left and right side. The one on his left wears a flowing grey robe, a similar red sash, and her flame colored hair, contrasting starkly against her copper-hued skin, seems to move as though it were actually a flickering flame. The figure to his right has skin the color of the sea just after a storm, and her thick straight hair is a darker shade of the same oceanic blue. She wears leather armor and also wears a red sash around her waist.

((This is where I will stop it for the week, I do not have these three fully written up just yet, though I do know race, class, and level, so it's just a matter of getting them down on paper. Please post proposed courses of action for the following combat, and I will update as soon as I have posts, or Monday, whichever is sooner.))

With a second slain foe crumpled at their feet Crowe gave an appreciative nod to his battle companions and turned his attention to the next threat. His training had never really focused much on combat, but he was beginning to see why so many trained for it, the adrenaline, the rush, it was a high he had not felt before and this new experience drove him onward.

As Doc informed them of his intent to assist the fading elf Crowe gave a swift nod and a hand motion indicating that the medic should go swiftly to his duty. He then turned his attention back to the human, he really would have to make a point of learning this one's name, and stated quickly, "Shall we tend to the other swift one while the Doc handles his work?"

Then Crowe spotted something he had previously deemed impossible, the orc-kin had rushed down from his spot hiding in the dunes and had offered up his service to the Doc.

((Assuming Reynard agrees, Crowe will take off toward the remaining sprinter and work with whatever backup may be available to take it down, hopefully before any other casualties are had. If a slower zombie gets too close, or something else (raised elf perhaps, if that's going to happen) presents itself as a more imminent threat to their safety he will divert his blade to dealing with that threat, but his first priority at this point is the sprinter.))

@ Nomad, you are roughly 60 ft from the other table if you are aiming to throw a bomb at the center of the table. Savis is engaged in melee at that table presently and it appears Mattias also has plans to move toward that table, though for your first round he is not there yet.

Subject: Round two, recap.

A good round for our band of newbie adventurers, if I do say so myself.

The Silent Image was a stroke of genius, coupled with the fumes the bandits were easy to fool into believing they had been stricken blind, rendering them panicked to the point they could not take an action.

This in turn left them clustered up nicely for Zick's bomb, once again damaging all 3 bandits.

Mattia's attack roll just did not land against the bandit, but his own aim was no better, so neither is worse off.

Without a post from Impulse I decided to default him to a melee attack, as he has stated he would remain between these thugs and his allies as best he could. The bandit he angered simply could not roll well enough to draw any blood himself.

To speed things along I am going to ask that you post the next three rounds worth of actions so I can resolve them in initiative order either until all actions are taken or the combat has ended, whichever comes first. Knowing that some of these foes may fall I do not expect you to declare targets in advance, something like "Zick will throw another bomb at the left table until his foes are burnt to a crisp." or perhaps "Zick will only use one more of his limited bombs per day before switching to [insert another option here] and attack the nearest foe or aid [ally here] with their target."

This way I can resolve three rounds in one sitting and move us beyond this combat.

Iara struggled to hold back her disdain for the fat human pig that had dared to resist her attempts to cloud his mind as she once again invoked the sylvan magicks that flowed in her veins. With a motion toward the left table she spoke one word and caused phantasmal masses of darkness to envelop the heads of the 3 gathered there. (all 3 failed, no action this turn, or until they succeed at a save next round)

Mattias took advantage of the cover to swiftly reload his weapon before whipping around the tree and lining up the sights on his pistol once again, looking to put yet another hole in the bandit he had already perforated. It seemed his aim was less true this time as the projectile thundered harmlessly past the bandit and into the cabin wall beyond.

The bandit locked his gaze on the gunslinger and leveled his heavy crossbow and let fly a bolt. His aim, however, was no better and the bolt struck a tree and stuck. Frustrated the bandit threw his crossbow to the ground and drew his sword and shield, readying himself for up close and personal combat.

Savis, ever eager to protect his companions, charged the large bandit at the right table, his trusty rapier in hand. Using the momentum of his charge he was easily able to strike the bandit in the shoulder, puncturing his leather armor with ease. (6 damage)

Taken aback by the audacity of this DOG the bandit staggered back slightly and drew his axes, swinging both at young Savis in an act of retaliation. To the bandit's further dismay neither of his axes struck the beast before him as the swift Beast Mage was able to anticipate and avoid the attacks.

Zick, quite pleased with the results of his first bomb, opted to throw another bomb, noting that it would simply take too long to reload his contraption to be effective in this situation. With all the might his little Gnomish arms could muster he hurled the bomb once again toward the bandit at the center of the left table. As before the bomb found its target, exploding with a fiery bang. (12 fire to target stuck, 6 to adjacent bandits).

The rapier wielding bandit at the right table drew a glass vial from his belt pouch and drank down the contents, vanishing from sight. (potion of invisibility)

The center bandit is still standing, was the bandit on the right that tripped. I can resolve your bomb against the center one if you prefer (assuming of course they are still there on your turn).

Mixed emotion swelled up in Crowe as he and the human, who's name escaped him right now, finished one of these foul things fairly quickly. One one hand he was feeling pride in the accomplishment, on the other hand the unexpectedly explosive aftermath was quite gut wrenching and he felt a bit queasy. He was glad to have had at least one of his traveling companions join him in this endeavor, it reaffirmed his conclusion that this was the right idea. "I'm going to have to remember to ask my comrade his name again if we make it out of this."

The ones closest to them seemed slow, stiff, and uncoordinated, they seemed to pose minimal threat at this time. However the faster fiends which were focused on the elves were clearly a much larger issue that he assumed should be dealt with swiftly.

((He'll attempt to close any gap between himself and the nearest "sprinter" and hope for a repeat of his luck with the first one.))

Crowe intends to join the battle, if it is to the death, then that is his destiny.

The fact that they are Elves is NOT Crowe's only motivation. As voiced earlier, he believes that strength on numbers can overcome this foe and remove a potential threat that the group would not be able to handle further down the line without the added aid of the Elves before us.

He's also not fond of sitting idly by, so he would be eager to act and get something done than to just watch as others are slaughtered.

I am prepared for the fact that he may not make it out of this, and I am at peace with the idea. If he survives then he will come out stronger and more knowledgeable for his rash actions, and will likely have formed a closer bond with any who decide to join him in the fray, thus building toward the idea that the group could in fact come to be considered "family" and therefore a priority as they grow together. Crowe's actions may be reckless and rash, but I have put a lot of thought into this.
