Disregard Roleplay, Acquire Power Jing, this coloring of the sunset scene is just superb!

Bromern Sal, the Myth-Weaver

Mythic Rare

Creature--Planeswalker

3UG

Loyalty Counters 5

+1: Target creature you control gets +1/+1 and Trample

-2: Redirect the target of an instant or sorcery spell that targets you or a planes walker or other permanent you control to another target. This ability may be activated at any time.

-10: Creatures you control have Shadow until end of turn. (Creatures with Shadow can block or be blocked only by creatures who also have Shadow)

Planeswalkers operate a little differently from the creature cards you're used to seeing here. In game terms, a Planeswalker is like another player altogether who aids the actual player. The numbers before the effects denote how many Loyalty Counters the player adds or subtracts from the Planeswalker once each turn. A Planeswalker can be attacked like a player (creatures can block to avoid damaging the Planeswalker) and must leave play if they have no Loyalty Counters.

And welcome to our humble corner of the digital realms, SlenderNinja!! *Tail Wags!*

Before I give you advice on DM'ing, it might help if you'd say what specific opportunities for improvement you think you have. Because without that, all's I can do is point you to basically any game master guide from any version or genre. What generally works in Pathfinder works in 4E as far as the basic tenets of running the game, dealing with players and constructing adventures. As to advice about the Inn itself, well that's covered in the "So You're New Here" sticky in this forum. Hope that's useful to ya.

But anyway, here's a tall stein of spiced mead and a bouquet of summer flora from the hinterlands of the Inn. We do hope you enjoy your stay!

First off, it's terribly brave of you (or really anyone) to post your work here for us all to see, so kudos off the bat!

The first poem seemed a bit simple to me at first especially with its repetitive nature and singular rhyme scheme. With a few more readings I did grow to like it more and came to see it fitting in very nicely as something a bard would recite (complete with lyre accompaniment) to a lady at the behest of a gentleman seeking to woo her. Probably very far off from your intent, but that was my impression.

Now, the second one was immediately more engrossing. Is the speaker arguing with God there? I think we've all been there at least once in our lives, and you captured/expressed that rather well.

Post more, please!

Normally, this is where I'd offer you all kinds of advice, but that's all covered in the "So You're New Here" sticky in the Comings and Goings forum. Give it a read if you haven't yet, hope it helps.

Enjoy your time here at Red Dragon Inn--may it be lengthy, productive and fun!!

+1 for the linky help, Boss!

Subject: *Snaps fingers* Epiphany!

I got it! Finally! After much reflection and a stein of spiced mead I figured it out. Huddle up, this is important. . .

Dalana's archery faux-pas was INTENDED! Don't you see? It ties in so beautifully with the Roll Save vs Stupid tagline! Dalana's way too proficient with a bow to ever goof up like that UNLESS IT'S PART OF THE JOKE!

I can haz 2 Marvel "No-Prizes" plz?

Jing. You are amazing! And yes, a +1 from me.

I think Ladan's seemingly having two left hands is up for debate. . .it may be just the meat of his right hand compressed by the weight of counterbalancing his mace that gives the illusion of a thumb being there.

I can haz Marvel "No-Prize," plz?

What isn't up for debate is that if Dalana looses her bowstring, she is going to roll a 1. The arrow isn't properly nocked and it appears that it is resting below her hand at the grip judging by the angles here.

Now that the nit-picking is out of the way, I certainly approve of this style! I like how Jhim's face is kind of wrinkly, either through age or sheer concentration. Dalana looks "hawt" as always! Ladan seems really young here, I guess clean living has its advantages! Just the right amount of subtlety on Aranion's armor--great job on that! What's this design on Faustus' armor here? Is that a horse with leaves behind it. . .I can't quite tell. Anyway, nice touch!

Yeah on the whole I'm very very pleased with this! Like we saw last strip your coloring and shading are just where they need to be, especially Faustus' highly-polished sword, the folds of clothing and Jhim's dancing butterfly lights. Sweet tagline, too!

Only 7 votes and one comment thus far (by yours truly) on reddit?

Please take a moment if you haven't done so and vote up the strip. Don't have a reddit account? Yeah, that little quest takes less than a minute and is well worth your time. A lot of our current Innmates found their way to Red Dragon Inn by way of the comic and by voting it up Loaded Dice's exposure on reddit gets bumped up and that--hopefully--leads more awesome people here.

Yeah, six hours--that sounds right for a one-shot adventure.

+1 from me, Ody for the great limerick! That last panel really sums up the payoff for us DM's: happy and enthusiastic players who leave excited about the next session. Well done! Speaking of anticipation, after seeing Jing's coloring and especially all the detail she put into the hair of each person I have to admit I'm droolin' a bit awaiting the next strip.

Thanks again to Annick's work on the strip and keeping the ship sailing--wish you the best.

And as for you O Captain, My Captain may you also have clear sailing and lucky albatrosses as we head into the seas of Chapter Two!
