Happy belated Birthday, Den Mother!

Greetz and Well Met, RP Noob!!

I'm so glad you found the sticky useful! Of course, now that rather cuts down on all the stuff I used to say in these intro threads. So, have a tall stein of spiced mead by way of further welcome and have fun here!!

A little bird told me this morning that it's somebody's birthday today, someone near and dear to bunches and bunches of us Innmates and yet after his being here for 10 years, I can't find a birthday thread to necromance in his honor!

Ummm. . .so Bromern is a Ninja here? Maybe even a Pirate Ninja owing to his ARRGH battle cry? I have to wonder if tagless Hanes would have helped Alacrity in this situation.

Just like with the first strip, these are full of laughs and leave me in eager anticipation of the next myth to be broken. Splendiforous work as usual, gentlemen!

Topic: Loaded Dice #78: Can't PLease Some People
Subject: qwerty

That is. . .one HUGE wagon there! Did anyone else notice how Faustus' sword cut through the beast's arm on its way to the chest? Yay for bonus gore!

Steve has got to be up to something really devious--I don't feel he's the type of DM who mollycoddles his players with cheap kills after they whine about tough monsters for however long. I think Amy's with me on this owing to her silence in the last panel.

Jing, I'm really liking your close-ups of the players in this strip, plus the expressions of Amy, Ray and Rich in the last panel. The only constructive criticism I can offer here is that when you have large panels that are relatively simple (panels 5 through 7) maybe just a little more detail like on Faustus' pauldrons (shoulder pieces), or on the beast's face. Something as small as little black pupils in the beast's red eyes would have made him way scarier and intimidating at least for me. You really do the hair of your subject's justice, and the mortal wound on the girl in panel 5 was just right--it's there, but not too gruesome. Speaking of details, that whitish zigzag on the beast's head. . .it seems out of place somehow. Perhaps I'm overthinking this, but could it be some tribal tattoo or mark of it's master (like the white hand sported by the Uruk-Hai). I can't shake the idea that it's important to the story. . .hmmmm.

You just have to see it to believe it!!! The word "Epic" gets bandied about all too often, but trust me, it does apply here!

Oh, that twitchy hyperactive Ray! Instead of a gunblade, why not a flamethrower powered by a captive Fire Elemental?

Thanks for these quick-and-dirty filler strips, Jing! It's kind of like seeing the LD gang in the between-strips action. You stay very true to the characters' mannerisms and idiosyncrasies in these.

Bloody amazing stuff, Chessic. Whatever fears you may have had in posting this are, given this community and your undeniable talent, quite unfounded.

I think I got through my third read-through before I couldn't see the screen anymore through the tears.

Just brilliant work here--keep at it guy 'cause you my friend have something special!

Subject: Uh, wow

I'm with Jozan1 on this (and Eol, of course). I'm glad to be oblivious and unknowing about what's been transpiring, yet sad that it apparently took place and caused so much grief in the community. As so many before have stated this IS a refuge from the travails of real life, and whiny little trolls and malcontents can just find somewhere else to be, thank you (may I suggest 4chan?). Let those in need of correction be corrected and if that doesn't work, I humbly suggest the Mods reach for their brooms, hammers and other implements of bannery.

Subject: And what a wonderful morning it is!

Well, this hasn't happened ever before to my recollection--I wore three different RDI t-shirts over the course of three days recently. Saturday I wore the super-spiffy Raven RDI logo tee to my mother's belated birthday party, then a lightweight RDI logo tee to work Sunday night, and then a Loaded Dice logo (the one I keep as nice as possible) to my dentist appointment Monday morning. Gotta represent!

Edit: And ya know what? I'll likely hit the hobby shop later this morning--time to break out the Save vs Breast Weapon shirt for that jaunt!

Spectaculous effort, Tiamat! That is a right difficult song to play, what with the tempo changes and all.

Topic: Loaded Dice # 77: Heroic Looting
Subject: Thanks, Jing!!

Yes indeedy I did enjoy #77! I think Faustus better recheck his alignment--seemed just a little too eager to loot the dead. Either that, or he holds to a different Code of Honor where looting comes before securing the safety of innocents. That child crying out for help should haunt the quiet moments in his head forever. , Ray was so happy to loot the Gnolls he actually stood up from the table to make his argument! Way to Lawful that Good, Ray.

The last two panels got me good, Jing! Firstly with Steve and his Cool Hand Luke Man-with-No-Eyes look (oh, how the players are gonna pay for this!) and then with the drippy-edged last panel and everyone glaring at Brad and Ray--awesome!

OOooh, I just discovered a box of California Raisins figurines from the 80's in the attic--let's make a cyberpunk game based on them! But really, it's awesome that you don't hold slavishly to one edition or genre. So long as there is fun to be had, there will always be a game!

And boy, IS there fun to be had at the Inn!! Whether it's being a player, a DM, an artist, a poet, a storyteller--you'll find something without hardly having to look!

Yes, we are both warm and fuzzy and we like to think of Red Dragon Inn not only as our digital home away from home, but also a pleasant corner of the Interwebz free from the rampant troll-ery so prevalent elsewhere. It may be a bit chaotic but we still like it clean. So, yeah like Tuned_Out said my sticky is ready to amuse and edumacate you as to how things work here, just read the one in the forums as I've made updates not in the archived version. Adventure Awaits, 4d2--get out there and grab some!

Greetz and Well Met! *Waggity-wag!*

Yes, to the best of my knowledge, hosting Sticknia's archive is still a go. Waiting on the Boss for an ETA. In the meantime, please peruse our other offerings Loaded Dice and MythBreakers!

We're a rather warm and fuzzy bunch here at RDI, so if you have questions, PM a Staff Member or look to the "So You're New Here" sticky in the Comings and Goings forum.

And now, may I present you with:
A fluffy face towel (keep it handy)
A tall stein of spiced mead
and a bouquet of wildflowers, all picked within eyeshot of the Inn.

So poke around the Inn, Red--Adventure Awaits!

Especially with any video game or movie attached to the D&D property. I mean I enjoyed BGDA 1 and 2 immensely as well as Atari's other D&D offering D&D Heroes, plus the Champions of Norrath series. After reading your review I hit YouTube and watched other review videos. They said mostly the same thing as you did, Boss although most admitted the grind so prevalent in these games was as addicting as in other games. Had this been released without the D&D tag I might have sprung for it, buuuuuut. . .expectations only go up with the association to the Grand Game. Most likely, according to another reviewer, Atari will release DLC for the game in the future. In the end, I think I'll stick to Torchlight.

I think flirty's got a point there regarding the username lending a little confusion here. I had the fortune to meet you early on in Chat so I for one was never in doubt. Having said that, please don't change it--I'd hate to see it later as "Korban, Lord Humungus of the Atomic Wastelands." Truthfully, I had Ion Kired totally pegged as a gal for the longest time until HE corrected me. I think it was the avatar more than anything. . .oh, and the tap-dancing.

In short, it's the Internet and people can't help making assumptions sometimes. Shrug it off, gently correct those who assume wrongly and move on.

Why U No show most recent messages first?

Maybe it's due to irrevocable code that can't be changed, but it would make more sense to have unread/newer PM's show up first.

By way of further welcome, please accept this fluffy face towel, a tall stein of spiced mead and a hearty handshake! Take a moment and look over the Terms of Service in the Common Room and the "So You're New Here" sticky in the Comings and Goings forum. Both of those will go far to get ya started here. And speaking of beginnings, how did ya find the Inn?

Yes, fantastic vids Tiamat! You are definitely among the coolest of dads ever! Adopt me, please?

That first vid is really INTENSE!! Good editing and matching with the dialogue and the music! What band/song is that playing?

On the second vid, is the Bird's Eye Film Lab theme from the Conan the Barbarian film? It is so terrific that you're sharing your love for Star Wars with Pyro; I hope he realizes how blessed he is to have you as a father!
